New Year's crafts from balloons. DIY Christmas balls

Necessary materials:

  • old postcards;
  • compass;
  • ruler;
  • pencil;
  • glue;
  • awl;
  • decorative ribbon or lace.

Manufacturing:

On the back of the cards, draw twenty circles with a radius of 3.5 cm with a compass, and then cut them out with scissors. On the back side of each circle we draw an equilateral triangle, using a pencil and ruler or a pre-prepared template for this purpose. We bend each circle on three sides along the marked lines. To make the bend even, you need to use a ruler.

We make half a ball from five fragments. To do this, lubricate the bends with glue and connect the parts together. In the upper part we make a small hole using an awl and thread a decorative ribbon or lace through it. We glue the remaining blanks in the same way, after which we assemble the entire ball.

New Year's paper ball

Necessary materials:

  • colored paper 3 different colors;
  • stapler;
  • thin wire;
  • glue;
  • lace.

Manufacturing:

On colored paper of each color we draw 4 circles of the same size. You can simply outline a small glass or a pre-prepared cardboard template. Cut out the drawn circles with scissors.

We bend each circle in half, after which we put all the blanks together. In this case, it is necessary to alternate colors (color 1,2,3) in the following sequence - 122331122331. We drag the stack of circles with a thin wire, placing it on the fold line, twisting the ends together. If desired, you can fasten paper blanks using a stapler.

We straighten the circles, and then glue the adjacent halves together. Each part must be glued to two adjacent halves: one at the top, and the other at the bottom.

New Year's ball made of CDs

Necessary materials:

  • New Year's transparent ball without a pattern;
  • unwanted CD;
  • scissors;
  • glue Moment;
  • bright decorative ribbon.

Manufacturing:

Cut the CD into small pieces various shapes. Since cutting a CD is quite difficult, it is better to use sharp garden shears for this purpose. Next, we begin to glue the cut parts to the New Year’s ball using Moment glue. We glue the entire surface of the ball so that there is a small distance between the mosaic elements. We place a bright decorative ribbon inside the ball, which can be seen through the gaps formed between the pieces of the CD.

New Year's ball with corrugated paper roses

Necessary materials:

  • corrugated paper;
  • foam ball;
  • decorative tape;
  • glue Moment;
  • beads.

Manufacturing:

Roll corrugated paper cut into small strips of the same size, and then twist them into small roses according to the pattern shown in the photo.

We tie the flowers tightly at the base with thread so that they do not bloom. We trim the stems of the flowers in the area of the thread. We make a loop from decorative tape and attach it to the ball. Then we begin to glue the paper roses to the surface of the ball so that there are no gaps left. We fill the places where gaps have formed with large beads.

Fragrant New Year's ball

Necessary materials:

  • orange;
  • wide elastic band or ribbon;
  • cloves or cinnamon;
  • toothpick;
  • decorative tape.

Manufacturing:

We put it on the orange wide elastic band so that it is located exactly in the middle of the fruit. If desired, you can use regular tape instead of an elastic band. Using a toothpick, make holes at equal distances from each other across the entire surface of the orange, except for the place that is covered with an elastic band. Insert cloves or cinnamon into the holes made.

Do not place the spices too close to each other, as the orange will shrink in size as it dries. To add more flavor, the ball can be dipped in other spices. Place the craft in the oven for 1 hour or wait until it dries naturally(about 2 weeks). We attach an elegant ribbon to the New Year's ball, with which it can be hung on the Christmas tree.

New Year's ball made of buttons

Necessary materials:

  • multi-colored buttons;
  • foam ball;
  • sewing pins with a beautiful head;
  • decorative tape.

Manufacturing:

Making this Christmas tree decoration is quite simple. To do this, we attach a loop of beautiful decorative ribbon to the foam ball, by which it can be hung. Then we string one or two buttons onto a sewing pin and simply stick it into the ball. We continue to cover the ball with buttons until they completely cover the entire surface.

New Year's ball made of fabric

Necessary materials:

  • foam ball;
  • scraps of any fabric;
  • thread or ribbon;
  • any decorative elements (beads, buttons, bows, ribbons, etc.).

Manufacturing:

The process of making such New Year's balls is very simple and will not take much of your time. First, attach a loop of thread or ribbon to the foam ball. We wrap the foam blank in scraps of any fabric. Even scraps from old ones are suitable for decoration. knitted products and tatty burlap. We decorate the finished Christmas tree decorations with a bright bow, buttons, beads or any other materials that your imagination tells you.

To create New Year's balls from fabric, in addition to polystyrene foam, you can use any other spherical base (an old worn Christmas ball or any round object) or you can simply stuff the fabric with cotton wool.

New Year's ball with felt flowers

Necessary materials:

  • cardboard;
  • foam ball;
  • pink and white felt;
  • threads;
  • beads;
  • decorative tape.

Manufacturing:

We attach a decorative ribbon to the foam blank, having first folded it into a loop. We draw templates of two colors on thick cardboard different sizes. Apply a larger flower template to felt fabric Pink colour and outline it. To create a New Year's ball you will need a lot of these flowers, so we immediately prepare the required quantity.

We perform a similar procedure with a smaller flower template, but on white felt. Cut out all the flowers drawn on the fabric. On pink flower We apply white and sew them together, glue a bead into the center of the composition. We collect the rest of the flowers using the same scheme. We paste the resulting flowers over the foam ball as shown in the photo.

Christmas balls made of fabric

To create a New Year's ball from fabric you will need:

A foam ball with a diameter of about 7 centimeters;
- colored synthetic fabric;
- a lot of safety pins;
- a string of white beads;
- scissors, heat gun.

Christmas balls made of fabric step by step:

Cut the fabric into squares with sides about 5 centimeters. For special texture, it is advisable to use squares of two shades (photo 2).

To simplify the workflow, draw median lines directly on the foam ball. In total, you need to make eight lines located at an angle of 45 degrees to each other (photo 3).

Take a square of fabric and fold it in half, then in half again. Attach the square to the axis of intersection of the median, pin it with a safety pin (photo 4).

Also fold squares of a different color into four parts and pin each ball crosswise to the surface (through one median) (photo 5).

