How to heal an abrasion on the face. How to get rid of abrasions on the face if you have to work tomorrow

For many, especially women, the face is a symbol of beauty and attractiveness, on which mood and general well-being depend. Therefore, even the slightest injury to the skin of this area gives a person great anxiety. We will tell you how to quickly heal damage and not leave scars that disfigure the most noticeable part of a person.

Shulepin Ivan Vladimirovich, traumatologist-orthopedist, highest qualification category

Total work experience over 25 years. In 1994 he graduated from the Moscow Institute of Medical and Social Rehabilitation, in 1997 he completed a residency in the specialty “Traumatology and Orthopedics” at the Central Research Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics named after. N.N. Prifova.

The face, as an open part of the body, is quite often subject to injury. Moreover, the effect on the skin is not only external, but also under the influence of internal processes. Let's look at these options in more detail:

  • Abrasions. Their distinctive feature is a violation of the integrity of the most superficial areas of the skin. There is usually little or no bleeding. Abrasions cause trouble due to pain (the skin on the face is well innervated) and cosmetic problems.
  • Cuts. Injury with a sharp object, the danger of which depends on the location and depth. Bleeding can be quite severe, sometimes nerves are damaged, which leads to impaired facial expressions. The treatment of such wounds should be entrusted to a specialist to prevent irreparable consequences and complications.
  • Lacerations. They occur as a result of car accidents or animal bites. They are characterized by massive rupture of soft tissues with damage not only to the skin, but also to muscles, and profuse bleeding. Deep wounds are dangerous due to secondary infection and the development of purulent complications.
  • Self-injury. This group is conventionally distinguished due to the fact that a person himself often damages the skin of his face as a result of improper care: acne wounds (squeezing), burns from low-quality cosmetics, and others.

Most facial injuries require consultation with a doctor, as this area of the body has its own characteristics that affect healing and the possibility of cosmetic complications.

Features of injuries on the face

Treating even superficial abrasions on the face is very different from healing wounds in other areas of the body. This is due to anatomical features:

  • Enhanced blood supply. Facial tissues are literally riddled with small blood vessels. As a result, even a minor injury causes severe bleeding. There is a positive aspect to this - the better the blood circulation, the faster the wound heals.
  • Prolonged and extensive swelling. Swelling of the tissues is caused by their saturation with blood plasma. On the face, due to the large number of capillaries, this symptom is maximum, spreads to neighboring areas and persists for a longer time.
  • Facial muscles. One of the successful conditions for tissue regeneration is their complete immobility. This is difficult to achieve on the face, since during conversation or emotions an automatic contraction of the facial muscles occurs. The edges of the wound diverge, healing is inhibited. That is why, in case of facial injury, doctors recommend applying cosmetic sutures even to small cuts.
  • Pain . There are many structural elements on the face: small bones, facial muscles, teeth. All of them have good innervation, so the slightest injury leads to severe pain.

The described features have a positive consequence - wounds on the face usually heal faster than in other areas of the body and are less likely to become infected.

The application of sutures in this place can be delayed for up to 36 hours (in other places this period is limited to a day).

Principles of treatment

The body's ability to heal itself is enormous. Facial wounds in the absence of infection have a favorable healing prognosis. It is important to properly treat them in the first hours and then follow medical recommendations. The following approaches are used for treatment.

Medicines

The following recommendations will help speed up the recovery process without consequences:

  • Before starting treatment you need stop the bleeding. To do this, apply a sterile gauze bandage to the damaged area. If bleeding persists within a few minutes, consult a doctor immediately as deep vessels may be affected.
  • Antiseptic treatment. This is a mandatory procedure for all injuries. accompanied by skin damage. But traditional remedies (alcohol, iodine) on the face can cause burns. Therefore, it is recommended to dilute them with water. Solutions of potassium permanganate, hydrogen peroxide and furatsilin are safe for disinfecting wounds on the face.
  • For cuts on the cheek or around the mouth, it is better to get stitches immediately. These areas are constantly in motion (talking, eating), so the edges of the wound will constantly separate, and as a result, a visible scar may form.
  • If there is not just torn skin on the face, but a deeper wound, you should immediately see a surgeon. He will professionally treat the surface and give recommendations for further treatment.
  • In order for the wound to heal without a scar, it is necessary to reduce the period of tissue regeneration as much as possible. There are special ointments and creams for this:

“Lekar”, “Astroderm”, “Actovegin”, “Levomekol”, “Bepanten”, “D-Panthenol”, “Sinyakoff”, cream “911”, “Xeroform” and many others. Before using them, you should consult your doctor, since each remedy has its own characteristics and contraindications.

