It is in this case, when no other reasons for the woman’s failure to become pregnant have been identified (the fallopian tubes are passable and the husband’s sperm is fine), ovulation is stimulated. The doctor prescribes a drug to a woman, which in the article is called “clomephene acetate” - apparently, so that women cannot find this drug on their own, or, in the case of clomiphene resistance, that is, if the woman is resistant to this drug (in other words, if the result is so and has not occurred), is prescribed more strong remedy- FSH, that is, this hormone in its pure form.

Treatment of anovulatory disease in women usually occurs as follows. First, the woman and her partner go through everything necessary examinations, which should show that it is the absence of ovulation that prevents the conception of a child. Next, the mildest stimulating drug Clomiphene citrate is prescribed from the fifth to the ninth days of the cycle (the first day of the cycle is the first day of menstruation). If three cycles do not bring results during pregnancy, then it is customary to talk about clomiphene resistance, that is, the woman’s resistance to the drug. Clomiphene citrate is not harmless medicine. It has many unpleasant side effects and contraindications.