Next comes a layer of squares that need to be pinned in the same way as the first, but stepping back a little from the center and closing the gaps (missing medians) (photo 6). Continue pinning fabric squares to the ball until you have covered exactly half the surface of the ball (Photo 7). It is advisable to make the second half plain (photo 8).

Glue a thread of beads onto the back side of the ball surface using hot glue and twist this element in a spiral (photo 9). While working, a cobweb of glue may remain on the beads - this is not scary. After a few minutes, when the glue has completely dried, the cobwebs can be easily removed (photo 10).

The New Year's ball made of fabric is ready! As you can see, there is nothing complicated in this technique. With great desire and perseverance, you will receive an originally decorated New Year tree.

New Year's patchwork ball.

To make a New Year's patchwork ball you will need:

Scraps of fabric;
- foam ball blank (any size);
- pins;
- felt-tip pen/pen;
- tape measure/centimeter;
- glue stick;
- wooden skewer;
- breadboard knife, compass, scissors;
- lace, ribbon, etc. for decorating the ball.

New Year's patchwork ball step by step:

Take a foam ball as a basis, in this case 60 mm in diameter. Using a centimeter, mark the center line on the ball, divide the circumference in half, mark with pins - these will be the lower and upper points of the ball (photo 1). Using a centimeter, draw another line through these points, dividing the ball into four equal parts (photo 2). By analogy, divide each part of the ball in half, so you will divide the ball into eight equal parts (photo 3).

Now draw a transverse line along the center of the ball. To do this, divide each line from the bottom and top points of the ball (where it was marked with pins) in half, and draw a transverse line along the marks (photo 4-5).

Next, take a compass, place it first at the top point of the ball, draw a circle, then do the same on the other side (photo 6). As a result, you will get a blank, as in photo 7. Make cuts along all the lines (that were marked) using a stationery knife to a depth of approximately 1-2 cm (photo 8).

You will need two templates, one in the shape of a triangle, the other in the shape of a trapezoid. Draw templates on paper, adding an allowance of about 7-8 mm. We advise you not to rush and not to cut out all the elements at once. First, try to cut out one part and secure it to the ball. It is likely that you will need to adjust the pattern, increase or decrease the allowance.

In this case, only two types of fabric were used, so 8 triangles and trapezoids were cut out of plain red fabric and the same number of elements from fabric with branches (photo 9). To secure small elements, use a glue stick, which fixes the fabric parts and prevents them from moving (photo 10).

Then, using a wooden skewer, begin to carefully tuck the excess fabric into the slits, paying due attention to the corners. For convenience, use a large needle with a blunt tip. For large items, a sandwich knife with a rounded tip is suitable (photo 11-12).

By analogy, fill all the parts (photo 13). And after a couple of hours, admire the result (photo 14-15). Now all that remains is to decorate the ball with ribbons, cords, beads, bells, pompoms, and caps for beads (photo 16).

New Year's balls made of threads.

To create Christmas balls from threads you will need:

Air balloons
- dense decorative threads or thin multi-colored cords
- PVA glue + glue container in which you will need to make holes
- needle, scissors

Christmas balls made of threads step by step:

Take balloon ik and inflate it to a suitable size. Tie it up. You can knead the ball a little in your hands to give it more round shape.
Thread the decorative thread through the needle and pierce the empty plastic glue container all the way through. It is better to do this closer to the bottom of the container.

When the thread passes through, pour PVA glue into the container, of which you will need quite a lot. It is not advisable to dilute it with water.

When using a thin ribbon, you can soak it completely in glue (Figure 3).

Pull the thread through a container of PVA, soaking it entirely with glue, and wind it around the base ball. When winding the thread, the ball must be turned frequently. At the same time, do not forget that the balloon will need to be removed later, so leave a little space in the area where the balloon is tied.

Once the desired density of the ball winding has been achieved, cut the thread, leaving a small tail to create a loop (for hanging).

Next, the ball should be left until completely dry for 1-2 days or dried with a hairdryer for about 5-10 minutes. After the glue has completely dried, pierce the balloon with a needle and carefully remove it. It is more convenient to do this through the place where it is tied. Make a loop from the remaining tail of the thread and tie it to the ball.

Decorate the resulting ball as you wish. You can paint it, cover it with sparkles and sequins, or leave it without decoration.
The ball is ready!

New Year's ball made of fabric

To create these New Year's balls you will need:

A foam ball with a diameter of about 10 cm
- tailor's needles with a metal cap
- three types of fabrics (three colors).

The process of creating Christmas balls from fabric:

The first step is to cut a lot of fabric squares. If your ball is 4 inches in diameter, cut the fabric into 3-inch squares. Make 8 squares of one fabric and 16 squares of 2 other fabrics.

You can also use two small pieces of the first type of fabric so that the foam ball does not show through the first layers. First we will make one half of the ball.

Pin one of the 2 fabric squares into the center of the ball; it may bulge a little, but in any case it will be completely covered by the next layer (Fig. 2).

Then take one square of the first material and fold it 4 times to determine its center (Figure 3). You need to insert a pin into the center of the square from the inside out (Fig. 4). Insert a pin with a fabric square into the foam ball (Figure 5). The fabric needs to be folded in half again, pinning the corners (Fig. 5).

You need to pin three more fabric squares (first material) to the ball. The result should be a completely closed fabric top (Figure 6).

Take the squares from the second fabric and start pinning them onto the ball (Figure 7).

Start with 4 squares, which seem to be a continuation of the previous layer. Adjust the distance between layers as desired. In this case it is about 1 cm. Use something like a template to keep all the pieces of fabric the same distance.

Secure four more fabric squares between them, as in Fig. 9-10.

You can stop at two layers or make a third layer similar to the previous one (Fig. 12).

Next, you need to turn the ball over and repeat the above steps with the second half of the ball. However, when placing pieces of fabric on the second side of the ball, it is necessary to take into account the first half, but 100% compliance is not necessary, since the joint will be covered with fabric.

So, the excess material at the junction of the 2 sides can be trimmed off. After which you can cover the joint with the material of the second layer, decorate with an organza ribbon. Pin one edge of the ribbon and sew the other.

You can also make a bow from a ribbon, by which the ball can be hung on a Christmas tree.
Glue or sew, as desired.

