Round napkin using the fillet technique, small diagrams. Pattern of a simple napkin with a rose using the fillet knitting technique

Friends, when I just started writing this blog, one of the first articles was devoted to the basics fillet knitting crochet Naturally, I was going to develop this topic, but somehow I never got around to it... And then a wonderful pattern for a napkin using the fillet knitting technique caught my eye.

What's good about this scheme? It's very clear! Even if you have never tried yourself in the technique of fillet knitting, then knowing symbols applicable to crochet patterns, you can easily figure out how to knit such a napkin. Well, if for you the symbols are “dark forest”, then don’t despair, I will help you.

So, the topic of our meeting today:

napkin pattern using fillet knitting technique - how to knit

  1. Let's, as usual, first take a close look at the pattern and find out what techniques are used to knit such a napkin.

The diagram shows:

  • Air loops (AP)
  • Double crochets (Dc)
  • Connecting posts (CC)
  1. The entire work consists of 39 rows
  2. To get started you need to knit a chain of air loops... But out of how many, you and I will now count together.

We think...

I got 15 cells, therefore 15*3+1=46 loops.

But take your time, take another look at the first and second rows of the diagram carefully...

In the second row there are two more cells - there are 17 of them. This means that you need to somehow make an increase.

And this is done very simply - everything is clearly drawn on the diagram. To increase the loops of the second row on the right, you need to increase the number of loops in the initial chain, while not forgetting about the lifting loops of the first row.

So, we do this: we knit a chain of 46 VP + 3 VP rise (they replace the first column of the row) + 3 VP for the new extreme (right) cell of the second row + 1 VP rise = 53 loops

Now that we've sorted out the initial chain, let's start crocheting the first row of the napkin.

Row 1 – connecting stitches in the second, third and fourth loops from the hook, how to knit connecting stitches, DC in the 8th loop and then double crochets to the end of the row. There should be a total of 46 dcs (including lifting loops)

Row 2 – add stitches for the second and third rows. 3VP for the new left cell of the second row, 3VP lifting, 3VP for the new left cell of the third row, 1VP lifting = 10 loops. Next, dc in the second, third and fourth loops from the hook, dc in the 8th loop, another 5 dc (in each loop bottom row one column at a time). Then there are empty cells, * 2 VP, Dc, skipping 2 loops *, repeat ** 12 more times, 7 Dc.

We knit the 3rd and subsequent rows with increments of cells by analogy, based on the diagram. Please note that in the 4th and 11th rows, not one cell is added on both sides, but more. The principle of adding loops for new cells is exactly the same as we discussed above, the number of loops simply changes. By the way, it is indicated on the diagram. Also in the middle knitted fabric do not forget to fill the cells with double crochets, again, according to the napkin diagram. Attention! In fillet knitting, the stitches are knitted into the loops of the chain, and not under them!

Rows without increases are usually knitted, as with simple knitting crochet

From the 29th row according to the pattern, decreases begin
Cell decreases using the fillet knitting technique are done as follows:

Decrease at the beginning of the row - connecting columns

Decrease at the end of the row - we do not knit the required number of stitches

That's the whole pattern of a napkin using the fillet knitting technique... Having examined it and knitting a simple napkin with a rose, along the way, you and I learned how to add and subtract cells along the edges of the knitted fabric. This method of knitting is a little complicated for beginners, it is much easier to knit such things in two parts, starting from the middle of the product... but more on that another time :)

Hello, friends! I knitted the simplest napkin using the fillet knitting technique. And I decided to write an article for beginners - fillet crochet. You will learn how to knit checks, decreases, increases and how to knit a figured check. You will find many diagrams and learn how to make them yourself.

During boring school lessons or student lectures, almost everyone colored checkered notebook sheets. You paint one cell, you don’t paint one. Remember? So this is the pattern for fillet knitting.

What is loin knitting?

Filet knitting began with embroidery. Imagine it was embroidery on a grid, because fillet is a grid, net, net translated from French. And then they decided to crochet the mesh and, as the knitting progresses, fill the mesh cells with columns or leave them empty. Loin knitting is an alternation of filled and empty cells of a crocheted mesh.

Of course, they knit and fill in the grid cells according to the patterns to get a marvelous pattern. And the diagrams are drawn in the same way as we drew in lessons in checkered notebooks or taken from magazines or on the Internet.