  • Correct choice of dosage form. This is a fundamental point. If the wound is wet, exudate is released from it, you need to apply a solution or jelly, only after drying is treatment with oil-based ointments indicated.
  • To improve the functioning of the immune system, the patient is prescribed multivitamin course. If infection is suspected, broad-spectrum antibiotics are recommended.

IMPORTANT! The specifics of using external medications should be discussed with your doctor.

Some are effective from the first hours after injury, others should be used at the final stages of treatment. It has been proven that hydrogen peroxide is justified only in the treatment of deep open wounds; with minor damage, the product only causes an unnecessary burn of the skin.

Folk remedies

There are many natural remedies in nature that can help you cope with wounds at home. We list the most effective and proven ones:

  • Aloe. The juice of this plant is a natural antibiotic, has an anti-inflammatory effect, and reduces swelling. It is squeezed out of the lower, “oldest” leaves, moistened with a gauze pad and applied to the wound for a few minutes 2-3 times a day.
  • Plantain. Healing wounds with the help of leaves has been known for a long time. For the face you need to make a paste: the plantain is scrolled through a meat grinder and mixed with Vaseline (ratio 1:5). The result is an easy-to-apply ointment that can be used to treat wounds several times a day.
  • Kalanchoe. The action and method of application are similar to aloe.
  • Horsetail. The herb is dried or bought at a pharmacy, crushed into powder and sprinkled on the damaged areas.
  • Calendula. Prepare an ointment, mix 10 g of crushed calendula with Vaseline or butter (1:5).

Typically, facial wounds have a favorable prognosis and heal within 7-10 days. If the use of folk remedies does not have an effect for a long time, the wound does not heal during this time, you need to consult a doctor to correct the treatment.

Features of treatment in children

It is especially difficult for young patients to endure facial trauma due to pain and other unpleasant symptoms. They cannot spare damage, so the edges of the wound diverge much more often than in adults.

In case of facial injuries in children, you should immediately go to the emergency room, where any incisions will require cosmetic self-absorbing sutures for the child.

This will shorten the recovery period and reduce the incidence of complications.

Complications

If the course is unfavorable, wounds on the face can leave unpleasant consequences:

  • Suppuration. Often this complication is a consequence of improper treatment. A wound, even the smallest one, needs to be regularly treated with antiseptics. Stitches must be placed on deep incisions. If doctors' recommendations are violated, long-term non-healing wounds on the face become infected with bacteria, and the process becomes purulent.
  • Scars. The formation of connective tissue at the site of injury is a natural regeneration process. This causes a lot of cosmetic problems on the face. The more extensive the damage and the longer the recovery period, the more noticeable the scars will be. To eliminate them, there are conservative methods (absorbable creams) and surgical ones (plasty).
  • Facial nerve injury. This is a more serious consequence, which, unfortunately, is much more difficult to correct. Symptoms depend on the location of the injury and include loss of sensation and movement in certain areas of the face.

Wounds on the face are always unpleasant. In this case, more than ever, it is important to follow all the recommendations of doctors. It is better to ignore the appearance at the first stage, apply stitches if necessary and regularly treat the damage, than to treat complications for a long time later.

How to quickly treat wounds and abrasions on the face. First aid

The most unpleasant injuries are wounds on the face that cannot be covered with clothing and hidden from prying eyes. They spoil the appearance, force you to wear a bandage and are fraught with the formation of scars that can remain for life.

To prevent this from happening, you must initially contact a surgeon in time to properly treat the damaged area and undergo a course of treatment. It is especially important to use ointments that prevent further scar formation. The more competently you care for injured skin, the faster and without consequences the healing will occur.

Peculiarities

Due to the anatomical features of the face, wounds have specific features that in one way or another affect the treatment. This is due to active facial expressions, which involve a large number of muscles. In addition, there is very thin skin and a relatively small layer of fat.