Ball made of fabric using the artichoke technique. Master Class.

An excellent master class on creating a completely textile ball with your own hands from scratch.

To create a fabric ball using the artichoke technique you will need:

Fabric for base;
- template paper + pencil;
- needle + thread, sewing machine;
- padding (sintepon/cotton wool).

To decorate the fabric ball:

For the lining there are two red squares, 8 beige squares measuring 5*5 cm, 16 squares of the same size, but of a different color (in this case with green stars), 16 squares of a third color.
- beads for decoration.

Artichoke fabric ball step by step:

1. Creating a fabric ball - the base.

Prepare a pattern from paper (Figure 1). Transfer to the fabric from the wrong side (Fig. 2). You will need to create 4 petals. Cut, remember to leave a seam allowance (Figure 3). Sweep the petals together in pairs (Figure 4-5).

Machine stitch on one side (Figure 6). As a result, you will get “pockets”, as in Fig. 7. Fold them together with the front sides (Fig. 8-9).

Sweep or pin. Then we grind it down (Fig. 10-11). Leave a hole on one edge of each petal through which the future ball will turn out and be stuffed (Fig. 12-13).

Fill the ball with filler and then sew it with a hidden seam (Fig. 14-15). As a result, you will get a ball, as in Fig. 16.

2. Ball decoration:

Take all the squares for decoration (except for those for lining), fold in half and iron (Fig. 18).

Place the squares intended for lining in the middle of the ball and pin them with pins so that they do not fidget (Fig. 19).

Then take the ironed beige squares (rectangles) and fold them into triangles (Figure 20-21).

Place such a triangle in the middle of the future fabric ball, as shown in Figure 22, and pin it in place.

Pin the 4th triangles and get a blank, as in Fig. 23. Start sewing the corners of the triangles. Sew opposite corners of some triangles (Fig. 24), and then others (Fig. 25).

Sew a bead for beauty at the junction (Fig. 26). Bring the needle under the triangles, as shown in Fig. 27. And carefully sew the triangles along the edge to the base of the ball (Fig. 28).

As a result, you will get something like in Fig. 29. Do the same with rectangles with asterisks. First, fold them in the form of triangles, and then put them on the ball and pin them with pins. Place the triangles in the proper order (Figure 30-31). Sew similarly to the previous steps (Fig. 32-34).

Apply triangles of the third color (Fig. 35-38).

As a result, you will get a half of the ball like this (Fig. 39), make the second one by analogy.

After that, cut strips measuring 5*10 cm and fold them in the same way as in Fig. 41. Iron everything. Attach it to the ball and pin it with pins (Figure 42). This must be done in order to decorate the sides of the ball.

Once again, cut strips 5*10 cm long and fold them as in Fig. 43-44.

Place these triangles on top of the previous ones, as in Fig. 45. Overlap (Fig. 46). Pin everything with pins (Fig. 47) and sew (Fig. 49-50).

Cone using the kanzashi technique. Master Class.

To create a cone using the kanzashi technique you will need:

Satin ribbon about 2.5 cm wide (two colors);
- base ball for ping pong;
- thread, monofilament or thin fishing line;
- thermo gun;
- tweezers;
- bead or attachment to Christmas tree decorations.

Cone using the kanzashi technique step by step:

Initially, cut squares of ribbons of two colors with a side of 2.5 cm and fold them in half in triangular modules(photo

1). One fabric square needs to be secured to a ping pong ball, gluing the center and edges well (photo 2). The base ball should be placed on a small jar, for example, a cream jar - this way it will not roll around on the work surface.

Fold the triangular modules in half again (photo 3). Then make the first row - glue four modules at once onto the surface of the ball so that it looks like a square (photo 4). Subsequent rows should consist of 2 parts, four modules in each.

Glue the second row of modules. Glue the first part of four modules between the parts of the first row (photo 5). And glue the second part between the parts of the first part so that the lower part of both parts of the second row is at the same level (photo 6).

Also glue all subsequent rows, alternating the colors of the modules (photo 7-8).

After gluing the penultimate row of modules, glue a piece of satin ribbon, hiding the surface of the ball (the same as at the beginning of the work process) (photo 9-10). Next, glue the last row of modules (photo 11-12).

The almost finished kanzashi cone needs to be decorated, starting from the top of the Christmas tree decoration. To do this, gather a satin ribbon onto a thread and pull it together to form a bow (photo 13). Hide the middle of the bow by gluing a mount for Christmas balls to it (photo 14).

A cone made using the kanzashi technique is ready to decorate the New Year tree.

Christmas tree ball using kanzashi technique.

To make a Christmas tree ball you will need:

Satin ribbon 2.5 centimeters wide in primary color (about 2.7 m) + ribbon for spirals (about 1.1 m);
- ping pong ball;
- wire, awl;
- decor: sequins, beads, pins, cord for hanging;
- heat gun and all other tools for Kansas production.

Christmas tree ball using quilling technique step by step:

The base will remain inside the Christmas tree decoration, so inexpensive ping-pong balls, which are very light, are best suited. The ball tolerates hot glue well, so there is no need to wrap it in anything and you can glue the “petals” directly onto it.

You will also need to securely attach a ribbon for hanging. Of course, you can simply glue the bead, but you can also secure it more securely by marking the middle approximately on both sides and piercing it through with an awl (photo 1). Then secure the wire with the fixed bead (photo 2). Try on the top (photo 3).

Glue sequins or other decoration and form the top (photo 5). And start gluing the petals.

1st row: 2 white, 2 red, 2 white, 2 red
2nd row: 1 white, 3 red, 1 white, 3 red
3rd row: increase, glue 2 petals. 2 white, 6 red, 2 white, 6 red

Continue in the same spirit without increasing the quantity.

In photo 10 it is noticeable that the petals are starting to “crowd” too much; it is clearly necessary to reduce them to the original 8 petals. And the last row is also 8. It took 144 petals to make this ball.

You can, of course, take not 8, but 10 petals in the first row, and then the ball will turn out more magnificent, since the petals will be attached more tightly.

The Christmas tree ball using the quilling technique is ready!

New Year's toys made of sequins and beads.