The grid can be a simple square one, or it can be oblique or even with round cells, but you will have to start learning with a regular square grid.

On the left you see how the mesh is knitted, and on the right there is a diagram for this mesh. Actually, the cage consists of 2 chain stitches and one double crochet.

  • knitted a chain of chain stitches until the loop marked with a red arrow,
  • then 3 loops to rise,
  • then 2 chain stitches
  • and double crochet in the loop marked with a red arrow.

And to knit a “shaded” square, after the stitch, instead of two chain stitches, you need to knit two double crochets.

Someone knits into the loops of the previous row, I knit, passing the hook into the space of the cell.

Important:
Make sure that you do not increase the number of loops. That is, one cell is two loops and a column; between the columns there should be 2 loops and no more.

I would like to advise beginners to always knit a pattern. There is no need to knit a large fragment, knit a small part, for example like this:

This method will help you avoid unpleasant mistakes. After all, when you decide to knit a small napkin, you may suddenly end up with a tablecloth for a conference table.

And it’s not just about the thickness of the threads and the size of the hook. All people knit with different densities, it's like handwriting. Even if you decide to knit especially tightly, then after 5-10 rows, your fabric will become the density that nature gave you.

Napkin using fillet knitting technique

I was going to knit my napkin very simply and quickly, so I chose the simplest pattern and took the edging from this elegant rectangular fillet napkin.

And I took thicker threads, I wanted to make a serving napkin that can be placed on a tray under plates.

Napkins, tablecloths, pillows with fillet lace

Fillet knitting is a very ancient art. And during this time, needlewomen have imposed and invented a huge number of luxurious items that decorate our homes.

Tablecloths, curtains and curtains, small napkins and even knitted rugs. There is so much grace and ingenious simplicity in lace items that they will forever take up residence in our homes and are carefully preserved for generations.

It is impossible to decorate your home with elegant knitting and forget about your loved ones. Fillet lace patterns decorate dresses, blouses, and children's clothing.

Sirloin crochet patterns for free

Start with the most simple circuits. Once your hands get used to it, you will feel that knitting using this technique is a real pleasure. After all, the product grows literally before our eyes, of course, because the base is a mesh, and knitting a mesh is faster than a fabric with complex weaves. And the drawing is literally in the palm of your hand, it is very clearly visible and you don’t have to look at the diagram too often.

Here small selection the simplest schemes.

Fragment of a napkin for diagram 11

How to link such a fragment, see the article for beginners

The article contains detailed descriptions, photos and videos from the very beginning to the end of how to knit a fragment of a napkin with cats.

Friends! Those who already read patterns and knit well, but find it difficult to knit ears - Detailed diagram how to knit cat ears for this napkin, and also detailed photos and video, you can watch in the article, right here on this site, just on another tab. Click here " ".

The size and density of the mesh will depend on the thickness of the threads, the size of the hook, the number of yarn overs and the correct execution of the technique. Loose knitting makes the product larger in size but shapeless, while tight knitting creates neat miniature patterns that hold their shape. This is very important when knitting clothes. When creating finely crafted decorative elements, use a hook that is half the thickness of the thread.

Where is fillet mesh used?

In addition to the usual loin mesh(squares), there is a tulle pattern, where there is also an alternation of columns with loops, but in a larger number. That is, in a regular grid, the columns alternate through two loops (in a filled square, instead of loops, there are columns).

And in the tulle pattern there is a “double” alternation: 1) the column is replaced by five loops; 2) the usual square is replaced by five loops, which are attached to the middle of the arch of the previous row. The result is a kind of oval mesh.

The sirloin pattern, despite its simplicity, is used for knitting napkins, tablecloths, curtains, tunics, tops, blouses, dresses, paintings, collars, bags, bedspreads, pillowcases.

Previously, the fillet mesh was only one-color, while the main pattern could be made with double crochets or empty squares. Since such products require a lining, the craftswoman emphasized either the background or the pattern using a contrasting color. Nowadays, the patterns for crocheting fillet mesh remain the same, but the craftsmen have adapted to immediately creating multi-colored patterns.

Knitting napkins

The napkin in this technique can be square, rectangular, oval, round, polygonal, solid or patterned. Beginning craftswomen can use any “loin” patterns, even with zigzag edges. To do this, squares are simply added by adding a chain and columns or subtracted by connecting columns.