It is for these reasons that injuries on the face do not heal quite the same as those on other parts of the body.

  1. Severe trauma can cause wound dehiscence, which slows healing. Facial muscles especially suffer from damage.
  2. Even a minor injury causes severe bleeding, since the vessels on the face are located too close to the surface of the skin.
  3. You will have to endure a lot of inconveniences: discomfort and pain when smiling, communicating, facial expressions, eating, etc.
  4. High risk of infection due to careless handling or improper care. It is this factor that determines the use of antibiotics in the treatment of such injuries.
  5. Wounds on the face are usually accompanied by severe swelling, which greatly spoils the appearance.
  6. Healing occurs much faster than in other areas of the body. This is explained by the fact that the cells here have an increased potential for regeneration, and the blood supply to this area is enhanced.
  7. Sutures on the face can be applied even 36 hours after the injury, while on other parts of the body this interval is only 24 hours.
  8. There are areas where healing is facilitated and accelerated due to the specific structure of the tissues - in particular, this is the mouth area.

Everyone wants to quickly heal a wound on their face so that they can go out into the world and not be embarrassed by bandages and scars. But for this you will have to take a number of measures and undergo a course of treatment.

This is interesting! With proper healing, the wound itches very much, because not only new cells grow there, but also damaged nerve endings. It is this process that causes itching.

Treatment

If you receive an injury, it is advisable to see a surgeon as soon as possible. He will take the necessary measures: he will professionally process the edges, apply stitches (if necessary), give an injection against infection, talk about the rules of care, and most importantly, prescribe the appropriate treatment and explain how to quickly heal it with the help of medications and even folk remedies.

Medications

Facial injuries should not be taken lightly. They won't heal on their own. Damaged tissues need to be helped to recover as quickly as possible so that recovery occurs without consequences or side effects. This is possible thanks to medications prescribed by the surgeon after the examination.

  1. Do not treat the edges of the wound with alcohol or iodine. Delicate and sensitive skin will take too long to heal after this. To avoid irritation, they must be diluted with water.
  2. It is much more effective for this purpose to use a solution of furatsilin or potassium permanganate, hydrogen peroxide or boric acid and other antiseptics. Proper treatment at the initial stage will significantly speed up healing.
  3. Multivitamins will help the body quickly cope with injury and avoid infection.
  4. To finally heal a wound that has not healed for a long time, antibiotics may be prescribed.

You can stimulate the regeneration process by using pharmaceutical ointments (for dry skin) or jelly-like preparations (if the damage becomes wet or fester), prescribed by a doctor. Only he will explain what to apply to the injured area and recommend certain remedies:

  • Actovegin is an analogue of Solcoseryl, this fast-healing ointment is applied under the bandage;
  • Baneocyon - powder for weeping wounds and ulcers, ointment - for more dry ones;
  • Bepanten;
  • Dermatix is a silicone gel that ensures rapid healing of wounds and prevents the formation of scars;
  • Contratubeks - regenerating ointment for healing wounds on the face from a German manufacturer;
  • Xeroform;
  • Levomekol is the best antibacterial ointment (also helps with);
  • Levosin;
  • Doctor;
  • Malavit;
  • Panthenol is the best product in the form of a spray (read about this drug as a cosmetic product);
  • Sinyakoff;
  • Solcoseryl - gel for fresh wounds, ointment - for dry ones;
  • Rescuer;
  • Sulfagin;
  • Cycaderma;
  • Eplan is an anti-infective agent, under this name a wound healing cream, solution and gauze wipes are available for sale - medicinal and antiseptic.

Keep in mind. It is not advisable to smear fresh, weeping wounds with anything, so as not to cut off the access of oxygen to the tissues - this will slow down the recovery process.

If you want to use natural remedies, you can consult your doctor about using wound healing herbs at home.

Folk remedies

Anti-inflammatory, wound healing, promoting rapid tissue regeneration, painkillers - such herbs can be used in the treatment of wounds on the face. But! Only with the doctor's permission, so as not to accidentally introduce an infection or cause an allergic reaction.

  • Aloe juice

Squeeze juice from the lower fleshy leaves of aloe, moisten small pieces of a bandage folded several times in it, and apply to the damaged area for 10 minutes 2-3 times a day.