For the manufacture of New Year's toys you will need:

Foam ball (about 6 cm in diameter);
- sequins and beads;
- needles with pearls.

New Year's toys made from sequins and beads step by step:

Sequins on a foam base can be attached in a chaotic manner, using fittings of different colors. So, take a sequin and put it on a needle with a pearl. You can also attach several sequins at once different forms. For example, first put a sequin on the needle blue color in the shape of a snowflake, with blue and/or purple on top.

Begin to carefully insert the needle into the foam ball, trying to fill its entire surface without gaps. You can place one sequin on top of another, but in this case you need to make sure that all the sequins are located at an equal distance from each other.

New Year's toys made of sequins and beads are ready!

Unbreakable christmas balls with your own hands

To create unbreakable toys you will need:

Floss threads of different colors + needle
- a foam ball, you can cut it yourself from polystyrene foam or make it from foil, newspapers, tightly tied with threads. Can be used different materials, just make sure that the balls don’t turn out too heavy.
- all kinds of decor (you can even use ready-made New Year’s applications)

Unbreakable Christmas balls step by step:

First of all, you will need to wrap a round workpiece with threads, for which you take it and start wrapping it crosswise several times. You need to wind it tightly enough. Finally, secure the end of the thread to prevent unraveling.

Now let's start decorating the ball (here everything will depend on your imagination and the availability of decorations). If you know how and love to embroider, you can embroider all kinds of New Year's ornament. You can also sew a suitable applique to the toy, decorate it with beads, beads, or fabric flowers.

Finally, do not forget to make a holder for the finished Christmas tree decoration in the form of a rope, by which the ball will be hung on the Christmas tree.

Sweet New Year's balls. Master Class.

To create New Year's balls you will need:

Chocolate glaze;
- Balloons;
- kandurin;
- soft wide brush;
- baking paper;
- mastic/marzipan;
- wire;
- colander.

Sweet New Year's balls step by step:

Fill a balloon with water, tie it and place it in the freezer for 24 hours. Melt the chocolate glaze and fill it into a bag made of baking paper. Remove the ball from the freezer and remove it from the ice ball that formed from the water in the freezer.

Place the ice ball on a sheet of baking paper and decorate the ball on all sides with chocolate icing. Any glaze that accidentally ends up not on the surface of the ball, but on the baking paper, after hardening, remove it from the paper and use it again.

While the ice is melting and flowing through the holes in the chocolate painting, prepare the top for the balls. Twist a loop from the wire, and form a top from mastic or marzipan. Cover everything with silver/golden kandurin. Connect the top to the ball using melted chocolate.

Note: for pearl and silver balls, we recommend using white chocolate icing.

New Year's openwork balls from paper.

We invite you to make these bright, openwork New Year's balls for the New Year that will fit perfectly into the interior or help you decorate the New Year tree.

To create openwork New Year's balls you will need:

Sheets of thick colored paper in A4 format;
- knife for artistic cutting;
- needle and thread;
- glue, scissors;
- beads for decoration;
- template (presented at the end of the article).

The process of creating Christmas balls from paper:

First of all, you will need to print out the templates on paper. If desired, you can resize the template proportionally.

Next, start cutting out patterns using a pattern knife. Part of the paper with the design can be covered with a sheet of paper so as not to accidentally erase the diagram during operation (Figure 2-4). After cutting the pattern, begin cutting out the unfolded ball along the contour (Fig. 5).

Now you need to give each part of the cut out diagram a rounded shape, for which you can use a round pencil (Figure 6-7).

Then punch holes on both sides at the end of each petal (Figure 8).

Roll the cut paper into a ball and glue the edges of the development (Fig. 9).

All that remains is to make a loop from the thread - and the New Year's ball is ready for hanging.

New Year's ball made of fabric and foam.

To create these New Year's balls you will need:

Styrofoam ball with a diameter of about 7-8 cm;
- satin fabric or other fabric as desired;
- braid or ribbon, decorative beads;
- glue gun;
- scissors, knife.

New Year's ball made of fabric and polystyrene foam step by step:

First of all, mark the ball. To do this, take a thread, wrap it around and tighten it so that a small groove is formed on the ball for further work. The ball can be divided into any number of parts - 4, 6, 8, etc. In this case it was divided into 4 parts. You can draw the lines with a pencil for convenience.

Next, using a knife/scalpel, make cuts along the marked lines, about 7-8 mm deep. This should be done quite carefully so that the ball does not fall apart in your hands, especially if its diameter is small (less than 6 cm).

Cut a petal out of fabric large size than the slices on the foam ball and begin to tuck the edge of the satin fabric inside in a neat manner. First insert to a depth of about 3-5 mm. After you go around the entire outline, cut off the excess fabric and hide the edges. Thus, cover the entire surface of the ball, slice by slice.

Then start decorating. Place the ends of the beads inside the ball. Secure the loop with a drop of hot glue. Moment type glue can cause the foam to begin to melt. Pull the beads tightly so that they do not dangle when finished. And also with the second half of the beads.

Cut the loop to the desired length, add a drop of glue, insert the tails, and press.

The New Year's ball made of fabric and foam is ready!

You can tie a bow, draw snowflakes or glue sequins!

Such a ball will become a great gift for the New Year!

Decoupage of New Year's balls.

To decoupage Christmas balls you will need:

Plastic balls with a diameter of 8 cm;
- three-layer napkins with a pattern;
- acrylic paints of different colors: white, blue, yellow + brush;
- PVA glue;
- acrylic lacquer;
- a little semolina;
- sparkles;
- contours on ceramics and glass;
- a piece of sponge for washing dishes;
- plastic board for modeling.

Decoupage Christmas balls step by step:

You can purchase simple balls without a pattern in any color (gold, purple, silver, matte or glossy.

Take a ball and a piece of sponge, put a little white paint on the board, dab the sponge into the paint and apply it with point movements onto the ball. Make sure that there is always paint on the sponge, then you will get the effect of a snow coating on the ball.

Paint all the balls in this way and hang them to dry for about an hour.

Meanwhile, prepare your napkins. Why separate the top bright layer from the white one. Carefully cut out the design.