You can simply alternate motifs of different colors knitted with a simple fillet net. This base is suitable for creating volumetric mixed media products. For example, for pillows, pom-poms lined with a pattern are attached to such a mesh, or for napkins, flowers are glued to the base using the kanzashi technique.

You can repeat the same element in a checkerboard pattern, getting original napkin. The floral fillet crochet pattern is especially popular (turn the work over after each row):

  • A chain of alternating double crochets and two loops (23 squares in total).
  • 2 empty squares (PC), 7 filled (ZK), 7 PC, 5 full, 2 PC.

Continuation of the rose element for the napkin

  • 4 empty, 5 ZK, 4 PCs, 7 filled squares, 3 PCs.
  • It also starts with 4 PCs, 7 full cells, 2 PCs, 6 ZK, 4 PCs.
  • 5 empty, 6 ZK, 1 PC, 5 full, 6 PC. For clarity and ease of knitting, draw this pattern on a piece of paper.
  • 11 PCs, 1 full square, 3 empty cells, 2 ZK, 6 PCs.
  • 8 pcs, 3 zk-pk-zk, 6 pcs.
  • 5 PCs with ZK, empty square, 6 ZK and PC.
  • 5 empty, 8 ZK, 1 full cell, 5 ZK, 4 PCs
  • 4 full, 5 ZK, empty, 9 ZK, 4 PCs
  • 4 PCs, 1 ZK, 2 PCs, 5 ZK, 3 PCs, 4 ZK and PC.
  • 4 filled, 3 ZK, 1 PC, 3 full and empty, one full and empty square, 2 ZK, 5 PCs.
  • 3 PCs, 5 complete, *1 PC, 3 ZK* - repeat 2 times, *1 PC, 1 ZK* - twice, 3 PCs.
  • 2 PCs, *3 ZK, 1 PC* - 2 times, 5 ZK, empty, 5 ZK, 2 PCs.
  • 1 PC, 5 ZK, empty square, 7 ZK, *1 PC, 3 ZK* - 2 times, 1 PC.
  • Same as row 15, just read the diagram in reverse order.
  • 1 PC, 4 ZK, 2 PCs, 7 ZK, 3 PCs, full and empty, 3 ZK, 1 PC.
  • 2 PC-ZK-PK, 3 ZK, 1 PC, 6 ZK, 1 PC, 5 ZK, 1 PC.
  • 2 empty squares, 4 ZK, 1 PC, 5 ZK, 1 PC, 2 ZK and PC, 1 ZK-PK-ZK, 3 PCs.
  • 5 empty squares, *1 ZK, 1 PC* - 3 times, 4 ZK, 2 PCs, 3 full and empty.
  • 3 PCs, 2 ZK, 1 PC-ZK-PK, 4 ZK, 1 PC, 2 ZK, 1 PC and ZK, 6 PCs.
  • 7 empty, 1 ZK, 2 PCs, 4 full, 1 PC, 2 ZK, 6 PCs.
  • 7 PCs, 2 ZK, 1 empty cell, 5 ZK, 8 PCs.
  • 23 pcs.

The rose element can be knitted with motifs, then connected or immediately distributed along the length of the entire product. This will not affect the quality (this feature is what many people like about fillet crochet). Napkin patterns can be taken from embroidery magazines.

How to knit using a cross pattern

Embroidery patterns are good for their diversity. For knitting paintings, panels or napkins, it is better to choose monochrome designs or those with two colors. The cross stitch pattern is read as follows: an empty cell corresponds to a post and two chain stitches, a filled square corresponds to four stitches. Let's consider a diagram with a spider, the plot of which is suitable for any product (napkins, panels, T-shirts, tablecloths).

Only for clothes, you don’t have to knit a border, but make a spider with a web from empty squares. That is, first there is a double crochet, then two air loops and again a double crochet. In this case, the T-shirt or dress will be made of solid columns, and the pattern will be transparent, then no lining is needed.

For the panels, “reverse” fillet crochet is used. In this case, the napkin diagrams are read forward and backward. That is, you start knitting from left to right, turn the work over and go from right to left. For these purposes, you knit the “black” cells with double crochets, and the background - alternating stitches with air loops.

Napkin pattern with a girl

Many craftswomen use mesh as a basis for weaving, creating unusual images. So, on a napkin with a girl, the entire background is knitted with “empty squares” (stitch-and-loop), and the lady is made mainly with solid double crochets. The lines show where and what color the satin ribbon should be pulled. In this case, all the voids are filled, so the scheme can be used for young girls.

