Tasks for children aged 7-8 years should be aimed at the comprehensive development of their psychological processes: memory, attention, perception, imagination and thinking.

An important task of developmental classes is also to prepare the child for complex subjects of the school curriculum (for example, mathematics, reading, etc.)

Children 7-8 years old enjoy engaging in intellectual games

Mind games

Junior school age - features

Goal: development of visual perception, enrichment of the child’s ideas about color

For this lesson you will need a set of gouache paints. pure colors(red, yellow, blue, green). It is also desirable that the set contains black and white colors.

Color guessing game

You need to select several colors and use a palette to mix them together. The child’s task is to determine what colors this or that shade is made of, and then to get exactly the same one. If several people take part in the game, you can ask them to alternately create different shades of the same color. At the age of 7-8 years, such children also develop visual sensitivity well.

"Noisy boxes"

Goal: development of auditory perception

For this lesson you need to prepare two sets of identical boxes of six pieces each. Each of the boxes has a certain filler - it can be sand, small stones, various cereals. They are capable of making a variety of noises - from the quietest to the loudest. The child’s task is to listen to the noise of the box from the first set and match it with a similar one from the other, comparing them and offering to find a similar one. At the end of the game, each of the boxes must have its own pair.

Noise boxes can also be jars

"Make a Word"

Goal: we develop the logic and literate thinking of children aged 7-8 years, as well as the skills of literal perception of words. Logical thinking is also the basis for preparing a child for subjects such as mathematics, computer science, etc.

Letters are written down on a piece of paper, from which the child will have to form a whole word. To do this, the scattered letters will need to be placed in the correct sequence.

Game Make a word from the given letters

For example:

  • h, a, c, a (vase);
  • s, a, p, o (dew);
  • k, o, r, y (lesson);

Goal: development of attention and counting skills. Expanding a child’s understanding of the alphabet

The child consistently names the letters of the alphabet and the numbers corresponding to them (for example, A1, B2, B3, G4, etc.). Classes for children of primary school age 7-8 years of this type can also be complicated by consistently calling only even and then only odd numbers. This will allow children to prepare for mental arithmetic— mathematics for 7-year-old children is one of the most difficult subjects.

Toy letters and numbers help with school learning

“Where are the toys hiding?”

Goal: development of space-time concepts

For the task, toys are placed around the room. The child’s task is to first find the hidden things, and then say where they are, indicating their location relative to other pieces of furniture and using the concepts “above”, “below”, “above”, “under”, “in”, “on”.

"Make a proposal"

Goal: development of forms of non-standard thinking

The child is offered sets of three words, from which he will need to make sentences. For children younger age can you suggest simple words; An older child may have completely unrelated concepts at his disposal for a task. This activates his thinking, forcing him to think outside the box.

Game Make a sentence with these words

"Tell me what you remember"

Goal: development of memory, attention

The child receives a picture that shows a large number of small items. The task is to remember all the objects within a certain time and after some time answer questions based on the pictures.

Cards for memorizing images need to be shown for several minutes

"Count the objects"

Purpose: assignments serve to prepare the child for mastering the exact sciences (such as mathematics, computer science, etc.)

The parent shows the child an image on which a large number of different objects are drawn. The child’s task is to remember them, and then say what exactly was depicted in the picture and in what quantity.

Peculiarities of memory of younger schoolchildren

Moral education of a primary school student

When caring for the intellectual development of a child, do not forget that moral development plays no less a role in his upbringing.

"The ABCs of Good Manners"

Goal: expanding the child’s ideas about good manners and moral qualities

The child is asked to remember all the “kind” words he knows, denoting positive human qualities, starting with a particular letter of the alphabet. For example, “A” is neat, “B” is cheerful, etc. After the entire alphabet has been worked out, the child can be asked to say these good words friends, relatives, etc. Or work out situations in which they can be used.

The game Good Manners is liked by all children

"Carousel"

Goal: developing a positive perception of others

The exercise is convenient to carry out in small groups of children. Participants stand in pairs opposite each other (if a small number of children are participating in the game, one can be brought forward). The task is to imagine the partner in the form of some object of art, to attribute unusual abilities or powers to him

Example: “If I painted you in a picture, you would be...”, “If I wrote you a song, it would be...”, “If you became a wizard, you would be...”.

