Volumetric five-pointed star made of paper instructions. How to make a star with your own hands from paper, fabric, bottles and other materials? From paper modules

Of all the paper ones reviewed earlier on the site Christmas decorations for the New Year 2016, this toy is the most complex; its production will not tolerate inaccuracy and sloppiness. But for such decoration, again, a minimum of materials will be required, you will need a simple office set - colored paper, glue stick, thread and scissors. You can also use a star to make a tip for the top of the tree; how to quickly and easily attach it is described below. To make the work easier, a workpiece is included.

How to make a five-pointed star with your own hands

1. Print the required number on the printer - halves of the future decoration. We select the size by scaling the drawing when printing. To print large stars, it is better to use thicker paper.

2. Cut out each half of the star along the contour.

3. We draw the blunt end of the scissors along all bending lines. If the paper is thin, do not use much force.

4. We bend each workpiece along the lines to form the volume of the star. The printer's print should remain in the inner volume of the star.

5. Glue the two halves together. It is necessary to glue carefully, precisely aligning the edges. The first decoration may not turn out very smooth, but experience comes in the process of work and the next ones will turn out better.

6. At the end, glue a loop of thread inside to hang the star on the Christmas tree.

Forming the volume

We cut out and glue the required number of toys and attach them to those already made. Making Christmas tree decorations develops fine motor skills and spatial imagination. By making such crafts with your own hands together with children, the work will bring not only pleasure, but also benefits for their development. Stimulating video below :)

You can use a paper star to make a top for your Christmas tree. Moreover, a star made of A3 paper can quickly and cheaply solve the problem of finding a tip on big Christmas tree. Below is a method for installing a topper on a table top tree. To do this, we will not construct a regular tip, but will do it simpler and use available materials. We will install the star on an empty ballpoint pen rod, and secure the rod itself using two wire twists from the cables, but thin ties and other available material will do. A larger top will require a knitting needle or pointer.

We will take our example from them!

As a rule, the older a person gets, the more nostalgic he begins to remember his childhood years. For many adults today, this time is permeated with Soviet symbols, among which red stars can be noted.

In this master class I will show several options on how to make a paper star with your own hands step by step photos. This five-pointed symbol may still be relevant today. For example, a red star is perfect as or for decoration New Year's interior. It is not difficult to make it from paper, focusing on the proposed master classes.

01. DIY voluminous paper star

To create a three-dimensional star, we will need to prepare:

  • red paper;
  • scissors;
  • pencil;
  • ruler;
  • PVA glue.

First, cut out 5 squares of the same size from red paper.

Our blanks have a side of 9 cm.

After this, you can begin to add each square. First we make a diagonal fold.

Then we unfold the square blank. Fold the right side towards the middle.

A similar fold should be made on the left side.

Now we need to make bends in the upper part of our workpiece. First we bend the right side.

After this, we make a fold on the left side. Our blank took the shape of a rhombus.

Fold it in half.

The top layer needs to be folded to the side.

In this case, you should pay attention to the fact that on the reverse side the vertex of the triangle coincides with the fold line.

Unfold the workpiece slightly.

Smooth the fold lines.

Now we begin to straighten one of the rays of the future star.

Carefully straighten its inner layer.

Now we give the workpiece the following appearance. We have an element consisting of one whole beam and a half.

We need to make 4 more such blanks.

You can start assembling the star, and for this you will need glue. Apply it to one half of the beam.

After that we insert one element into another.

So we connected 2 modules.

We glue the remaining elements together in a similar way. Our volumetric paper star is ready.

02. How to make a star using modular origami technique

Technique modular origami allows you to create three-dimensional figures using identical elements. Our master class presents the step-by-step production of a star from several modules.

To work you will need 10 square sheets of paper. We took red writing sheets.

We start by making one module. For it we need two sheets. First we bend them along two diagonals. Now these same sheets of paper should be bent in transverse directions, but in the other direction.

From one we fold the workpiece in the form of a double square.

From another sheet of paper with pre-designated folds, we fold the workpiece in the form of a double triangle.

Now we insert the triangle inside the square.

We bend the protruding ends from the square inward. First we do this from two opposite sides.

Then we unfold the module blank and bend the protruding corners again. This is how we got one of the modules.

We need to make 4 more such modules for the future star. Let's start connecting the modules. They will be attached to each other due to the corners protruding on the sides.

Two corners of one piece should be inserted under the folds of the other from the inside.

We insert the corners of the other module from the outside under the folds of the adjacent one.

So we continue to connect the individual modules.

