Buy cleaning products for the home. Natural and most effective household cleaning products

When cleaning the house, we all use household chemicals. It is inexpensive and perfectly removes dirt.

But few people think that cleaning products are unsafe and we pay for a clean apartment with our health.

Before you buy a home cleaner, you need to read the label.

You definitely need to know how harmful components affect our health. Today I will introduce you, dear readers, to safe detergents and cleaning products.

Harmful cleaners and detergents

1) Chlorine and its compounds can cause:

  • heart disease;
  • anemia;
  • increased blood pressure;
  • allergies;
  • asthma.

Negatively affects hair, nails, skin. Most chlorine is found in bleaching products. Maybe you should think about what is more important to you: health or cleanliness of linen?

2) Phosphates and phosphonates soften water in washing powders.

They provoke:

  • allergies;
  • destruction of the respiratory tract;
  • increased frequency of asthma attacks.

Manufacturers who care about the health of consumers replace phosphates with zeolites and polycarboxylates.

  • anionic;
  • cationic;
  • nonionic.

The most harmful and dangerous are anionic (A-Pav). They dramatically undermine the immune system, promote allergies, and lead to damage to the brain, liver, kidneys, and lungs.

4) Formaldehyde.

5) hydrochloric acid.

Organic detergents and cleaning products

Organic cleaners replace harmful household chemicals. A product is considered organic if it contains 70% natural ingredients.
It must undergo strict control and receive an environmental certificate, as evidenced by a holographic icon on the can.

Safe cleaning and detergents are made on the basis of beneficial bacteria and enzymes; their composition may also include alkalis, essential oils, and pure water.

Each manufacturer has its own individual formula.

Detergents even contain components that care for our hands: oils, extracts. When using such products, you do not need to wear household gloves.

All organic hygiene products must be diluted with warm water, following the indicated dosage.

Effect of organic detergents and cleaning products

How do probiotic cleansers work? As well as in fermented milk products, do not allow pathogenic flora to multiply. Cleansers create an invisible film.

Live probiotics live up to 8 days, how can they survive in products with a shelf life of more than a year? The fact is that they enter the jar in the form of spores, the germs of bacteria that serve to support life in critical conditions.

Thus, they remain viable when dried and frozen, but they die when heated to 120 degrees.

Probiotics in the spore state survive well both during transportation and storage. Therefore, you need to dilute the cleaning product with water at a temperature no higher than 40 degrees and store the diluted solution for no more than a week.

Enzymes are non-toxic substances, they are used to make medicines, food and in modern biopowders.

Typically a combination of protease, amylase, lipase is used.

Protease is an enzyme that is good at removing blood, sweat, eggs, that is, protein stains.

Amylase removes contaminants from potatoes, chocolate, dairy foods, starch, and baby food.

Lipase removes greasy stains.

Cellulase is another component used, it refreshes fabric, softens water, and improves the quality of washing.

Organic products are universal and remove any contaminants: fat, oil, berries, lipstick, even chewing gum.

Cheap and effective detergents and cleaning products

Always remember your grandmother's cheap and effective detergents and cleaning products.

Baking soda is a cheap and most importantly safe means for cleaning dishes, sinks, refrigerators, and tiles.
Lemon juice removes rust from dishes, aluminum, porcelain; it is good to use for washing windows.

Vinegar removes wax stains, resins, disinfects, gets rid of scale, cleans tiles and glass.

Ordinary soapy water removes grease well.

It's better if you make safe cleaning products yourself.

1) Sew a small bag from a rag and place the soap there; a convenient self-soaping dishcloth is ready.

2) DIY washing gel:

  • hot water - 0.5 l;
  • household soap - 25 gr;
  • vodka - table. spoon;
  • glycerin - three tablespoons.

Grate the soap and add water, stir and let it cool. Then pour in vodka and glycerin. Pour the prepared mixture into a detergent bottle.

3) To clean the kitchen and bath from dirt, prepare a paste:

  • 100 grams of soap, preferably laundry soap;
  • cup hot water;
  • soda - half a pack;
  • a little essential oil, but not necessary, just for the smell.

Grate the soap, add water and beat for 15 minutes with a mixer. Then add soda. If you need a liquid mass, then pour in more water (two cups) and a pack of soda.

When you wash greasy pans, you can add mustard to the paste. Store the paste in a closed glass jar.

Harmless detergents and cleaning products

4) Safe washing gel.

  • household soap - 50 g;
  • one liter of water;
  • soda ash - 45 g;
  • essential oil.

Shake the grated soap thoroughly in boiling water. Then add soda, if the mass is thick add water. Add a drop of essential oil if desired.

For linen, take 2 tablespoons per 5 kg of linen.

5) Don’t forget about soda ash, you can pour it into the water when you wash the floor, clean the tiles, bathroom, sink, prevent scale, soften the water.

6) To remove mold, take:

  • a teaspoon of alcohol;
  • a few teaspoons of oil tea tree;
  • 0.5 liters of water.

Pour the resulting liquid into a spray bottle and spray onto the contaminated areas.

7) To clean the toilet, pour a glass of vinegar and throw in a handful of soda, let it foam, then clean.

Conclusion: try to make do with harmless detergents and cleaning products, because every housewife always has vinegar, mustard, soda, and laundry soap on hand.

Best regards, Olga

Hello my dear! Nowadays, it has become popular to use products with the prefix “BIO” or “ECO” in everyday life. Essentially, these letters mean that the product we buy is biologically and environmentally friendly. Even the most unenlightened person will prefer them instead of chemistry. But when choosing products for the home, we rarely read the composition of the product, hoping for beautiful inscriptions on the package. This is our naivety. For those who read the article to the end, recipes for natural cleaning and detergents that you can make with your own hands await you.