The edges of the napkin are tied with flounces:

  • Alternating two chain stitches with a double crochet.
  • Alternate 6 stitches with single crochets.
  • In one arch you knit 11 double crochets, and in the middle of the other - a connecting stitch. So continue the drawing until the end of the row.
  • On arches with posts, alternate a post with an air loop. The result is shuttlecocks, which are attached to each other with a connecting loop.
  • Finish the tying with three air and connecting loops.

This fillet crochet pattern is suitable even for beginner craftswomen, but the napkin will be unusual. If you use coarse threads, you can knit a bag or clutch using these instructions.

Knitting sweaters

Models with large mesh are worn over T-shirts. If you choose a contrasting color, the design will appear brighter. Such sweaters, tunics, vests are knitted quickly, literally in a couple of days, since the pattern is small, and the squares can be knitted in large ones using four chain stitches).

When knitting a sweater, make a pattern and apply it strictly according to it. Please note that the first row starts with a continuous row of stitches. From it the knitting of the sweater will go up, and the frill will go down. There is a large flower on the front shelf, and all other details are made of mesh (meaning fillet crochet).

The sweater patterns can be modified. To do this, make the pattern with empty squares, and knit the entire jacket with solid squares made from columns. Appearance will be different. Try knitting a small square with a flower in different style and attach it to the T-shirt, you will immediately understand what you like best. Then you grind down the shelves, knit the sleeves, and lastly, work on the binding of the product.

Combination of a sirloin pattern with another pattern

The loin mesh is see-through, so one-piece items require lining. But when combining different patterns, you can knit a skirt for a girl without additional material. The operating principle is simple. Knit from the waist about twenty centimeters in continuous stitches. Switch to loin knitting or bedspreads can be used as a basis, since the mesh will be the background, and not the main pattern, like a jacket).

As soon as you have reached the desired length of the product, you begin to knit flounces. They should be wide, like a bedspread or pillowcase. Mentally divide the fillet mesh in half (this will be the middle). Now, from the beginning of the pattern (immediately after the belt), tie on the first flounce. You start the next tier from the middle, and the last one starts immediately after the end of the grid.

Thus, due to the shuttlecocks, the voids are covered. Another option for knitting a skirt without a lining is to use a mesh like a sweater (description of the pattern above) with double stitches. And as decoration, use separately knitted elements (flowers, leaves) or stretch multi-colored ones satin ribbons. With a little imagination, you can get original models.

Sirloin crochet: patterns for long products

Bedspreads and tablecloths made using this technique are distinguished by their originality and originality. The fact is that fillet products are covered over a plain fabric to emphasize the pattern.

No need to look for complex circuits or technologies. You can take as a basis a pattern with roses or a flower from a jacket and create a tablecloth through numerous repetitions. Tie the edges with flounces, as described in the pattern of the napkin with the girl.

Here it is worth paying attention to two ways to create tablecloths. IN simple version The product is knitted along the length or width. That is, cast on a chain of loops and move on to the fillet pattern.

But there is another way to do crochet. Fillet patterns (patterns) start from the middle. That is, a square is knitted (for example, with a side of 4 loops). Next, knitting goes in a circle with increasing squares, while one of the sides of the figure is a double crochet. For beginners, it is better to master the first method of creating a mesh.

Dress: fillet crochet

The schemes can be very diverse, but they are not suitable for everyone. Slender girls can knit such a dress without lining, emphasizing their shape. For plump ladies, it is better to hem the petticoat and bodice. As a rule, in the area of the chest and hips a tight pattern or regular single crochet is knitted.

All the rules for knitting clothes remain the same for the fillet pattern.

  • Knit a pattern with a pattern.
  • Measure the parameters.
  • Wash and dry the sample. This is very important point, since the fillet mesh can stretch out and the dress will lose its presentation.
  • You measure and compare data.
  • Make a full-length pattern taking into account the measurements.
  • Knit according to patterns.
  • Connect all the parts at the seams.
  • Tie the edges of the dress (bottom, sleeves, neck).

As you can see, the difficulty lies in preparatory work with threads, and the process of creating a dress does not take much time. This is the advantage of mesh (meaning loin knitting of a vest, skirt or other clothing model requires making full-length patterns. This is necessary so that the mesh does not stretch out when washing the product. Or combine the loin pattern with other dense patterns.