Dilute the PVA with water by half and glue the design to the ball. Start gluing from the center of the picture, gradually moving towards the edges. Do this action with all motives.

For balloons with bunnies, make light yellow paint and apply it with “smacking” movements around the motif on a white background.

After the paint has dried, coat the ball with varnish.

Next, let's create a winter effect, for which take not a large number of white paint and mix it with semolina until you get a thick porridge. Using a thin brush, apply to the ball in those places where there will be snow.

Let it dry. After that, take varnish and small silver sparkles, and cover the semblance of “snow” first with varnish, and then apply glitter.

Decoupage of New Year's balls is completed!

Wool Christmas ball.

In this master class you will see the process of making New Year's wool balls. The process is quite simple and does not require you to master wool felting skills.

At first glance it may seem that it is very difficult to learn felting. felt toys. But such beautiful things can be done without certain skills and special tools. However, in this case, you will still need to purchase wool from a craft store, and then you can make exactly the same woolen Christmas ball. Children will be delighted with these balls - they can be removed from the branches and played with snowballs right in the apartment!

For making wool Christmas balls you will need:

Felting wool in different colors;
- padding polyester (other filler);
- sewing needle + thread, scissors;
- pins with pearls;
- nylon stocking;
- optional decor: beads, sequins.

Wool Christmas ball step by step:

Form a ball of padding polyester and tie it with thread so that it holds its shape. Then evenly wrap colored felting wool around the padding polyester blank, secure it with a felting needle or using regular pins.

After completely wrapping the ball in wool, place it in a nylon stocking and tie a knot. All you need to do is wash the workpiece in hot water(V washing machine) on the “boiling mode” and squeeze at maximum speed. Then remove the ball from the stocking and dry it.

Start decorating - mark the future design with pins. Decorate the ball wool threads, securing them with pins with “pearls”, thereby laying out the desired pattern. Secure the resulting decor using sewing threads, while decorating the ball with beads and sequins in the places where the pattern is secured.

Attach a beaded loop to the top of the Christmas ball and you can hang it on the tree.
Happy Holidays!

Painting a glass ball for a Christmas tree.

To paint the ball you need:

Glass bowl;
- contour for glass and ceramics;
- stained glass paint on a varnish base (here from Hobby Line);
- paint for creating pearls (here from Viva Dekor);
- thin synthetic round brushes number 1 or 2 (ideally, each color has its own brush);
- the most inexpensive nail polish remover (acetone);
- cotton pads, rag.

Painting a glass ball on a Christmas tree step by step:

First, think about what you will depict on the ball. Here, elements of lace served as inspiration (photo 2). Apply the design with a silver outline. First, you can draw a schematic drawing using a washable marker and make sure that the outline is located next to the line and not on it. While painting, the ball can be placed on a mug or glass - this way it will be fixed and will not turn over (photo 3). Since the ball is round, first paint one part and let it dry (this way you don’t accidentally push the drawing together while working) (photo 4).

After you have painted the entire surface of the ball and allowed it to dry completely, proceed directly to painting. For this ball, white and blue stained glass varnish paints were used. For the third color they were mixed together in the lid (photo 5). Carefully drop paint onto a fragment of the design and stretch it to the edges. The advantages of varnish paints include quick drying and the complete absence of air bubbles on the surface, which is quite important when painting small elements (photo 6). Let the paint dry before starting to paint the adjacent element so that the paints do not mix (photo 7).

Slowly paint the entire surface of the glass ball. Let it dry by hanging it somewhere, just make sure first that the paint will not bleed (photo 9). Decorate the ball with paint to create pearls (photo 10). Place droplets of different sizes wherever you wish. Let dry.

Clean paint brushes using nail polish remover and cotton pads. By changing the color of the outline and paints, you can paint a couple more balls.

Christmas ball decor polymer clay.

To create such a ball you will need:

Clay of two colors (in this case red + white);
- glass ball;
- two 18-inch strips about 2x4 long;
- extruder;
- wax paper;
- glue;
- rope/ribbon for hanging.

We decorate the Christmas ball with polymer clay step by step:

Drill a hole in the top of the bar that is slightly larger than your extruder. Fasten the two planks together using a connecting loop. Next, you need to close the slats and create a shallow hole in the bottom of the slats in the same place. This will prevent the piston from slipping. To use this design, simply insert an extruder with clay into it.

Then put two pieces of clay of different colors together and wrap them in wax paper, the ends of which should be slightly longer than the “sausages” (Fig. 8-9).

Now, using an extruder, you need to squeeze out two-color strips of clay (Figure 10). Then clean the piston from the extruder and proceed to the next step (Figure 11).

Take one of the resulting thin strips and lay it out on your work surface. Cut one end and start twisting into a spiral (Figure 13).

Then place the twisted spiral of clay in the lower center of the glass ball and gradually begin to wind this strip onto the ball in a spiral (Figure 13-14). Use glue to hold the clay on the surface of the ball. When you have covered half the ball, carefully trim the end of the “sausage”.

It's easier to work with clay when it's not raw, so hang the ball on a wooden stick or toothpick, place the ball in a glass container and bake in the oven for 30 minutes at 265F. After the ball has cooled, remove its iron top and continue wrapping it with clay.

Continue until you completely cover the surface of the ball with clay. Try to connect the “clay sausage” as clearly and evenly as possible. Then replace the iron ball mount and bake for 30 minutes.

Decorate the finished ball with a beautiful bow!

Good afternoon. Today we will make New Year's balls with our own hands (and children's too). I will show you how you can decorate simple Christmas tree balls, turning them into a beautiful New Year's craft. In one article I collected SEVERAL techniques at once- so that you can choose the creative option that you like best... seems easier... or for which you have suitable material and idea. I did a lot large selection ideas... and I will not only give you photographs (they say, figure out for yourself how and what is done)... but I will give INSTRUCTIONS to create all the ideas I found with my own hands.