We close all 5 elements into a ring.

You can leave the origami star as is, or you can slightly raise its upper part.

03. Volume star made of paper for a postcard

On a white sheet, draw a star stencil, as in the photo, and prepare a sheet of red cardboard.

Cut it out.

Bend the workpiece - all the short strips are bent inward, and the long strips are bent outward. Glue it to the base. This way you can do volumetric star for a postcard for February 23 or May 9.

How to make a five-pointed star out of paper video tutorial

IN modern world things made by with my own hands, including various crafts. One of these crafts is a star.

Using various materials and by reading master classes that explain how to make a star, you can create universal decorations for your home. They can be used for any occasion.

3D star

When thinking about what materials a star can be made from, most people opt for paper. This material is quite accessible and has a low cost.

Making a three-dimensional star with your own hands is especially popular, since it can be used not only as a decoration for the holidays, but also as one of the main attributes of the interior.

To create this kind of star, you will need the following materials:

  • multi-colored cardboard;
  • regular pencil;
  • scissors;
  • glue;
  • ribbon of any color.

Having prepared all these elements, you can begin to create a star:

Initially, two sheets of cardboard are taken, which are folded first vertically and then horizontally. Then the sheet is folded in half diagonally twice.

Using scissors, small cuts are made in the area of the folds placed perpendicularly. The cut should reach half the fold or be slightly smaller. In total, 4 cuts are made.

The edges of the sheet are bent where the cuts were made (you can see in more detail in the photo of the star craft).

Using glue, smear one side of each star ray. The sides are glued together.

The second half of the star is created following the previously presented plan. The two halves of the star are glued together and the decoration is considered ready.

Convex star

This craft is characterized by its small size and can be used both as a decorative element in the interior and as an addition to holiday cards.

The following materials are used to create this craft:

  • multi-colored paper (if you don’t have it, you can use pages from an unnecessary glossy magazine);
  • scissors (can be replaced with a stationery knife).

Strips are cut from paper. This moment needs to be taken Special attention, since the quality of the star directly depends on this. The strips must be even and reach a width of 9 millimeters and a length of 22.1 centimeters.

Take one strip and make a small loop from it.

The remaining tail of the strip is wrapped and then a knot is tied. Actions must be extremely careful, since the paper can be torn. The knot is carefully tightened, pressed, and the existing tail is hidden inside. As a result, a pentagon is formed.

Each side of the pentagon is wrapped with a length of strip. It is necessary to perform from twelve to fifteen wraps. This indicates that all edges must be wrapped at least twice. The unaffected tip is hidden inside the star.

The pentagon is held with one hand. At this moment, you need to press a little on the middle of the edge with the finger of your other hand. These actions are repeated with each face, resulting in a small star.

Craft from book pages

This version of the star will be a wonderful addition to decorations made for the New Year or Christmas.

To create this star you will need the following elements:

  • plastic three-dimensional star;
  • unnecessary book;
  • scissors;
  • glue.

Having prepared the material, you need to perform fairly simple steps:

  • ¼ of the book page is cut off and bags are created;
  • the bags are glued to a plastic star (more details can be seen in the photo);
  • Apply a small amount of glue to the edges of the bags, after which they are sprinkled with glitter.

Decoration for the New Year

Such a star will be an excellent decoration for every Christmas tree, both natural and artificial.

To make it you will need the following materials:

  • double-sided colored cardboard;
  • scissors;
  • adhesive.

After preparing the materials, you can start creating the star:

  • Eight squares are created, 4 different sizes. The ideal options would be the following sizes: 70, 110, 130 and 180 millimeters.
  • Each of the squares folds into a triangle with a tail (you can see in the photo).
  • Next, the squares are glued together according to size. Initially the largest, and then descending.

Such a star has emerged more than once the best craft at competitions on the theme “Handmade Star”.

Decorative star

Another option for a star that can take a place on the Christmas tree.

To make it you will need the following materials:

  • ready-made star template;
  • white cardboard;
  • felt green and red;
  • pencil;
  • glue gun;
  • cutter;
  • brown thread.

Having prepared these materials, you need to follow this plan:

  • Take cardboard and redraw the star from the template onto it. Then it is cut out.
  • Then another one is drawn inside the resulting star, but of smaller size.
  • The inner star is cut out.
  • A brown thread is attached to the remaining star using a glue gun, and the entire workpiece is covered with it.
  • Two small circles are cut out from red felt, and 2 sheets from green felt. Circles and leaves are glued to the top of the star.

Each of these crafts will be a wonderful home decoration.