Brief summary

The fillet pattern, despite its simplicity, can be quite capricious for beginners. The product may not hold the shape of squares, which is possible due to weak knitting density, incorrect selection of threads, hooks, and number of yarn overs. It’s better to practice on small napkins or knit ten-centimeter samples before work.

To create the shape, craftswomen use a double mesh. This is also fillet crochet. Patterns for tablecloths, bedspreads, and clothes in this case involve alternating two double crochets and two chain stitches. Due to the double columns, the product is less translucent and holds its shape well. This tip will allow beginners to create neat handmade items in a short period of time.

Good afternoon - today I am uploading an article in which I will show in detail and tell you what beauty you can make with your own hands using fillet crochet. Especially FOR BEGINNERS I'll show you in pictures rules and techniques of knitting additional squares needed for figured knitting of fillet napkins and blouses. That is, this article will not only LOTS OF DIAGRAMS... but also clear lessons with descriptions and photo ideas for your creativity. And all this is free.

These are the questions I combined it into one article.

  • Examples use of loin knitting in room decor (napkins, tablecloths, curtains, curtains, borders, pillows).
  • Examples of using fillet knitting in creating T-shirts, tunics, skirts, jackets and shirts(I’ll even show you with a specific example exactly how to create a fillet piece for a T-shirt or shirt without a pattern).
  • RECTANGULAR Schemes fillet knitting (where you don’t need to be able to add and subtract edge cells). I will give small diagrams for beginners (to practice the fillet technique) and large circuits for creating fillet pictures.
  • FIGURE Lessons fillet knitting for beginners(I’ll show you how to decrease and add squares to get curly contours of a napkin or tablecloth).
  • A few descriptions of how to use SMALL loin knitting in creating large tablecloth for table.
  • Lots of schemes figured napkins with fillet patterns - and for the NEW YEAR.... and HEART patterns for Valentine's Day... and fillet paintings for the kitchen in the form of a cup of coffee. So, let's get started....))

Crochet FILLET PATTERNS for interior decoration.
(napkins, tablecloths, curtains, paintings, pillows)

Most beautiful patterns crocheted on napkins made using the fillet mesh technique. It is thanks to fillet knitting that roses, poppies and oak leaves with acorns can bloom on napkins.

You can make it on fillet napkins fabric inserts. Like, for example, in the bottom photo, where we see textile squares in the center of rectangular villian knitting segments.

A fillet napkin or tablecloth looks beautiful against the backdrop of bright textiles in rich shades. As in the photo below.

Using the fillet knitting technique, you can knit a border for a tablecloth... and even an edging terry towel(first photo below). Decorative openwork curtains in the kitchen can be made in the form of a sirloin pattern. Curtains can be made in the form of a patterned fillet mesh. The curtain fabric is starched and holds its shape and pattern well.

Fillet knitting can serve as a mat for photographs or paintings. Fillet paintings can also appear on your pillows... roses, ships, birds, cats and whatever your heart desires.

You can make a set of fillet napkins for breakfast - on a tray, napkins as coasters for hot mugs.

You can use fillet mesh elements to make a curtain for a window... or a curtain for a doorway.

BUT LOINT KNITTING is not only about napkins and pillows...

Having mastered the technique of this quick knitting, you will be able to create fashionable unique wardrobe items for yourself.

Possible using fillet knitting technique knit a T-shirtit's simple.

You need to get a pattern. To do this, you need to take your regular T-shirt. Place it on a piece of wallpaper and trace it with a pencil (fold it in half vertically) so that the right silhouette of the T-shirt matches the left. If there is no mirror match, then cut off one side of the T-shirt pattern(Whichever looks better, left or right, leave that one). And then from this silhouette, fold a whole pattern - tracing it 2 times (usually and mirrored) on a new piece of wallpaper. And get a one-piece T-shirt pattern.

What else is needed? start knitting - from bottom to top. Select the number of squares of the fillet pattern so that the length of the row coincides with the bottom of the T-shirt pattern. And then knit a fillet pattern - repeating the outlines of the pattern - then adding squares in a row... then subtracting them (when you reach the waist, or the armhole line).