Today I will tell you -

  1. what can be made from a TRANSPARENT Christmas ball (six ideas at once)…
  2. several ways to decorate Christmas tree balls with SPARKLING SPRINGS...
  3. decorate the New Year's ball with semolina and SAND WITH SHELLS...
  4. how to cover a ball with BEADS AND RHINESTERES...
  5. what can be made from FOAM BALLS (and where to buy them)…
  6. how rubber STAINED GLASS PAINT can decorate a designer Christmas tree ball...
  7. how to make a VINTAGE ball WITH LACE.
  8. how to decorate Christmas balls with PLASTIC (and bake them in the oven)
  9. how to make a Christmas ball with your own hands with a MIRROR MOSAIC.

So, let's get started and start decorating the balls for our Christmas tree.

FILLING into transparent balls.

Our first DIY Christmas ball decoration idea is to keep it simple. You've probably seen it on sale often. TRANSPARENT Christmas balls. They are made of transparent plastic or glass and have a slightly wider NECK, than standard balls. This is not done in vain - the manufacturer assumes that you want to put something in such a ball... a shiny brooch... a scattering of buttons or glass... rhinestones with sequins... candies in bright candy wrappers... congratulatory notes or others. Here in the photo below we see options with sweet caramels.

And most importantly - The SURFACE of the ball can also be decorated...can be drawn snowflakes paint(or nail polish)... and cover them with glitter nail polish with glitter or sparkling sprinkles.

Or you can cover such a ball with elegant pieces of ribbon... (as on the red-green ball below) ... and also glue rhinestones and sequins to the ribbon.

Can I have a ball like this? fill with something white(with cotton wool or airy sweet marshmallows). And then such a ball will turn white... and the drawn eyes, mouth and nose of the SNOWMAN will stand out well against the white background.

Is it possible to fill such a transparent ball? notes wishing you happiness...or just print on any printer New Year's poem... cut its lines into strips...and load it all inside the Christmas ball. First grade children will be happy to read snippets of such a New Year's poem.

Another great idea is that you can put it in such a ball drop a puddle of paint- and rotate the ball with your hands to let the paint flow into a fancy pattern

Then, when the first color dries, repeat the procedure with a different color of paint. As a result, we will get a very bright multi-colored New Year's ball of the author's work. Your kids will love this Christmas tree craft.

Here... these were ideas for transparent balls... And now I will also show an interesting technique for balls of a single color (that is, balls without patterns, and we will draw patterns on them ourselves).

GOLDEN POLLEN + GLUE - as a way to decorate a New Year's ball.

This is a very simple technique... We need a ball, a tube of PVA glue, and gold sprinkles or glitter.

  • The Christmas ball needs to be one color(best MATTE)… that is, non-shiny, without gloss… dull colors.
  • It is better to take PVA glue in a jar with a narrow spout(because it is with this nose that it is convenient to apply patterns to the ball). Or you can use a brush.
  • Gold sprinkles can be obtained in three ways: FIRST - buy in those departments of the store where kits for children's creativity... SECOND - buy manicure powder for nails... THIRD, you can buy a fluffy shiny garland-broom for the Christmas tree and use scissors to finely trim the fringe from this garland, so we will get a large amount of sparkles.

And now that you have all this, you can start decorating the New Year's ball.

Glue straight from the tube draw a line resembling a Christmas tree(photo below) ... and immediately while the glue is fresh, sprinkle it with golden pollen, count to 10, shake off the remaining pollen from the ball (just let the pollen fall on a sheet of paper) ... and leave the ball to dry for 1 hour.

You can choose any design (not just a Christmas tree)… a star… a snowflake… an inscription… the initials of the author of the craft…

To glitter sprinkles was spent sparingly. There is one simple trick.

Shake the pollen onto a sheet of paper (which we first folded in half and then unfolded). This is convenient because then it is very convenient to return the excess glitter from such a sheet to the JAR. To do this, simply fold the sheet with the sprinkles in half again (along the fold line it already has) and all the sprinkles are collected in the fold groove... and right along this groove it flows in an even stream back into the jar with the sprinkles.

The sprinkles matched to the color of the ball look beautiful... for example, golden pollen on a matte gold ball... or silver pollen on a metallic gray Christmas tree ball (as in the photo below).

And by the way, you see simple ideas HOW TO DRAW A SNOWFLAKE on the ball in simple lines and dots. You see (you don’t even need to be clever) just spreading lines... and at the ends of the rays we slap dots (see photo with the golden ball above)

And you can also add GLUE RHINESTONES... and a beautiful stylish one pattern in the form of a checkered pattern and a hanging teardrop piece of ice(see photo with a silver ball above). You can repeat on the ball the same patterns that frost draws on glass... stripes and curls.

You can just do it islands of sparkling sprinkles...dry them...and then draw on top of the island more strips of glue in the shape of a snowflake...and sprinkle them sprinkles of a DIFFERENT COLOR(this is how we see snowflakes made of red sprinkles against a background of gold sprinkles in the photo below).

So what... if your children don't get it exactly right?...Don’t even think about scolding them... But carefully preserve these masterpieces... in twenty years when a grown-up scoundrel brings a bride into the house... one day you will have a family New Year's table show this entire New Year's collection of crooked stars, shaggy snowflakes and fat-assed horses that he drew on balloons when he was 4 years old... it will be really cute... it will cause a lot of smiles... and cheerful banter from “good” friends like... “hmm-ah, already in his youth , he understood that a good mare should have a good butt)))…

SPIRITS – beads... rhinestones... sequins... grains

You can also use semolina as a topping... it looks great against the background of blue balls... it creates an imitation of crumbly snow...

YOU CAN MAKE beautiful STYLIZED BALLS... with a simple pattern in the form of STROKES-STRIPS... as if carelessly applied to the ball... Only each strip is sprinkled with its own sprinkles... or small beads.

Or you can simply apply droplets of glue to the ball - and put a sequin or rhinestone on each droplet

GLUE FOR BEADS AND RHINESTERES is needed more seriously than PVA...

Here it is better to use SHOE GLUE - it holds well and does not smell as much as Glue Moment - even children can work with it without harm to their health.

Or you can use a glue gun.

AND you can also use RIVER SAND as a topping ... fragments of shells... mother of pearl... and beads with the same color as sand. Against the background of a blue or turquoise ball, this decor looks very beautiful... like a piece of beach against the backdrop of sea water (photo below with a blue New Year's ball)

You can also buy large rhinestones and stick them on the Christmas ball (with strong glue, shoe glue or moment)... Wait until they stick - and then apply CIRCLES of PVA glue around the fear... and cover these circles with sparkling sprinkles... you will get a ROYAL New Year's ball (photo below with a golden ball)

Balls can be covered with small beads... sprinkled sparkles... beads and even bugles (bugles are long transparent tubes).

