Each of us gravitates towards a certain style. This is determined by many conditions and reasons. I am no exception, and my beloved casual style(Casual) - a style of everyday clothing in which the main emphasis is on convenience and practicality. Therefore, cardigans have become my favorite models in my wardrobe; they are easy to combine with trousers, jeans and skirts; they are voluminous, do not restrict movement, are light and warm, ideal for hiking and everyday occasions. But I still try to be different, and lately I’ve been buying dresses and, of course, knitting too.

This time I decided to combine my favorite casual and femininity. Feminine models in this style are no exception. Therefore, it was decided to knit an A-line dress to the knees.

As a basis I took the patterns purchased dress which I wear with a long vest:
I took measurements from the dress, which consists:
* from a high yoke under the bust
* wide canvas, which is gathered into a small gather along the back
* the back of the dress is longer than the front.

The small gathers along the back were simply replaced with an expanding fabric, like the front. The task in selecting a pattern for a dress was to have a minimum number of items. loops Despite the fact that the yarn is quite thin (500 m per 100g), knowing from the experience of crocheting from such yarn, fairly large air loops are obtained, and 4-5 loops form a large openwork.

Everything served one idea: the dress is warm, minimal lace, emphasis on the silhouette.
There was an option to simply knit with double crochets, using very small patterns, in the form of stripes along the bottom of the product.

But my love for the spider design won out.
Yoke: First, the yoke is knitted from the bottom up. Having reached the armholes, we knit the back and front separately. A “spider” pattern in the form of a triangular insert is knitted along the front of the product. Sew the shoulders. You can even try on a yoke.

Bottom of canvas: Then we continue to knit in the round, making even increments. At the bottom of the dress, the “spider” pattern is located in such a way that it creates the same angle as on the yokes, directed upward. Here in the photo you can see a little how the drawing is located. (I'll try to take a photo with a gray background). Set-in sleeve, with an okat.
Along the edge of the sleeve There is also a spider pattern, repeating the dynamics of the yoke and bottom pattern, with a triangular wedge upward.

Remember I mentioned that the dress was designed to reach the knees, or in the middle of the knee. I know that under the weight of water, the thread in the columns seems to straighten, so I tirelessly wet it in the evening and squeeze it through a towel, dry it and continue knitting. This time I got carried away on a day off and when the product underwent WTO, it lengthened by 10-15 cm. If there was another yarn, I would have unraveled it. Unraveling crocheted mohair is simply a Herculean task, almost impossible. Solutions it was: cut off under the yoke the extra length and tie it to it again.
But after trying it on with the belt, I left it at this length. You can wear both without a belt and with a belt. Knit to the knee, you can use another dress.

Wear a dress possible in monochrome, adding one bright touch: shoes and decoration. Photo after work at a friend's yarn store. No matter how much my dear friends would like to see bright clothes in winter, especially for work, I immediately answer and reassure: there are bright outfits for the cold period, but not for work. To the office, I most often wear office clothes, and as an exception, sometimes knitted ones, but only in dark colors; and wait for summer, there will be colors.

Can add brightness, including tights to match the boots. An even more straightforward solution is to add the same color under the bottom of the dress (photo taken to show the design). This option also exists, but divides with your spots into 3 parts: legs, hem and upper body.

One of my favorites monochrome options with gray(and with a white - I’ve already shown a similar black and white version)) shirt. If you look at the photo without and with her, the shirt gives the dress a certain severity, leveling out femininity. This option is also for work, so no large jewelry, just earrings. In this case, you can also wear the dress under a belt.
There are a lot of options with black, I guess you can imagine. I can’t imagine everything; my husband starts to get nervous when he sees me taking the camera.)

The dress is incredibly light, 300 grams, weightless, and warm. At the same time, at work, it is not hot. I liked the feeling of weightlessness of the dress so much that I almost rushed to knit myself another one from purple mohair.