I only recently became interested in natural cleaning products and detergents. But that didn't stop me from learning a lot useful information about what products can be considered BIO and ECO. Everything would be fine if it weren’t for the huge prices for safe detergents and cleaning products good quality. To be honest, I wouldn’t have enough money to spend such amounts, even for my health. Then a question came to me: how did people wash, wash, wash before? After all, all the variety that reigns on our shelves was not there. In fact, the mind modern man so clouded by the beautiful promises of manufacturers about magical properties their goods, that we do not see the obvious and most ordinary things. And so in order...

Composition of household chemicals: what is it?

I will list you the most common components of household chemicals that poison our lives.

  • Chlorine. Who doesn't know him? Kills bacteria, disinfects, removes stubborn stains... How beautiful everything is. But no one writes on the packaging that this substance is pure poison. As a result, anemia, diseases of the cardiovascular system, hypertension, atherosclerosis, cancer! Not enough for you? Go ahead.
  • Phosphonates and phosphates are included in washing powders. They affect the respiratory and immune system. There should not be more than 5 percent of them in detergents. In countries where this poison is prohibited, less harmful zeolites and polycarboxylates are added to the powders. The tongue can be broken.
  • POWDERS– surfactants. It's just a bomb for our body. They affect absolutely everything: the liver, kidneys, brain, accumulate in the human body and destroy us from the inside. By the way, they are very poorly washed off from surfaces, be it clothes or dishes.

Other substances that shorten our lives and are part of household chemicals:

  • sodium hypochlorite (it is designated on packages as sodium hypochlorite, acts as a bleach)
  • phenols and cresols (antibacterial substances)
  • formaldehyde (carcinogen)
  • flavors, fragrances, dyes also contribute to our health, although not so aggressively

Natural and safe DIY cleaning products

I do not deny that it is impossible to completely eliminate the use of household chemicals, but you can limit it. Follow a few rules and your body will thank you:

  • read the ingredients on the labels, choose the safest washing and cleaning products
  • give up chlorine completely; it can be successfully replaced with products containing fruit acids
  • if your budget allows, buy real environmentally friendly and biologically friendly products that do not contain the above chemicals
  • use household chemicals as little as possible
  • make natural detergents and cleaning products with your own hands.

Safe detergents for home you can make it yourself from ordinary products. We will need:

  • soda ash
  • baking soda
  • vinegar
  • citric acid (lemon juice)
  • mustard powder
  • laundry soap
  • sunflower oil
  • ground coffee (can be used)
  • essential oils

DIY dishwashing liquid

To prepare it, take a piece of quality laundry soap. I usually do this: I soap the sponge as a prank, and wash the dishes with it as usual. At the same time, foam is formed, and dirt and grease are washed off no worse than “Fairy”. If you need to wipe off burnt grease or plaque, then simple soda will come to the rescue. For aroma, you can add a few drops or lemon to it. Just remember to pour the soda into a separate jar with a tight-fitting lid so that the esters do not evaporate.

How to clean your sink using natural products?

If you often brew ground coffee, then under no circumstances throw away the leftovers. They can be successfully used to clean sinks and mugs from plaque. To do this, pour some coffee into the sink, rub the sponge with soap and scrub.

If you are afraid of scratching the surface, you can use mustard powder and baking soda instead. They will clean the surface more delicately, but no less effectively.

DIY product for stoves and ovens

As everyone probably knows, these places are the most difficult to clean and wash. Stores sell a huge number of bubbles that instantly cleanse burnt food and dirt. Indeed, they are very effective, but no less harmful, like all household chemicals.

If you use only industrial products, then do not be lazy and wipe the entire surface a hundred times after washing the tile or oven. Thus, you leave a minimum of substance residues on the surface, which evaporate when heated and literally poison us.

Well, so that natural means To clean the oven, you will need baking soda, soap, a hard sponge and a steel wool. Combine the soap solution with yourself and wipe the entire surface to be cleaned, leave to soak for a while, then scrub thoroughly with a sponge and rinse with water.

Lately, in order to pollute the oven less, I use foil and baking paper. They perfectly protect it from splashes and prevent fat and juices from burning on the baking sheet.

DIY window cleaner

Well, this tool is easy to do. It will cost you pennies. Just mix clean water with vinegar in a ratio (5:1). I take 70 percent vinegar essence. I pour the solution into a spray bottle and wash the windows in the usual way. After this, they shine, and there is not an ounce of dust or dirt on them.

Toilet Disinfectant

You are unlikely to get rid of rusty and limescale deposits using this recipe, but you can kill all germs and disinfect the toilet rim and around it with a simple homemade product. Mix vinegar (4 tablespoons of essence), water (one glass) and (5 drops). Pour the solution into an empty spray bottle and use as directed. You can also prepare a similar product with hydrogen peroxide. Read more about this.

DIY washing gel

This was, frankly, a revelation for me. To make it, rub 50 grams of laundry soap (it is important that it is natural, without unnecessary and unnecessary additives), add one liter of water and put it on low heat. Dissolve soda ash in half a glass of water. When the soap has dissolved (in no case should it be brought to a boil), add the soda solution. Mix everything thoroughly and leave to cool. For washing in washing machine we need 200-220 grams of gel, give or take, it all depends on the model. It perfectly washes and bleaches linen and cotton, but is not suitable for silk and woolen fabrics.

A few more tips for replacing household chemicals with natural products:

  • Natural detergent for cleaning floors. Add a little laundry soap and 4 drops of tea tree to the water. This essential oil also fights mold.
  • Air freshener You can do this by adding a few drops of your favorite essential oil to a spray bottle of water.
  • Polish the furniture You can use sunflower oil and lemon juice (citric acid).