NEW YEAR'S BALL - made of foam blank...

Here's an idea for creating a New Year's ball from scratch. That is, we take for zero foam ball blank.

You ask: where can I get it? I answer - you can buy it at a craft store - type in Google FOAM BALL to buy in your city - and you will immediately find a bunch of addresses where you can find such a ball. You can also order such foam plastic balls on the Internet with home delivery - for example, they are always available on the ALI-EXPRESS website (one ball costs a couple of cents) and you can buy a whole pack for a dollar.

Most quick way decor foam ballsthis is the BIN METHOD... we take decorative tinsel... these can be BUTTONS or cut out flowers FROM FELT.

And just pin it all down with pins. In a chaotic manner. We get a bright decorative Christmas ball with our own hands.

In the sewing departments of the store you can find a lot of textile flowers. If you buy pins of the same color (for example, red) and buy white flowers... you will get a very beautiful New Year's ball.

You can also use SMALL FOAM scattered beads for this decoration purpose. They are easily pierced. then the beads can be painted directly on the ball.

Or you can take plastic beads (they already have a hole) and litter the entire ball with them.

Or you can go to a hardware or construction store and buy special ones there decorative nails for upholstery(or for upholstering a leather door) and stick them into a foam ball. Let's get a beautiful Christmas tree ball in the spirit of hi-tech.

Or maybe from CREPE PAPER(it is sold in rolls at office supply stores for a dollar per roll) - make these are the little roses. And just stick the roses on a foam ball... here and there you can add a rhinestone or bead to spice up the decor.

And such foam plastic balls can be decorated with the SAME SPRAY that we used in the previous paragraph of our article. We coat the ball in PVA glue and sprinkle it with sprinkles (finely cut “rain-garland” from a Christmas tree)… or sparkling nail sprinkles… or a special one bought in a store.

If large elements are planned on the ball (rhinestones or cord edging) then FIRST we glue these elements onto good glue (shoe or moment)... dry... then fill the rest of the space with a coating of PVA glue and sprinkle with shiny sprinkles.

You can use thin braid on the ball (left photo below) ... or large oblong rhinestones. You can glue it beautifully at an angle - sequin ribbon… And metalized cord(photo with the blue ball below). You can find among the decorative Christmas tree things small beaded cord... and braid part of the ball with it.

NEW YEAR'S BALL DECOR– CHILDREN’S STAINED GLASS PAINTS

For this method we need children's stained glass paints... (not adults). Children's paints for stained glass crafts, when drying on polyethylene, easily come off it... and then easily stick to the glass of a window or mirror... and just as easily come off it. And adult stained glass paints in iron tubes are already indelible and cannot be washed (they are not suitable).

ESSENCE OF THE METHOD– mix stained glass droplets (for example white + red) on a plate – after drying... remove these stained glass cakes from the plate (they become like rubber and come off easily). And we put these cakes on the Christmas ball - they are sticky and easily stick to it. Finally, you can coat the product with varnish (acrylic for crafts or hairspray).

Any child would be happy to do this kind of work with his own hands. It's simple and interesting.

DIY New Year's ball

using the LACE technique.

You can also make a Christmas ball with beautiful elements lace. Lace is very simple stick on the ball... or pull-sew like a cobweb... that is, first cut the lace into elements... then sew each element again to each other... but with LAYING THESE ELEMENTS AROUND THE BALL... (that’s exactly how, without glue, the lace is laid on yellow ball from the photo below).

Another option is to buy ELASTIC LACE - the kind that stretches like stretch... And stretch a strip of lace onto ROUGH BALLS (as in the lower photos of red and pink balls). The lace was pulled tightly onto the ball... and the fact that the balls have a non-slip rough surface prevents the lace strip from slipping off the New Year's ball).

And here I found something else for you MASTER CLASS on creating a VINTAGE Christmas ball.

To do this, we need to buy beautiful lace in the store (preferably RELIEF, it will look textured). Using PVA glue, glue the lace onto the ball... let it dry and, if desired, apply PAINT to the lace using a BRUSH... AND IMMEDIATELY wipe off the excess paint with a SPONGE or SPONGE...

We get a beautiful VINTAGE EFFECT - a New Year's ball, stylized as antique.

DIY Christmas ball WITH MIRROR MOSAIC.

And these balls with mirror shards also look very beautiful. Such a ball can be made very simply - and you don’t even have to break the mirror.

All we need is simple diskCD. We cut it with scissors (it cuts easily) ... you can cut it into triangular fragments ... you can cut it into squares (first into long strips ... then cut the strips into squares).

And when we get ours mirror cut tiles. All we have to do is put it on glue. Shoe glue can come in handy here... or a glue gun (a gun is sold at hardware stores for $7-10).

These are my ideas for today. But that's not all - I found a bunch of other ways for you to make a New Year's ball with your own hands. And therefore we will continue this topic in our next articles.

And in continuation...

Good luck to you New Year's crafts with Christmas balls.

  • cocktail straw

    pencil

    needle and thread (or wire)

    awl or screwdriver

  • various decorations(optional).

1. You need to cut out 6 strips of colored cardboard. The stripes should not be too wide.

2. Using an awl, make a hole at the end of each strip.

3. Lay out all the paper strips as shown in the image, and use an awl to make a hole in the center.

4. Prepare a thread, a needle and a bead, which will need to be attached to the bottom of the future ball.

Cut the thread to the required length so that you can hang the ball.

Pull the first bead all the way through.

Pull the needle and thread through the hole in the center of the strips, leaving a bead at the bottom.

5. Cut off approximately half of the cocktail tube (its length is 1/4 the length of the paper strip), insert it into the center of the workpiece and thread a thread and needle through it.

6. Start bending the strips at the top and pull a thread and needle through the hole at the end of each strip. It is also better to secure a bead on top.

Paper ball for New Year

Have you ever wondered how to make Christmas balls with your own hands at home? If the answer is yes, then you will like this article.

