ELSA'S CHRISTMAS TREE HAT

The New Year holidays are starting soon and you need to think about outfits for your little princesses. For those girls who love cartoons and princesses, I suggest knitting a hat with the braid of Princess Elsa - the heroine of the cartoon "Frozen". It is crocheted, the description is given for all sizes of the cap, crown and braid. And if you sew a matching dress with a shiny cape and make a crown for this image of a fairy-tale princess, then your beloved daughter will be the most beautiful. While there is still time, buy the appropriate threads and hook and knit.

Cap option No. 1-description from here

To make the braid more voluminous, you need to add strands above those already attached to the bottom edge. The number of threads is limited only by the weight of the braid - the cap will be uncomfortable to wear, and a braid that is too heavy can pull the cap to one side.

Knitted crown for the spider princess. Last year my daughter wanted one unusual costume. There were no problems with him. But I had to struggle with the headdress. But the almighty Internet helped!! After getting a little creative, I came up with this decoration. For it I used a large skein of cotton thread for knitting, a hook No. 2.5 and “golden” beads for the Christmas tree.

I cast on 170 loops, taking into account the lifting and joining loops. In the first row, the first double crochet was knitted in the 7th loop from . The crown is not knitted in the round.
The finished fabric is sewn together with an invisible seam.
Then I diluted the gelatin in hot water, cooled down a little. I soaked the crown in gelatin, squeezed it out a little and pulled it onto the frame. Moreover, if you need a crown for a boy, it is better to use a glass jar, then it will turn out to be of a different shape. And I came up with the idea of stretching it onto an empty flowerpot. I smeared it a couple more times with a brush and left it to dry. The next evening I decorated it with beads.

Crochet crown "Gold"

Another crochet crown. This time I used yarn yellow color with lurex in gold color. The crown can be additionally decorated with rhinestones, beads, and sequins.

Dimensions: diameter - 9 cm, height - 6 cm.

Yarn: "Brilliant Summer" Pekhorka (95% mercerized cotton, 5% methanite, 380m/100g)
Hook: No. 1.5.

Description of work: Crochet crown

Next knit according to the pattern.

Crochet crown pattern.

Tie the crown at the bottom with one row of connecting posts.

Starch the crown, put it on a round container and dry it. I put it on a round glass jar.

You can give the crown a rigid shape using sugar, gelatin or starch. Gelatin may produce a yellow tint.

I starched using potato starch: dilute 1 heaping tablespoon of starch in a small amount of cold water, then pour in 500 ml of boiling water and brew, stirring well. Dip the crown into the resulting paste, let it soak well, then squeeze out the excess.

step

There are three types of starching products:
1. soft - 0.5-1 tsp. for 1 liter of water (suitable for bed linen)
2. semi-hard - 1 tbsp. per 1 liter of water (for collar workers men's shirts)
3. hard - 2 tbsp. for 1 liter of water

2step

Prepare the solution as follows:
Put starch in a glass or enamel bowl, add a little cold water and mix thoroughly until it becomes thick sour cream, and then, stirring constantly, add boiling water until the desired consistency is obtained.
For starching, it is better to use a warm solution. Dip the finished product into the solution and carefully squeeze out the excess solution.

3step

If you need to starch a napkin knitted from cotton threads, then a semi-rigid type of starch is sufficient.
If you need to starch the skirt of a Christmas angel or a knitted vase, then use hard starch.
ATTENTION! After the excess solution has been squeezed out, knitted product needs to be given the required form and leave until completely dry.
So, lay out the napkin and straighten it on a horizontal surface, stretch the knitted vase onto glass, plastic or other dishes of a similar shape. The skirt for the angel also needs to be pulled over a cone (truncated cone) after treatment with a starch solution.

New Year's snowflake costume

If you have a daughter in your family, then she, at least once, has been or will be New Year's party Snowflake. Today, for those who know how to crochet, I want to show how to make new Year costume DIY snowflakes. Elegant dress you most likely have. Now let's make accessories: a crown and a snowflake magic wand.

We will need: a 1.5 crochet hook, snow-white acrylic knitting threads, a hair hoop, a wooden stick and glitter glue for decoration.

Now we crochet 5 snowflakes for the crown and 1 snowflake for the magic wand.

There are a lot of snowflake knitting patterns on the Internet, you can choose any you like. The main thing is that one snowflake is large, two medium and 2 small.

I used this pattern to knit the central large snowflake:

The scheme is not complicated. I photographed the process of knitting snowflakes:

After all the snowflakes are ready, they need to be lightly smoothed and starched. Wait until completely dry (can be laid out on white cardboard on the radiator).

These are the snowflakes I made for the crown:

We apply snowflakes to the hoop, figuring out how they will be located.

We sew snowflakes to the hoop and to each other.

We wrap the lower ray of the central snowflake around the hoop and sew the tip to the snowflake from the inside out. Now she "sits" tightly.

