It is better to start preventing foot diseases with early age when its position can be easily adjusted.

What way out can be found?

A good solution for those who are concerned about the health of their feet is a massage mat. Its main task is to massage the foot, improve blood supply to the body, develop muscles and joints, coordination of movements, allow the legs to rest, and also - which is especially important for young children - to correctly form the arch of the foot. How to make a rug yourself?

In our group, we tried to do everything necessary for regular foot massage and hardening of our students . With the active help and support of caring parents, massage mats were made. Bathroom mats and oilcloth were used as the basis for the path. As elements for massage - plastic covers, buttons, beads, used felt-tip pens.

The thing that's done with my own hands, is more useful, since love, positive energy and mother’s care are invested in its production. What could be more valuable than this? In addition, a hand-sewn massage track is more functional. After all, every mother, as a rule, tries to add as many additional elements as possible for the development of her child.

How to exercise with a mat ?

After a nap, we lay out massage mats. It is better to conduct classes in a playful way. We invite children to imagine a fairytale road and figure out where it can lead, what obstacles need to be overcome (mountains, rivers, etc.). Children imagine themselves as some kind of animals and move according to this - jumping, walking on their heels, on their toes . We give complete freedom children's fantasy. The floor surface will be a swamp, and the elements of the rug will be bumpy. It’s interesting for a “bunny” or “frog” to jump on them. It’s easy to feel like you’re on the seashore, in a meadow full of wildflowers.

To create motivation and increase interest in physical activity and preventive exercises, the author’s non-standard equipment was manufactured, which contributes to: general strengthening of the body, maintaining psychomotor development at the age level; prevention of poor posture; correction of existing foot deformities; strengthening the muscles that form the arch of the foot; formation and consolidation of the skill of correct walking. Exercises with non-standard equipment help improve balance and motor control, form correct posture, and strengthen the muscles of the arch of the foot.

Basic principles of using massage mats and paths:
The equipment is used during gymnastics after sleep and in independent motor activities, taking into account the individual capabilities of children and their level of physical fitness.
Perform exercises from simple to complex, add new movements. Useful to use breathing exercises to relax muscles.

Shifting from foot to foot:standing, take a comfortable, stable position for your feet. Shift the weight of your body from one foot to the other. Concentrate on feeling the relief of the surface of the mat. Support - on different parts of the foot(heel, outer part, toes). 1-2 minutes

Circular displacement of the support:standing, feet shoulder-width apart. Slow rotation of the pelvis clockwise, then counterclockwise, with a shift of support - the toe of the left foot - the outer rib of the left foot - the heel of the left foot - the heel of the right foot - the outer rib of the right foot - the toe of the right foot. 1-3 minutes

Rolling: standing, rising on your toes - lowering to your heels. The amplitude of movements (lifting height) gradually increases. The same - one leg in front, the other behind at an angle of 30 degrees. 1-3 minutes

"Caterpillar": standing, if difficult - sitting. Support on one leg. Bend the toes of the other leg and pull it forward. Change legs. Repeat 10-20 times.

One of the main tasks of the Federal State Educational Standard for Educational Education is the protection and strengthening physical health children.
“The Path of Health” is a good assistant in health work (hardening, prevention and correction of flat feet).
In the warm season, such paths can be organized not only in a group room, but also on a walking area. Everyone knows that there are many active points on the feet; by stimulating them, we have a positive effect on the processes occurring in the body of children.
When walking barefoot along the “Health Path”, wellness massage stop: blood circulation improves, immunity increases, fatigue decreases, muscles, ligaments, joints become stronger. This tones the entire body. This healing massage should be done every day. And for this it is necessary to captivate children, interest them, and surprise them.
This is what happened at our site.
The “health path” is made in the shape of a flower. To make it we needed plastic bottles. Moreover, the bottles were brought by children. Together with the guys, we cut them in half and painted them in different colors. The lower part of the bottles was needed to decorate the petals, the upper part to lay out the middle, in which we planted soft lawn grass. When organizing the “Health Track”, the principle of rotation was used various types surfaces for influencing all biologically active points of the feet: sand, flat stones, sand, colored lids, sand, wooden blocks.

The next year, the guys and I made another “Health Track”.
We cut out traces on a roll of linoleum the guys brought, which was left over after a home renovation. Then they were covered with river sand, and, alternating, laid them out in different waste material: sand, plastic caps, sand, marker caps, sand, pebbles and bottle caps. We decorated our path with flowers cut out of linoleum.
To lay out the path, you can also use: small cones, used felt-tip pens, wooden cuts, acorns, chestnuts, small objects, capsules from Kinder surprises, etc. Moreover, all these materials can be brought by children from home and thereby take a direct part in the production of the “Health Track”.

To do this, in our group we use non-standard physical education equipment made by ourselves, because new sports equipment is always an additional incentive to activate physical education and health work.