Carousel game - for a group of children
  1. The development of a child at the age of 7-8 years is quite intensive. Therefore, it is very desirable that the tasks that are given to them affect not one specific function, but a whole complex (for example, attention and memory, thinking and perception). Thanks to this, even such difficult-to-understand subjects as mathematics, Russian, etc. will be much easier for the child.
  2. Since the child has not yet moved away from play as a leading activity, it is important to conduct classes in a relaxed environment that is as comfortable as possible for him.

Simple educational activities for children 7, 8, 9 years old that do not require special skills are very easy to do at home.

By organizing the child’s leisure time, they contribute in the best possible way to his comprehensive and comprehensive development. And school subjects - Russian language, reading, mathematics - will easily lend themselves to it in the future.

Target: develop creative imagination, attention, artistic abilities.

Equipment: Students have colored pencils.

Teacher.

Today we will visit Imagination. What country is it? This is what the poet Boris Zakhoder said about her.

In my Imagination

In my Imagination

They chat with us easily

Nasturtiums and lilies;

Shaggy lions can do it

Ride on a stick

And the marble statues

They will play tag with you.

Hooray, Imaginations,

My Imagination!

Anyone who wants it

Wings grow there;

And everyone must

Becomes a magician

If he were your age

Or my peer!..

In my Imagination

In my Imagination -

Fantasy reigns there

In all its omnipotence;

All dreams come true there

And our sorrows

Now they are turning

On funny adventures!

Into my Imagination

It's very easy to get in:

She's exceptional

Conveniently located!

And only the one who is completely

Unimaginative -

Alas, he doesn’t know how to log in

In her favor!..

You, of course, are not devoid of imagination - it’s not for nothing that we are constantly developing it, so I think it will not be difficult for you to get into the Imagination. We close our eyes... Throh-tibidoh-tibidoh! Now we are already in Imagination. Let's check if everything is here. Maybe someone got lost along the way?.. If everyone can complete the task, then no one got lost.

Imagine:

A cat that lazily licks itself...

A crackling fire in a field and the smell of smoke from it...

Bushes block the road, their branches hurt your face...

The kitchen smells like fried potatoes...

The wind fills the room with the smell of garden flowers...

You sit in a haystack and inhale its aroma...

You press yourself against the tree trunk, wrap your palms around it...

Tell us about your feelings. Which ones are the strongest?

Well, everyone has arrived! The warm-up went well. Let's walk through the streets, fields and forests of this small but amazing country.

In front of us is the central street of Imagination. There’s so much to see here!.. Come on, who can see more objects on this street and write them down in a notebook within two minutes?!

Children independently write down the objects they imagine: a store, a bench, asphalt, cars, a bus, a pedestrian, a post office, a cinema, etc. Check. Counting the number of words recorded. Identification of the winner.

And now from the noisy street we will go out of town - into the forest.

Well, who will see more objects in the forest this time?

Now let's walk through the field. There is no longer such diversity as on the street and in the forest. It will be all the more interesting to find out who is the most observant and will be able to examine even the most inconspicuous objects.

Similar work.

We have walked quite a long distance - we will sit down to rest. In the meantime, I’ll read you poems by the Japanese poet Basho. He succeeds in short texts To draw pictures of nature, in my opinion, is very expressive. Try to imagine them.

1. Old pond.

A frog jumped into the water.

A splash in silence.

2. Everything is spinning dragonfly:

Can't get a hold

For stalks of flexible grass.

3. White fungus in the forest.

Some unknown leaf

It stuck to his hat.

4. Two or three petals

They fell on top of each other:

A peony flies around.

Which poem did you like most? Why?

Moving in the opposite direction, that is, returning to the streets of Imagination, let’s look into someone’s garden along the way and be curious. And here is a nice little vegetable garden where children are swarming around, collecting crops. Tell us how you imagine this picture (the color of the fence, what is growing in the garden, how many children are there, boys or girls...).

What hardworking kids! What will they tell us?

We dug the garden ourselves in the spring,

We planted it ourselves, weeded it... And now -

Settled down - lay down

In a huge basket

And red

And yellow

Such a healthy, colorful people!