We use glue with glitter to make it beautiful and put it back on the battery to dry (snowflakes from moisture can become limp and sag a little, but this is fixable).

Snowflake Crown is ready:

To complement Snowflake’s costume, we’ll make a Magic Wand.

We take a wooden sushi stick, glue the tip of a white thread to it and wrap it tightly, ring to ring, the entire stick to the end. We wind the last turns around the glue and cut off the end of the thread.

Glue the pre-tied snowflake with superglue.

Your DIY magic wand is ready:

This is how Snowflake’s New Year’s costume turned out:

Let your little ones be the most beautiful New Year's holiday!

The dream of almost every little girl is to turn into a princess in a wonderful dress, magic shoes and a delicate crown... And, of course, it is at the New Year's ball that these dreams should come true! Let us help them transform themselves and create uniquely beautiful crowns for girls with our own hands! This work will not take much time, but it will bring great joy! We will look at how to crochet a crown in this article.

Tools and materials needed for work

To create a wonderful fairy-tale accessory you need to prepare:

  • Cotton threads (white, golden, silver) or lurex yarn.
  • Crochet hook - it is better if it is a little thinner than necessary. This will give additional rigidity to your product.
  • Starch, hairspray with the strongest hold (possibly with glitter) or PVA glue - for additional processing.
  • Knitting patterns.
  • Decorative accessories (rhinestones, beads).
  • Glue (for fixing the crown to the hairpin).
  • Hair clips or headband.

The simplest bell crown

For this accessory you need to cast on 30-35 air loops (their number should be a multiple of five). We close the chain into a ring and knit several rows (4-6) in a circular pattern with single crochets. The knitting of the fabric must be very tight so that the finished product does not wrinkle or fall over.

Our next action will be to create the first clove. To do this, you need to knit six single crochets and turn the work. The next row will have five pillars. without yarn overs that start from the second loop of the previous row. Let's turn it again, knit 4 single crochets - this way we will reduce the loops. When the last loop remains, knit air loop and go down the clove, on the side of the clove, in a single crochet. We finish with a half-column. One clove is ready.

In the same way, you need to tie all the other cloves.

When finished, the edges of the teeth must be tied with single crochets - this will give a more neat and finished look to the crown. We also tie the bottom.

We sew beads to the tip of each clove. That's it, ready!

All that remains is to secure it to a headband or hair elastic.

Crown for newborn baby

Photo shoots of their babies have become quite fashionable among modern parents. For such filming, you can also create a beautiful thing - a crown. In this case, choose soft and delicate threads, with natural compositions, hypoallergenic. Tight knitting is contraindicated here, since the skin of babies is very vulnerable and a hard accessory will irritate it.

To make a crown using a crochet pattern, you must first take a measurement from the circumference of your head. Such a crown should be worn like a cap or headband.

Small white crown on the rim

Let's bring some magic to daily life our favorite princesses! Let's take it and make a wonderful crown for a girl with our own hands - by attaching it to a clip, we will get a wonderful hair decoration!

Materials required for work:

  • Fine yarn white(possibly with the addition of lurex).
  • The hook is the right size.
  • Hair clip.
  • Rubber glue.
  • A little starch or hairspray.

In the first row you need to dial a chain of sixty airs. loops and connect it with a ring.

Second to fourth rows: knit single crochets.

In the fifth row we knit like this: 4 air. loops, *post. double crochet, air loop* - from * to * to the end of the row;

In the sixth row we knit 2 single crochets under the gaps of chain stitches.

In the seventh row we will knit ten arches from 6 air. loops, inserting the hook into every sixth column of the bottom row.

In the ninth row we make 5 airs from the middle of arch No. 1. loops, we knit a double crochet stitch - in the center of arch No. 2, another 5 loops and a double crochet stitch - here. Again 5 loops and a half-column in arch No. 3. In this sequence we go until the end of the row.

You have five cloves.

In the tenth row, you need to tie all the cloves with single crochets, forming peaks at their tips.

Let's bend the lower edge of the crown.

Then we bend the lower part - this will make the crown look prettier.

That's it, we knitted the crown. Now we either starch it or sprinkle it generously with hairspray to give it shape.

All that remains is to secure it to the clamp using rubber glue - and the beautiful white crown is ready!

Snowflake crown made from individual motifs

Snowflake costume for New Year's carnival completely ready, but something is missing? Complete the look of a magical character with a headdress in the form of a crown. According to the crochet pattern attached below, you just need to knit several motifs.

Such a wonderful addition will not just be a decoration, it will be the highlight of the outfit. After all, no one else around will have such a unique thing! It’s easy to make and it won’t take much time.

So, for a crown using a crochet pattern, you need to create 5-9 elements. Next, they need to be starched to give them rigidity and stretched on a flat surface. After complete drying, they are glued to the hoop and decorated with sparkles, beads, artificial snow, etc.