  • Ointment with plantain

Grind plantain leaves in a meat grinder, mix with Vaseline, maintaining a ratio of 1 to 5. You will get a very effective homemade healing cream. Apply three times a day.

  • Kalanchoe juice

Squeeze a few drops of fresh Kalanchoe juice onto the damaged area. You can make lotions similar to those described above with aloe juice.

  • Horsetail

Grind dry horsetail into powder and sprinkle it on the injured area.

  • Calendula

Mix 10 grams of crushed calendula flowers with 50 grams of butter (vaseline). Lubricate several times a day.

You can also use it at home.

If, when using folk remedies, a wound on the face does not heal within 7-10 days, it should be shown to a doctor, stopping the use of herbs. Perhaps it’s not them at all, but rather insufficient care for injured skin.

In any case, consultation with a specialist is necessary. Well, be more careful when handling the wounded surface.

It turns out that... For the treatment of superficial wounds of a small area, the use of hydrogen peroxide is not justified. It damages tissues and cells adjacent to the injury, but remaining healthy and intact. This increases the healing time. It is advisable to use this product for cleaning only very complex wounds from pus, dirt, and blood clots before introducing an antiseptic solution.

Rules of care

To speed up healing, it is not enough to use only ointments prescribed by a doctor. It is very important at any stage of restoration of damaged tissue to properly care for the skin. This will avoid aggressive, irritating factors and will promote rapid cell regeneration.

  1. Washing the affected area. If no dirt gets into the wound, it will be enough to direct a stream of running clean water into it. If severe contamination occurs, you will have to use antiseptic solutions. If pharmaceutical products are not at hand, use regular soap.
  2. Next, a bandage is applied to protect against new contamination and stop bleeding. For this, a sterile bandage and cotton wool are used.
  3. Do not stick the patch on, because when removed it will tear the edges of the wound even more.
  4. You can leave the area open to help it heal faster, but this increases the risk of infection.
  5. If healing is successful, the bactericidal patch can only be used after 3-4 days. It will need to be constantly changed.
  6. Hide injured skin from temperature changes, frost and ultraviolet radiation.
  7. Until it is completely healed, do not visit solariums, baths, or swimming pools.
  8. If the wound remains unhealed within 2-3 weeks, infection has most likely occurred. You will have to see a doctor and undergo a course of antibiotic treatment.
  9. Food should be enriched with vitamins and proteins. Eat fresh vegetables and fruits, dairy products, nuts, and herbs daily.
  10. Keep the surface perfectly clean.
  11. You cannot treat wounds on the face on your own, only with folk remedies. Remember: your appearance will depend on this. You should consult your doctor about using even aloe juice.

If damaged skin is provided with proper care, most likely everything will work out without consequences for beauty and health. This requires patience so as not to give up and despair every time you look in the mirror.

Bandages, dressings, plasters and ointments will soon run out if done correctly. Otherwise, you will have to face complications.

Wow! In America, Indian tribes used soldier ants, which had well-developed powerful jaws, to heal wounds. They launched insects onto the damaged area of the skin, and with their jaws they tightened the edges of the wound, preventing them from moving apart.

Consequences

If the wound does not heal well, it may become infected. In this case, it will fester and take too long to heal. You can’t do without antibiotics, and they are known to kill the immune system and disrupt the intestinal microflora. In addition, the consequences of injury can be:

  • colloidal scar;
  • scars;
  • damage to the facial nerve, which can lead to necrosis of the damaged area;
  • loss of sensitivity.

If it is small in size and area and was quickly processed by a professional, tissue restoration occurs in up to 10 days. Residual effects in the form of scars and scars, while they are still fresh, can be eliminated (you will find help in selecting the necessary cream for this in ours).

It’s a different matter if too much of the face is affected, if the edges of the wound are too far apart or if dirt has gotten into it. Treatment will require time and patience.

There is no person in the world who has not at least once received abrasions - the most common superficial wounds. They easily occur with all types of physical activity, so they are well known to both adults and children.

The question of how to quickly heal an abrasion is not particularly difficult, because it does not pose a danger to health and, especially, life. The main thing is to properly treat the injury and prevent it from becoming infected so that the healing process goes smoothly.