Or you can save an old blouse with a stain. Cut off the sleeves from the shirt... rip them apart (and you will get a ready-made pattern for the future sleeve for fillet knitting). And in the same way, cut off the shirt flaps (front halves) - and you will get a front pattern. And then knit the fillet fabric - either decreasing or adding the number of cells in a row– so that the contours of your knitting fabric followed the contours of the silhouette of your shirt detail (back or front front).

GENERAL PRINCIPLE

for fillet knitting RECTANGULAR pattern.

(curly patterns will be discussed below).

All these beautiful loin items are knitted according to the same principle. Empty cell + filled cell alternate - and a mosaic pattern is obtained.

For one empty cell– knit 1 double crochet and 2 double crochets.

For a filled cell– knit 3 double crochets

Start each row with 4 lifting air loops (instead of the first column of the new row).

Finish each row one double crochet into the chain stitches of the previous row.

HOW TO START THE FIRST ROW OF LOINT KNITTING.

THE SIMPLE FILLET PATTERNS

FOR BEGINNERS.

If you have never created a fillet pattern, then to gain courage it is better to start with small schemes. With straight square or rectangular knitting fabric. Take and knit a mini napkin. For example, knit a white house like this... and sew it on black fabric... it will become the background. And all this can be placed under a frame and hung on the wall like a small picture - or decorated with it gift wrapping. Get New Year's gift with such packaging decor it’s very nice...

BUT SUCH A NAPKIN WILL LOOK BEAUTIFUL WITH WHITE THREADS ON THE BACKGROUND OF COFFEE FABRIC. They also tied it up - they put the fabric behind it and put it in a frame on the kitchen wall...

You can make a whole series of such pictures for the kitchen... I found cross stitch patterns... If you remove the black fillings of the mugs from the patterns... and leave empty cells instead.
Then we will get beautiful contours of coffee utensils that can be knitted using the fillet technique. (As you understand, two-color embroidery patterns are SUITABLE AS LOINT KNITTING PATTERNS).

The subject of your pictures can be anything. – and you can use them later. For example, if you simply insert a stitch in the center of a white piece of fabric, you will get a tablecloth with a fillet insert in the middle.

And small elements of fillet knitting can then be used to create patchwork tablecloth to the kitchen. Or sew a loin piece of knitting to your sofa cushion.

As you can see...even small ones trial patterns according to small schemes can get long life in your interior.

Therefore, train on small schemes and train your hand and patience for major feats of fillet knitting.

And if you have chosen to knit round shape napkins - then you need to know how to decrease and increase the number of cells along the edges of the row ( so that the canvas is rounded). I will talk about this in detail in this same article - just below.

And then, when you get the hang of it and realize that the fillet mesh fabric is created very quickly(grows before your eyes) you will want to knit something larger. And for this I found these beautiful schemes for soothing fillet knitting. With a theme that everyone likes. What could be more peaceful than a cat on the window?

It’s really great to knit such a picture yourself and place it in a frame, placing a bright contrasting fabric of a matte, non-shiny color under the reverse side.

Straight pattern of fillet napkin with roses.

Here, especially for flower lovers, I give a DIRECT diagram of a fillet napkin. Here you don’t need to add cells along the edges - just take them in a straight line, alternating empty and filled cells.

You can also TIE a straight napkin with LACE - any openwork pattern crochet Here is an example of such a napkin with a lace border in the photo below.

How to EDGE
square fillet napkins.
Border patterns.

The knitted fillet napkin has a sloppy appearance at the edges. Therefore, it must be bordered - crocheted around the perimeter - that is, on all sides of the rectangle.

Where can I get diagrams for such a BINDING BORDER?

It's very simple. Look on the Internet for diagrams of square napkins - and in them, select rows along the edge of the napkin. That is, as if you mentally erase the filling of the napkin - and leave only the edge rows of the diagram.

Below I found square napkins - I erased the inside of them and I was left with diagrams of only the edge parts of the napkin. These pieces can be used as ready-made diagrams for tying your square loin flaps.

The angle of such a harness maybe with a hole-arch made of air loops or filled with a fan of columns.

In the diagram below there is an arch of three airs in the first row at the corner. And in the second row, columns are knitted into this arch.

You can do it like this... you decide for yourself how best to turn the corner

You can make a lush border - in a hole from the arches of air loops

You can take a more complex pattern of square corner trim - from any square napkin pattern.

Here's a square napkin - ANY ROW OF IT - can become a pattern for your border. Cut it out - trace it with a felt-tip pen so as not to get lost and work. Or find any other square pattern.