Many have New Year holidays associated home comfort, tasty food, and, of course, bright decorations. But the pleasure of preparing for this celebration becomes even greater if every little detail is created with your own hands.

First of all, this applies to toys. Many people have a huge amount stored at home. Christmas tree decorations, which have been collected over the years. But the time comes when you want to add something new, and the toys presented in stores are either extremely expensive or not beautiful enough.

This is where school handicraft lessons come to the rescue.

Preparation

Before you start making toys with your own hands, decide on their style. You can combine different techniques, be it decoupage or felting.

But first of all, the color and design are selected. The selection of matter depends on them. Make sure that all the details are in harmony with each other.

Advice! You should not start production 1-2 days before the New Year. The crafts may not work out the first time, the tree will remain undecorated, and your mood will be ruined. It is better to start preparing at least a week before the holiday.

When it is decided which technique will be used, you can proceed to the selection of materials. You shouldn't skimp on their quality.

These may be improvised means, but they are durable and retain their primary characteristics over a long period.

The place where the work will be carried out must be well prepared. Most techniques involve the use of glue, paints, or other substances that leave marks on surfaces.

For methods such as decoupage or creating decor from threads or fabric, prerequisite is the period during which the product is left to dry completely.

It is worth choosing in advance a suitable place where the balls can gain strength in safety from children and animals.

We draw ourselves

Decoupage technique

This is one of the most simple techniques, which does not take a lot of time and effort. To create balls using this method you will need the following:

  • wooden or foam blank;
  • PVA glue;
  • printed images or decoupage napkins;
  • decoupage varnish;
  • acrylic paints;
  • putty;
  • stencil;
  • beads, lace, ribbons.

When everything is prepared, you can start working. First, the drawings or napkins are treated with decoupage varnish. This will preserve the vibrant color of the picture. While the varnish is drying, take a round stencil and use a pencil to transfer it to the workpiece.

Advice! Instead of special stencils, you can use cups or glasses with a suitable bottom diameter.

Glue the design and quickly cut several notches, thanks to which the napkin can stick evenly. We also apply glue on top of the picture. Leave until completely set.

On the other hand, you can apply beautiful putty reliefs through a template. After this, carefully sand the edges and folds of the drawing.

You can also use a nail file. Acrylic paints we tint the decoration. To do this, you can use paints of the same shades that are in the picture.

The rest of the surface can be painted in ivory tone.

Finally, coat the finished mold with varnish. This is done at least three times, maintaining an interval of 1 hour. Finally, you can decorate the products with lace or beads, and fasten a loop in the upper part.

Origami crafts

The art of origami has a long history, and you can spend a lifetime studying all its features. Paper or cardboard makes interesting figures that can decorate any interior.

But the New Year requires something special, and festive origami will help here. It is created from bright sheets, corresponding to the festive surroundings.

Execution steps

The kusudama technique allows you to create decoration with an unusual texture by combining several elements together. Several steps need to be completed:

  1. Fold the sheet in half so that it takes the shape of a triangle. The same must be done on its other side. When the sheet unfolds, two diagonals should form on it, which are smoothed out well.
  2. Next, fold the sheet in half, forming a rectangle. This also needs to be done on both sides, smoothing out the bends well. After this, the sheet is laid out again. Eight folds appeared on it, converging in the center.
  3. You can also notice four small squares with diagonals. Take the bottom left square and bend the top left and bottom right squares behind it so that they bend diagonally. We smooth out the finished origami.
  4. We place the paper in front of us so that it forms a diamond, and bend the corners inward so that they meet in the center. We do this on both sides, after which we bend each right triangle formed after the bends inward.
  5. In front of you will lie a rhombus, its shape reminiscent of a crystal. In its upper part we bend the corners towards the center. Pull the top inward. This needs to be done on each side.
  6. We lay out the sheet completely, then bend it so that the product forms small elements, while hiding the corners inside. The result is a beautiful pointed flower.
  7. We form many of these flowers of different shades and tie them together with thread, forming separate blocks, which we later combine. Christmas tree decoration ready.

Wallow

The dry felting technique is perfect for this. You will need stiff wool, as well as a needle specifically designed for working with such material.

Advice! Use several colors of wool: coarse in a natural tone and decorative in several shades.

We place a large washcloth on the workbench, which will serve as a base. We take the bundle, twist it into a sphere and begin to pierce it with a needle. This should be done fairly quickly, while following safety rules.

You only need to hold the mold lightly, resting it on the sponge. You need to pierce until the fibers acquire the desired rounded shape. It is important to ensure that no irregularities appear on the surface.

When everything is ready, you can proceed to the next stage - decorative processing. To do this, take the wool and use a needle to drive it into the sphere. Next, take a long piece of fibers of a different shade and also drive it in with quick movements.

To do this, you will need a thinner needle than for coarse wool. Add more fibers as needed. It's better to take festive colors: green, red, blue.

After this, you can also add new stripes of a different color, crossing them with the existing ones. When the craft is created, we proceed to attach the loop. It can be made from ribbon, sewing it with regular threads.

Beads that are secured in the same way will be an excellent decoration. All protruding threads and fibers are carefully trimmed.

Fabric jewelry

You can create incredible things out of fabric. beautiful crafts without much effort. Coming up with a design, independently or together with your family, everyone will receive a lot of pleasant impressions. For this you will need the following materials:

  • foam base;
  • festive fabric (satin, fabric with a pattern);
  • ribbons;
  • paper;
  • scissors;
  • hairpins;
  • stationery knife;
  • silicone glue gun.

On the foam plastic we draw vertical segments of the same size. We cut them shallowly with a stationery knife. We measure the parameters of the segments and transfer them to the sheet. It will serve as a stencil for fabric.

It is better to cut segments 1–2 mm larger than on the ball so that they are well secured.

We cut out the canvas, and then fasten it to the workpiece using pins. The edges of each piece are pulled into the holes. After that we take long ribbon and fix its end at the top.

We stretch the ribbon, pulling it along the seams of each segment. We fix the turns with silicone glue.

From another strip we form a small bow and a loop, which we also secure with a gun. If desired, the product can be decorated with beads and rhinestones.