Let's figure out how to quickly heal an abrasion using simple recommendations:

  1. The injured area must be cleaned with regular running water. If the abrasion is significantly dirty, it is better to use a soap solution. This will reduce the risk of infection in the wound.
  2. As a rule, bleeding is not typical for abrasions. But, if it does exist, stop it with a pressure bandage. A sterile bandage is applied to the site of injury, and the top is bandaged.
  3. Moisturizing procedures, for example, hot local baths, will help heal an abrasion faster. By adding sea salt, the effectiveness of the procedure will increase. True, you will have to endure some uncomfortable and even painful sensations. The main thing is that a thick, dry crust does not form on the abrasion, which will slow down the rate of healing.
  4. If the wound is in no hurry to heal, treat it with some ointment with antibacterial properties: Baktin, Neosporin. To avoid an allergic reaction to the drug, consult a doctor.
  5. Applying a plaster to an abrasion has its own purpose, as it prevents the sore from hardening.
  1. Indicators of abrasion healing are: reduction of redness, swelling and absence of signs of suppuration. If alarming symptoms appear, it is better to play it safe by going to the doctor. Especially if the wound is on the face. You don't want to become the owner of an ugly scar, do you?
  2. Traditional recipes will be very useful in treating small wounds:
  • Oil balm has long enjoyed the reputation of a magical remedy for overcoming long-healing wounds. It was made from crushed pine needles and butter, taken in equal quantities and thoroughly mixed. This remedy was applied to the injury three times a day until the wound healed.
  • Aloe juice is known for its incredible healing properties. It destroys bacteria at the site of damage, enhances tissue regeneration and eliminates the manifestation of inflammation. The juice of the plant used as a ten-minute lotion gives visible results within a few days. Naturally, multiple procedures are required.
  • Any hunter will tell you about the healing properties of badger fat. But to get it, you don’t have to go into the forest for prey. Ointments and creams with this natural elixir are available in any pharmacy. If you apply the product to the abrasion up to 2 times a day, relief will come fairly quickly.
  • For lovers of exotic things, it will be interesting to prepare a tincture from the fruits of Sophora japonica. 50 g of raw material is poured with half a liter of vodka. They insist for about a month. The result is a healing liquid of a beautiful cherry color, which can be used for half an hour as a lotion on the wound.

How to quickly heal an abrasion - Questions and answers

I also agree that release in the form of a spray is much more convenient and practical. We use an old proven remedy - Olazol spray with sea buckthorn oil. It contains an antiseptic, so it immediately disinfects the wound, quickly heals and relieves pain. So my son quickly stops crying. Everything heals very quickly.

Well, don’t tell me that the spray form is more convenient; for example, it’s not convenient for me to use sprays at all, so I prefer ointment in such cases. By the way, like the previous author, I use sulfargin ointment, the ointment is very good. She's helped me out more than once.

I lead a fairly active lifestyle, I often go hiking, play sports, sometimes I get abrasions, in such cases I always use sulfargin ointment, it heals well and leaves no marks or scars.

Pecherskaya 05/08/2015 at 15:24:05

In general, folk recipes rule, and I myself am a fan of traditional methods of treatment and drugs, the composition of which is clear and understandable. It is very important for me that the composition contains something familiar and natural. By the way, the author forgot about sea buckthorn oil - it used to be widely used to treat abrasions, wounds and burns. Now they are also used, but most often as part of domestic multi-healing preparations - for example, in olazol spray. there is sea buckthorn oil, and an analgesic effect, and immediately an antimicrobial effect - they poked at the wound a couple of times, and everything healed. By the way, in principle it is much more convenient to process in a spray than with just oil or some kind of cream - it is absorbed instantly!

Everyone has their own proven remedy. My children are so restless that they get into trouble everywhere - one is 2 years old, the other is 5 years old. Curiosity and curiosity are paramount, and then you have to treat the consequences of this curiosity - wounds, abrasions. They didn’t have any burns, pah-pah-pah, but then I myself often get burned in the kitchen when the children are distracted. In our family, a helper for such problems is sulfargin ointment, which, unlike brilliant green and iodine, can be applied directly to the wound itself. This ointment will not cause any burns like alcohol solutions. On the contrary, it heals wounds and abrasions well. And I also use it for burns - I love the universal remedy, which is suitable for the whole family (children from 1 year of age are allowed to use it).