S. Pogorelovsky

Come on, try to write down as many vegetables of the named colors as possible!

Independent work. Examination.

As it turns out, no one knows about the milky-white vegetable. No problem! In Imagination it can be imagined. Draw some completely white vegetable. Think about what it can be called, what it tastes like, in what form it should be eaten...

Children draw. Examination.

When we name a word, we immediately imagine the color associated with this word. For example, the sky is blue, grass is green, milk is white, the sun is yellow... Now let's think about what color the following words could be: vacation, sadness, gift, toothache, luck, friendship, help, beauty, silence.

And here we are again on the same street. Here you can spend your free time with interest, for example... Let's play. Those who wish will come to the board and mime any actions showing how they spend time on the street. The rest will guess. Whoever guesses first takes the player's place.

Note. Weak students can be offered hint cards:

You look at store windows.

You sit on a bench and read a book.

You feed the pigeons in the square.

You go to the fountain, wet your hands in the water, and wash yourself.

OK it's all over Now. We say goodbye to Imagination until next time.

Games are a unique way for a child to get distracted, relax, and at the same time learn how to game form concentrate your attention and develop your thinking. Educational games can be regular games that need to be played offline, or they can be computer games that can be found online.

In any case, parents should supervise:

  1. That the game has clear and precise rules;
  2. The child alternated his play activity and didn't play one game too much or for too long.
  3. The game revealed the child's talents.
  4. Promoted goodwill.
  5. It had a bright picture.
  6. The game could be played, if desired, with peers and without the help of an adult.

For children 8-9 we have selected educational games. It will be like Online Games, as well as tasks that you can try to guess and solve together with your friends offline.

Children will find educational crossword puzzles very useful. Children eight to nine years old will be able to have fun answering simple but ambiguous questions on various topics that are given in the crossword puzzle.

A game in which you need to make a sentence out of words will also be entertaining. It will allow you to consolidate the skills acquired in your native language lessons and will perfectly develop your thinking. A similar game could be “Insert the word in the sentence”, where the child will need to put the missing word into the proposed version of the sentence.

Excellent didactic and educational games for children who are already in second grade are puzzles and pictures in which you need to find the differences. They perfectly develop visual memory and thinking, and children simply like them.

Mathematics and logic

Didactic tasks that involve mathematics are a way to entertain a child of eight or nine years old, but at the same time also strengthen his counting skills and develop his abilities in mathematics.

The simplest one might be a game where some animals or, for example, fruits are drawn in the picture, and a child of eight or nine years old will need to count them and write the number in a special window.

The educational and entertaining task will be a game in which you will need to arrange the proposed numbers in ascending order, and then in descending order. This game reinforces the concepts of more and less and trains thinking for eight- to nine-year-old children. A similar game could be a version of an educational and entertaining task where you need to count by tens in ascending and descending order.

An excellent counting task that definitely involves real mathematics would be a game in which eight- to nine-year-old children are asked to add and subtract some numbers. But the numbers will not be indicated by the usual boring numbers, but will look like the sum of stars, hearts or other figures. So a child of eight or nine years old will first need to count the figures, and only then complete the task. This will be educational mathematics that will be interesting and fun to do.

Educational game “For children 8 years old”

Games to develop logic for eight- to nine-year-old children are usually presented in the form of riddles. When children solve such a riddle and find the correct answer, they are usually completely delighted. The main thing is that such cognitive didactic tasks are selected exactly according to age and are not too difficult for children.

The seamstress has a roll of fabric 18 meters long. She cuts 2 meters from this piece every day. In how many days will she cut off the last piece?

“Look at this,” said Olya, “in this problem all even numbers are red.” “And all the even ones are black,” Zhanna added. What color is the number that is the sum of an even number and an odd number?

For boys

For boys, any educational exercises should be interesting and it is advisable that they be about their favorite characters. An example of such a task would be the task below.

Spider-Man fell asleep at two o'clock in the afternoon and woke up at three o'clock and fifteen minutes. How long did Spider-Man sleep?