This hoop is pre-treated either with tape or covered with beads.

Elsa's turquoise crown with scythe

Prepare about fifty grams of fine yarn turquoise color and about 100 grams of white, several small decorative snowflakes.

The crown should not be very high, it should fit very well on the child’s head, holding the additional accessory - long braid from white yarn. Knitting patterns are attached below.

To work, you need to measure the circumference of the child's head and calculate the loops for the pattern.

To make the braid, cut the white threads into 2.2 m lengths (when you attach them to the crown, the length will be 1.1 m). Attach these threads along the bottom edge, folding the thread in half and pulling it into a loop. To achieve great pomp, add a few strands a little higher than those already attached to the bottom. Carefully monitor the weight of the threads - if the weight is too heavy, the braid will pull on the crown, and it will slide off the head.

After attaching the required number of threads, twist them slightly towards the middle, securing them into a tail and decorating them with a small snowflake. All that remains is to braid the braid - starting looser and making the braiding tighter at the bottom. Secure the tip with a thread and glue a snowflake. Also add snowflakes to the crown itself.

It’s very easy to crochet graceful crowns using crochet patterns, and they will bring a huge amount of joy to your little princess!

Possession of crocheting skills is an excellent opportunity for craftswomen to replenish the wardrobe of their loved ones with warm clothes made from really high-quality material, add variety to the interior of their home, or please their children with interesting accessories, such as a knitted openwork crown. Hook, minimal yarn and good scheme- this is what can transform plain white child dress in a princess or snowflake outfit.

No “this will do”

To get a product that can compete with the plastic and metal crowns that are sold in abundance in stores, you should pay attention to the choice of yarn and decor. If you don’t put in enough effort, the resulting crown will look like a “made-in-home product.” This is unlikely to please a child who was counting on a beautiful thing. In addition, any product knitted by hand is always subject to close scrutiny and criticism from others, which means the crown, crocheted, should be stylish, neat, proportional.

Yarn and tool

Thin, stiff yarn is best suited for knitting a crown. The optimal choice would be cotton, linen, viscose or polyamide. The thickness of the thread cannot be less than 500 m/100 grams; it is better to choose even thinner yarn. Of course, knitting like this thin threads- this is not for the faint of heart, because in addition to everything you will also have to maintain a high density of the material (otherwise you cannot avoid unevenly stretched loops). The finished fabric should be dense and as rigid as possible to create a neat crown. The hook should be thin, with a head size of 0.9-1.2 mm.

As for the color of the yarn, it is better to use classic tones: from cool white to pastel shades of blue, pink and lilac. The use of beige yarn can negate all efforts, because it looks “dirty” next to clothes of a lighter color.

Additional decor

Gone are the days when one was considered beautiful baby suit, which had more sparkles than the New Year tree, so there is no need to rack your brains and try to fit more decor onto the knitted crown. A crocheted crown for a girl can undoubtedly be decorated with sewn decorative elements that match the style and color. However, it is important to observe moderation and not overdo it. Sew-on elements that can be used as decoration for a crown:

  • Beads and seed beads.
  • Sequins.
  • Rhinestones.
  • Satin ribbons and cords.

Small decor is very convenient to sew between the loops of the fabric. Picos, which are often used to decorate the last row of crowns, are also excellent for this purpose. The decor should be sewn on before the crown is soaked in the fixing solution.

As a decoration option, you can consider using lurex yarn.

In knitting yarn, it shines well and has an elegant look, but you should be careful when using other sparkling elements together with Lurex, as there is a chance of overdoing it.

Crown shape

A knitted crown (crocheted snowflakes give it a completely winter flavor) is only suitable for New Year celebrations, while the use of universal decor will expand the scope of use of the accessory.

Knitted tiara

When choosing this form for making a crown, the volume of the head does not need to be measured. By the way, this model can be used many times, even if the child has grown, or it can be given to friends who have a baby without worrying about the size of his head. When looking for information on how to crochet a crown for a girl, it's easy to find a large number of tips and schemes. It is worth choosing the one that raises as few questions as possible when looking at it. In this case, the work will be a pleasure, and the result will be positive.

The diagram below is quite complicated to implement, but if successfully implemented, you will get a very beautiful crown. The good thing about a hook is that it allows you to knit fabrics even of such a complex shape.

Shutdown

In order for the finished product to fully perform its functions, it must be treated with starch, PVA glue or gelatin. All these methods are equally effective, especially if you combine some of them.

Considering that the described procedures lead to the fabric getting wet, you need to prepare in advance the object on which the crown will dry (the hook and the specific nature of the fabric associated with it can lead to shrinkage or deformation after drying). Many craftswomen note that a glass jar is excellent for these purposes. Sometimes an inflated balloon is also used. Then the dried crocheted crown will have the correct shape, become really tough and will not let you down at a crucial moment.