How to quickly heal abrasions

An abrasion is a damage to the integrity of the skin or mucous membrane. Typically, the abrasion is covered with a small amount of fluid (blood or lymph).

Light abrasions, for example due to scratching, affect only the upper layer of the dermis. Despite the fact that an abrasion is a fairly simple injury, it can become the cause of infection. In this regard, even a very small wound must be properly treated.

Such an injury is accompanied by feelings of pain and burning. The pressure of separated blood is determined by the depth of tissue damage. When the area and depth of the lesion are small, it is possible to provide first aid yourself.

First aid

1. Initially, you should wash the injured surface with boiled water and soap. This will remove not just dirt from the wound, but also germs.

2. Then irrigate the abrasion with hydrogen peroxide. To do this, you can use a syringe without a needle. In addition to peroxide, a weak solution of potassium permanganate is also suitable. Be careful that all the crystals dissolve, otherwise you may get burned.

4. After 5 days, the bandage can be removed. If it has dried to the abrasion, do not soak it or tear it off with force. After 2 days, the crust will come off on its own.

5. When there is no sterile material nearby, only the skin around the wound should be treated; it itself can be sprinkled with streptocide or norsulfazole powder.

6. You should not make a patch without a gauze layer or smear the abrasion with ointment. Such help will simply worsen the condition of the wound and increase the period of scarring. If the tissue around the abrasion is painful and red, it may be infected. When pus appears, weakness, drowsiness, hyperthermia may occur, the nearest lymph nodes hurt and become enlarged.

When to see a doctor?

1. The blood flows heavily and it is impossible to stop it;

2. The tissues around the abrasion are swollen, hyperemic and hot. There was a jerking pain at the site of injury, the general temperature increased and a purulent process formed;

3. Animal feces and dirt have entered the wound.

Even a fairly small abrasion can cause infection with dangerous microbes that mature without oxygen, such as tetanus.

How do abrasions heal?

Healing always happens the same way:

1. Stage of inflammation. When an injury occurs, a blood clot immediately begins to form. In addition, the immune system resists harmful microbes. All this provokes inflammation: pain, swelling and redness of the tissue. This stage lasts a maximum of a week. By the end of it, granulation cells tighten the abrasion.

2. Proliferation stage. It lasts up to a month and is characterized by complete granulation, the formation of new small blood vessels and surface epithelization. As a result, an elastic and bright scar is formed.

3. Scar formation. This stage is typical for complex injuries and lasts a year. The scar becomes pale and is no longer easy to notice. The scar's characteristics are close to healthy skin. And only after this stage the scar becomes narrower.

Accordingly, the duration of these stages greatly depends on the extent of the abrasion.

What should be in the first aid kit

At the moment, wound healing sprays are becoming increasingly popular, but other forms of medicine are not inferior to them.

Bepanten - this product will help heal small abrasions, moisturize and relieve inflammation. The main components are provitamin B5 and almond oil.

Drapolene is an antiseptic for getting rid of gram-positive pathogens in the wound.

Baneocin (ointment, powder) is an antibiotic for treating wounds. May cause skin irritation.

Rescue balm - created from natural ingredients: vitamins, sea buckthorn oil, naftalan mud and beeswax. Resolves inflammation, kills harmful microflora and accelerates tissue regeneration. Used to treat abrasions, including infected ones.

Eplan (cream, liniment) is the main component of glycolan. With its help, wounds heal 2 times faster, pain goes away and the development of microbes stops.

Contractubex - this drug will help get rid of scars. Its components (onion extract, heparin, allantoin) normalize microflora, relieve inflammation, and improve tissue restoration.

BF-6 glue is a medical glue that forms a protective film on the abrasion plane. With the help of its components, you can defeat microbes and speed up healing. For very wet surfaces, glue is not used.

The means for rapid wound healing do not end there.

Folk remedies

1. If you apply aloe three times a day, pain and inflammation will go away faster and healing will begin. The same effect can be achieved by applying honey to a bandage and applying it to the wound.

2. Juice of nettles, beets, apples or yarrow decoction can be used to treat wounds.

To avoid leaving scars, it is necessary to clean and moisten the abrasion while the abrasion is wet. And if a dry crust has formed, the wound must be nourished and protected from damage.