Advice: For children at this age, it is very important that the exercises are not boring and fuel interest in development, entertainment and learning, so try to choose modern puzzles for your child, which involve characters familiar to them, and not abstract heroes.

But at the same time, ordinary funny exercises will be interesting for boys:

Compose and write words from the letters A, C, T, K, R, O, A in columns, in accordance with the number of letters in the word:
3 letters, 4 letters, 5 letters, 6 letters, 7 letters.

For girls

Informative- didactic games for girls should also be attractive and interesting. Children of primary school age are very interested in puzzles that involve their favorite fairy tale characters or favorite animals.

The little fairy had 6 stars. She gave one star to her older fairy sister Marcel, who also had her own stars. After that, the fairy sisters had an equal number of stars. Think about how many stars the fairy Marcel had from the very beginning?

Of course, you can use the most ordinary educational didactic games; they will also be interesting to children.

Group the following animals into groups: wild, domestic, farm.
Cow, tiger, cat, pig, hippopotamus, rooster, dog, guinea pig, wolf.

Game “Wild and Domestic Animals”

Entertaining tasks for children and their parents

This material may be of interest to educators of preparatory groups, teachers primary school, parents who are engaged in the formation of non-standard thinking in children. Problems available for older children preschool age, are interesting for schoolchildren and even adults.
Pochaeva Tatyana Anatolyevna, teacher-psychologist MBDOU " Kindergarten No. 2" Konakovo

Target: development of the child's abilities
Tasks:
- to interest the child in solving non-standard problems;
- develop imaginative and logical thinking;
- offer material for spending leisure time in the family.

Working with children, I always tried to develop creative, out-of-the-box thinking in them. Problems that require the ability to add or subtract numbers or count to one hundred are well suited for this purpose. Finding such tricky puzzles is half the battle; arousing children’s interest in solving them is a more difficult matter. It’s difficult because the classes are very strictly time regulated; they are not designed to solve non-standard problems. I still manage to do something, but I always want more.

In past academic year on parent meeting V preparatory group I suggested an option: at the end of the week, each child will receive an envelope with a task. This problem must be solved within a week and the answer sent to me in an envelope. This is a voluntary matter, if you want to participate, if you don’t want to, it’s your choice. Of course, everyone wanted to, but after two months there were fewer people willing, because often the parents (!) themselves did not understand how to solve this or that problem. And it's very sad. Only one girl reached the finish line, which was quite predictable.

So, the simplest problem that I offered to children in class was: “How to divide 3 apples lying in a basket between three girls so that each girl gets 1 apple, and one apple remains in the basket?” The children immediately begin to offer to cut 2 apples, but this does not correspond to the conditions of the task, which states that each girl should receive a whole apple. Then I pick up a basket with 3 apples and ask one of the children to fulfill the condition of the task - divide the apples. At this moment, insight occurs - we take one apple along with the basket!

1. Misha returned from fishing happy.
- How many fish did you catch? – his comrades asked.
- I will not say. But he ate both of them himself.
How many fish did Misha catch?
This is a very easy task, but when a child does not hear the usual numbers, he at first does not understand how to solve it.

2. Marina had 7 sweets. She gave 2 candies to her sister Katya, who also had candies. After this, the sisters had the same amount of candy. Think about how many sweets Katya had at first?
This is also one of the simpler problems, but in class 2-3 people can solve it right away, the rest do not have time to figure it out on their own.

3. How many squares do you need to take to cover a cube, gluing 1 square on each side?

4. 3 people waited for the train for 3 hours. How long did everyone wait?

5. Three fishermen eat three fish in three days. How many days will it take five fishermen to eat five fish?
Solution: If 3 fishermen eat 3 fish in 3 days, then 1 fisherman eats 1 fish in 3 days. Therefore, 5 fishermen will eat 5 fish in the same 3 days, and not in 5, as both children and adults often answer.

6. 2 hens laid 2 eggs in 2 days. How many eggs will 4 hens lay in 4 days?
Solution: 2 hens lay 2 eggs in 2 days, therefore 1 hen can lay 1 egg in 2 days. In 4 days, 1 chicken will lay 2 eggs, and 4 chickens will lay 8 eggs in 4 days.
Answer: 8 eggs.

