Best teaching practices in kindergarten

Project “Acquaintance with the hometown as a means of patriotic education of children of senior preschool age”

Nemkina Elena Vladimirovna, teacher at MBDOU kindergarten No. 2, Perm region, Kungur

"I found out that I have

There is a huge relative:

And the path and the forest,

In the field - every spikelet,

River, the sky is above me -

This is all mine, dear!”

V. Orlov

In the draft national doctrine of education Russian Federation it is emphasized that “the education system is designed to ensure the education of Russian patriots, citizens of a legal democratic, social state who respect individual rights and freedoms, have high morality and demonstrate national and religious tolerance.”

Much has been written about the importance of introducing a child to the culture of his people, since turning to the national heritage fosters respect and pride for the land on which you live. Therefore, children need to know and study the culture of their ancestors. It is the emphasis on knowledge of the history of the people, their culture that will help in the future to treat with respect and interest cultural traditions other peoples.

It should be emphasized that quite a lot of methodological literature on this issue is currently being published. Often it highlights only certain aspects of moral patriotic education children in specific types of activities, and there is no coherent system that reflects the entirety of this issue. Apparently, this is natural, since the feeling of patriotism is multifaceted in content. This is love for one’s native places, and pride in one’s people, and a feeling of one’s inseparability with the outside world, and the desire to preserve and increase the wealth of one’s country.

Based on this, the work of a preschool institution on the patriotic education of children of senior preschool age includes a whole range of tasks:

Fostering a child’s love and affection for his family, home, kindergarten, street, city;

Formation of a caring attitude towards nature and all living things;

Fostering respect for work;

Development of interest in Russians folk traditions and crafts;

Formation of basic knowledge about human rights;

Expanding ideas about Russian cities;

Introducing children to the symbols of the state (coat of arms, flag, anthem);

Developing a sense of responsibility and pride for the country’s achievements;

Formation of tolerance, a sense of respect for other peoples and their traditions.

The moral and patriotic education of a child is a complex pedagogical process. It is based on the development moral feelings. Feeling of Motherland. .. It begins in a child with the attitude towards the family, towards the closest people - mother, father, grandmother, grandfather. These are the roots that connect him with his home and immediate environment. The feeling of the Motherland begins with admiration for what the child sees in front of him, what he is amazed at and what evokes a response in his soul. .. And although many impressions are not yet deeply realized by him, but, passed through childhood perception, they play a huge role in the formation of the personality of a patriot.

The basic stage in the formation of love for the Motherland in children should be considered their accumulation of social experience of life in their city, the assimilation of accepted norms of behavior, relationships, and familiarization with the world of its culture. Love for the Fatherland begins with love for one’s small homeland, the place where a person was born.

In this regard, it is of great importance to familiarize preschoolers with the historical, cultural, national, geographical, natural and ecological uniqueness of their native land - the Perm Territory. Getting acquainted with his hometown and its attractions, the child learns to recognize himself as living in a certain time period, in certain ethnocultural conditions and at the same time becomes familiar with the riches of national and world culture. In this regard, the successful development of a child aged 5 - 7 years old when getting to know their hometown will only be possible if they actively interact with the outside world in an emotional and practical way, i.e. through play, subject activity, communication, work, training, different types activities typical of preschool age.

Relevance of the topic

Everyone has it happy person have your favorite city. Most often, a favorite city, town, or region is the place where a person was born or spent a lot of time, where a person’s childhood passed, because it is with childhood, unless, of course, it was difficult, that most people have the kindest memories. No matter how old a person is, he always remembers some moments from his childhood, and with them the places where they happened, that is, in his favorite city. Moreover, this city does not necessarily have to be a capital or a millionaire city. It can be a quiet, abandoned town and at the same time be the most beloved city, as many pleasant impressions are associated with it. Everyone's love for the city manifests itself differently. For example, poets write poems about their favorite city, composers write music, artists draw pictures, thereby glorifying the city and perpetuating its memory for many years. I want the kids to love the city they live in! This project is dedicated to Kungur - the city that is the homeland of my students.