HOW TO ROUND CORRECTLY

loin knitted fabric
(rules for decreasing and adding cells in a row).

And now it's time to figure it out how to crochet FIGURE shapes from fillet mesh. That is, I will tell you in detail how to add cells in the rows... and how to subtract them.

After all, to create a curly(for example, oval) napkins are needed constantly then add cells in a row - along the edges, so that the canvas expands into a circle... then reduce the cells, so that the canvas narrows to the top of the circle.

How to add ONE EMPTY CELL - with right edge knitting.

How to add TWO EMPTY CELLS - with right edge knitting.

How to add an EMPTY CELL - with left edge knitting.

How to add ANOTHER empty cell next to the empty one added.

How to add a FILLED square FROM THE EDGE in a new row to the RIGHT.

How to add a FILLED square FROM THE EDGE in a new row on the LEFT.

and if in the next row you need to add another full edge cell, then the principle is the same.

HOW TO REMOVE a cell from the edge (when the number of cells in a row decreases)

FIGURED CELLS (in the shape of the letter M).
Sometimes in fillet diagrams there are figured cells... they are drawn on the diagram in the form of a figure similar to the letter M...
They knit like this.

The diagram below, in the central part, contains these very M-shaped elements of the fillet pattern. That is, these are elements that violate the even squares of the grid. To set another background color.

And in this pattern with violins– also in the central part there is this pattern in the form of the letter M... By the way, the diagram below, with violins, is HALF of the pattern – on the left the pattern is mirrored. That is, it is entirely SQUARE - and it turns out that 4 violins meet in the center of the square with their pegs.

And now - when you have seen and understood the whole principle of decreasing and adding cells in a fillet pattern (both empty and filled) - you can knit oval fillet napkins... and round ones... and in the shape of a heart (and even in the shape of a teapot).

And now I’m posting you new FIGURE patterns with fillet meshes.

Patterns for napkins with a crochet fillet pattern.

DIAGRAMS for fillet napkins with UNEVEN edges.

I am posting here diagrams with roses. Since roses are the most popular theme of patterns that you want to knit on a napkin or tablecloth.

The uneven edge of the napkins is obtained by adding and subtracting squares along the edges of the knitting. Exactly as I showed in the pictures just above in this article.

Scheme RIGHT oval napkin.

Such an even oval napkin can then be tied IN A CIRCLE with any openwork knitting crochet This needs to be done so that its edges do not look so lonely - and the napkin has a complete look. You can even make a simple binding - with double crochets - so that the edge has a tight border.

The diagram of the fillet set is made from an oval and round napkin.

Here in this loin grid pattern There is interesting point . If you look, you will see that the roses are darker in the diagram. That is, the scheme consists of TWO TYPES of filling the cells with columns.... Just filled in squares (three double crochets)… and volume-filled cells(column + two crossed columns + column).

This way we get a VOLUMEROUS rose that stands out in relief on the canvas of our fillet napkin.

Crochet fillet patterns

for Valentine's Day.

For Valentine's Day you can do fillet patterns in the shape of a heart. It can be placed in a frame against a background of bright fabric. Or sew it to a pillow. Or process the edges of such a fillet heart with a crocheted lace to get napkin on the table. These knitted valentine napkins can be given to friends. This is a gift that is easy and quick to crochet with your own hands.

LOINT KNITTING inside the tablecloth.

Or this long pattern can be used as insert into the body of the tablecloth on the festive table.

As you can see, everything is simple here - we take any long pattern - We measure the size of the table and the size of the future tablecloth. We buy fabric - calculate WHAT SQUARE of the tablecloth we will leave in the center - and what width of the fillet pattern we want... And we work.

We knit a pattern and constantly apply it to the central square of the tablecloth– so as not to get carried away and not to bandage it too much. Here it is important to think about exactly how the pattern will be ROTATED ON A CORNER = you need to come up with a corner combination of patterns coming from both sides. Can first knit without corners- just long drawings of all 4 sides of the tablecloth - and then think about what pattern to connect them together (draw a knitting of a corner square and knit it).

And by the way It is not necessary to use a pattern with a STRAIGHT, Smooth EDGE for the inner insert into the tablecloth...
You can also fit a figured jagged strip perfectly inside the tablecloth. For example, like in the photo below.