When the surface is completely scarred within 2 weeks, there will definitely be no scars.

Testicular bruise - treatment and complication

Testicular bruises in representatives of the stronger half of humanity happen quite often. This injury can occur from a fall, from being hit by a ball (or foot), or from riding a horse or riding a bicycle.

It should be noted that damage to the testicles in the event of a blow to the groin can be quite severe and even cause severe painful shock.

As a rule, after a testicular bruise, swelling of the scrotum may occur, and a change in its color (cyanosis) may also be observed.

Bruised fingernail

A bruised fingernail is a nuisance that almost every one of us can encounter in everyday life. Such an injury can be caused by pinching a nail in a door or pressing it with something heavy. There are many situations in which the likelihood of injury arises, and it is simply not realistic to list them all, just as it is impossible to prevent the likelihood of injury one hundred percent. That is why it is necessary to know first aid methods for a damaged nail for its quick and painless recovery.

Severe leg bruise

Unfortunately, at any age and in any place, a person cannot avoid falls, injuries and bruises. Our limbs - arms and legs - are especially often affected. As a rule, a leg bruise does not affect the entire limb, but some part of it, the main “victims” of bruises: the knee joint, lower leg and toes, less often the thigh and heel, and each of these areas is characterized by its own characteristics and signs of bruises.

  • Interesting! Abrasions occur due to blows from blunt objects during a fall. The top layer of skin, called the epidermis, is damaged. First, a red spot appears on the affected area (it may bleed or swell).

    When an abrasion appears, it is necessary to carry out treatment and stop the bleeding, if any. Unpleasant painful sensations during injury - burning, itching. If bleeding is severe, your body temperature may rise.

    Stages of treatment of abrasions

    The severity is determined by the depth of the damage. Symptoms of abrasions include bleeding (the amount depends on the severity of the injury), pain and burning at the site of injury. When the skin disorder is minor, you can eliminate it at home using special products. But if you have some symptoms, you need to seek medical help:

    • the site of injury bleeds heavily, the bleeding does not stop;
    • local or general temperature rises, suppuration forms;
    • the abrasion is contaminated, there is a risk of infection entering the wound. The results of contamination can be dangerous, blood poisoning is possible.

    Treatment at home

    Treatment of facial abrasions at home begins with washing the affected area. If the wound is not too dirty, then it is enough to rinse it with running clean water. When the contamination is severe, you cannot do without an antiseptic solution (3% hydrogen peroxide solution, 2% boric acid solution, potassium permanganate solution, Chlorhexidine, Decasan).

    Important! If you don’t have pharmaceutical antiseptics on hand, you can use regular soap. To avoid burns, you cannot treat the entire wound with iodine or brilliant green.

    Further treatment plan for abrasions:

    1. After treatment, apply a bandage to the wound. It will protect against new contaminants and stop bleeding. Be sure to use a sterile bandage for dressing.
    2. The patch is not suitable in this situation; ointments cannot be used at this stage of eliminating abrasions. The wound should be left open, then it will heal faster.
    3. Carry out antiseptic treatment regularly - Chlorhexidine or Decasan.
    4. The germicidal patch can be used after a few days. But it must be constantly replaced with a new one, removed in time, and the wound must be left open for some time.

    Important! Various special antibacterial ointments, which are sold in pharmacies, can be used only if the abrasion does not heal well within a few days, and after examination by a doctor.

    Features of treatment of facial abrasions

    Home treatment of facial abrasions requires special attention and care. After all, the face is a vulnerable place. In addition to the fact that the wound hurts, it also looks unsightly. The thing is that there are many nerve endings and blood vessels in this area. The vessels are located right at the surface of the skin and bruises develop quickly when damaged. So if you receive minimal injury, you should immediately begin treatment.

    Effective and popular folk remedies:

    • cut off the fleshy aloe juice and squeeze the juice out of it, make lotions several times a day for 10 minutes throughout the week;
    • Twist plantain leaves in a meat grinder and mix with petroleum jelly in a ratio of 1:5, apply the finished mixture 3 times a day.

    If you need to quickly remove abrasions on your face, then first of all:

    • treat with hydrogen peroxide;
    • rinse with an antiseptic;