In this project we will talk about the significance of the history of our native city and its influence on the patriotic education of preschool children. The successful development of preschoolers when getting to know their hometown is possible only if they actively interact with the outside world in an emotionally practical way, i.e. through play, object-based activities, communication, work, learning, and various types of activities characteristic of preschool age.

Problem

Of great importance for cognitive, social-personal and moral development preschool children have an acquaintance with their hometown, its attractions, the street on which the child lives, and famous people who built our city.

Parents have insufficient knowledge about their city, do not pay attention to this problem, considering it unimportant, children do not have sufficient information about their hometown. Without sufficient knowledge, it is difficult to form a respectful attitude towards the small Motherland.

Consequently, we consider this problem to be relevant not only for our kindergarten, but also for society as a whole.

Conceptual basis of the project.

“To know is to love” says a Russian proverb. That's why we begin to introduce children to our small Motherland - the city of Kungur at preschool age. This knowledge, and therefore a sense of pride in their city and people, will help the child to properly manage, own, preserve and increase the heritage received from previous generations.

Mastering this knowledge is possible with targeted, systematic participation in educational process teachers, preschool employees, parents of pupils.

Thus, based on the above, we formulated the goal, objectives, expected result, and criteria for assessing the effectiveness of the project.

Objective of the project:

Implementing an integrated approach to education in the spirit of patriotism, introducing preschoolers to the history and culture of their hometown, local attractions, nurturing love and affection for their native land.

Project objectives:

Create conditions for the perception of information about the historical past and cultural appearance of the native land;

To familiarize preschoolers with the historical, cultural, geographical, natural and ecological uniqueness of their native region;

Develop a caring attitude towards the city, its attractions, cultural values, and nature;

Develop children's coherent speech; enrich and activate children’s vocabulary, teach them to think freely and fantasize;

Cultivate a sense of pride for your fellow countrymen, an emotional and value-based attitude towards the region.

Project participants

Children 5-6 years old (senior group)

The project provides for the active participation of parents, children and educators.

Project implementation timeframe

Principles

When lining up pedagogical process The following principles are based on introducing preschoolers to their hometown:

The principle of historicism.

It is implemented by maintaining the chronological order of the described phenomena and is reduced to two historical concepts: the past (a long time ago) and present (Nowadays). For this purpose, a local history mini-museum was created, material was selected about the city of Kungur and the Perm region, including both information about the historical past and the modern cultural appearance of the native land.

The principle of humanization .

It assumes the teacher’s ability to take the child’s position, take into account his point of view, not ignore his feelings and emotions, see the child as a full partner, and also focus on the highest universal concepts - love for family, native land, Fatherland.

The principle of differentiation.

It consists in creating optimal conditions for the self-realization of each child in the process of mastering knowledge about their hometown, taking into account their age, experience gained, characteristics of the emotional and cognitive sphere, etc.

The principle of integrativeness.

It is implemented in collaboration with the family, the children's central children's library, city museums, etc. The content of local history material is determined taking into account the combination of all types of activities when introducing children to the historical and cultural features of the city of Kungur.

Predicted result.

Enriched and systematized children's knowledge about the history of the city and its cultural values. A steady interest in studying this problem has been formed.

Increasing parental competence on the presented problem.

Participation of families of pupils in the educational process.

Developed methodological and didactic support for this section.

The implementation of the project will improve children's, parental and pedagogical competence in matters of history and culture of the city of Kungur, and will help to form a caring attitude towards their hometown.

Consequently, this project contributes to the formation of not only cognitive interest, but also has social significance.

Project implementation

The project is being implemented in 3 stages.

Stage I- preparatory, includes:

  1. survey of parents' knowledge and ideas about their hometown, its history, attractions,
  2. diagnosing children in order to identify the level of formation of knowledge and ideas about the history and culture of their hometown,

Stage II- main, includes:

  1. Classes with children in accordance with the long-term plan,
  2. joint events with families of pupils,

Love for the Motherland is not an abstract concept,

Kostin “My Motherland is Russia”, N.V. Aleshina “Patriotic education of preschool children”, R.S. Bure “Social and moral education of preschool children aged 3-7 years”, N.V. Miklyaev “Social and moral education of preschool children.” Due to the fact that in the above-mentioned literature the material is not systematized, we have developed a long-term plan to familiarize children with their hometown and region.