7. One Winnie the Pooh eats 1 jar of honey in 1 hour. How many Winnie the Poohs can eat 5 jars of honey in 5 hours?
Solution: in 1 hour Vini eats 1 jar of honey, therefore in 2 hours he will eat 2 jars, in 3 - 3 jars, etc.
Answer: one Winnie the Pooh will eat 5 jars of honey in 5 hours.

8. Vanya lives in a 12-story building, on the 9th floor, if you count from above. What floor does Vanya live on?
Solution: If you ask a preschooler to solve this problem, it is best to ask him to draw a 12-story building and count the floors in reverse order. If the child is already in school, he can solve the problem in his head without relying on a drawing. It turns out that if you count from bottom to top, after the 9th floor there will be three more floors left: the tenth, eleventh, twelfth. If we count from top to bottom, then after the ninth floor, on which Vanya lives, there will still be three more left: the third, the second, the first. Therefore, Vanya lives on the 4th floor.

9. Forgetful and Confused bought several pairs of boots in a shoe store, and total number boots turned out to be a single digit number. When the gnomes returned home, Confusion began to divide the purchases. He did it so cunningly that at the end of the division he had 8 more boots than his friend. How many boots did the surprised Forgotten get?

Solution: To solve this problem, the child must know what the words “pair” and “single-digit number” mean. The dwarves could not buy 10 boots, because the number 10 is a two-digit number. They couldn't buy 9 boots because shoes are always sold in pairs. If they bought 8 boots, then all these boots went to Confusion, and Forgotten got nothing.

10. The pig weighs 2 kg and another half a pig. How much does a pig weigh?
Solution: The pig weighs 2 kg and another half a pig. We understand that the weight of two halves is equal to the weight of the pig; if one half weighs 2 kg, then the whole pig weighs 4 kg.

11. The elevator rises to the third floor in 6 seconds. How many seconds will it take him to reach the fifth floor?
Solution: in 6 seconds the elevator covers two flights - from the first to the second floor and from the second to the third. Therefore, the elevator travels one flight in 3 seconds. To get to the fifth floor, you need to drive 4 flights. This will take 12 seconds.

12. The confused girl goes to the cage with the tiger. Every time he takes 2 steps forward, the tiger roars and the dwarf takes 1 step back. How long will it take him to reach the cage if there are 7 steps to it, and Confused takes 1 step in 1 second?
Solution: When solving this problem, you should use a picture, from which it will be clear that moving 2 steps forward and 1 step back, Confusion spends 3 seconds to get 1 step closer to the cage with the tiger. But having approached 5 steps in 15 seconds, he takes the last steps in 2 seconds and ends up at the cage.
Answer: in 17 seconds, Confusion will reach the cage.

13. Once upon a time there lived the Serpent Gorynych. He was very picky about food. His right head didn't like fruit and couldn't stand cutlets. His left head couldn't handle the pear. For lunch they served pears, ice cream and cutlets. What will each Gorynych head choose for lunch?
Solution: the right head will choose ice cream, the left head will choose cutlets, the middle head, as the most picky head, will get pears.

14. Two wallets contain 4 coins, and one wallet contains twice as many coins as the other. How is this possible?
Solution: To make this happen, we put two coins in each wallet, and then put one in the other. It turns out that it now contains 4 coins, which is 2 times more than in the other wallet.

15. A small military detachment approached the river. The bridge is broken and the river is deep. What should I do? Suddenly the officer noticed two boys playing in a boat by the river. The boat is so small that only one soldier or only two boys can cross it - no more! However, all the soldiers crossed the river on this boat. How did they manage to do this?
Solution: First, both boys are transported in a boat. One of them remains on the other side, and the second boy returns and gives the boat to one of the soldiers. He is crossing the river. The boy waiting for him on the shore takes the boat and sails to the others. Then the cycle repeats until all the soldiers have crossed.
16.
The problem is childish, but adults find it difficult to find a solution. Stereotypes get in the way.
Hint: How do animals voice? It turns out that the cow is “moo”, the pig is “oink”, the goat is “meh”, the cuckoo is “cuckoo”, the dog is “woof”, the cat is “meow”, the rooster is “crow”, and the donkey is "ia".
Answer: 2.
