Fights between a woman and a man. Fights between women and men Mixed fights between women and men

Disputes about who is better, men or women (or they are equal), have been going on for many centuries, and sports cannot do without them either. Of course, the issue is still being debated, but any conversation involving gender comparison in sports must include awareness of the following undeniable facts.

First, due to differences in genes, men are naturally stronger than women.
Secondly, in sports, reports from the Olympic Games since 1983 show that male athletes outperformed female athletes by an average of 10% in each event.

These facts suggest that athletics, for example, may be one sport where men enjoy a clear and significant advantage over women. But still, there have been several cases in history when women beat men in sports competitions and even in some athletics disciplines.

Here are nine of the most unforgettable moments when women took over men.

1. Eating Competition: Sonya Thomas at the National Wing Festival in Buffalo in 2003

Sonya Thomas, a petite Korean-American girl, doesn't look like a girl who eats much, but she is at the top of the rankings of the world's best eaters. She has even been nicknamed the "Black Widow" because of the regularity with which she defeats men five times her size. In 2003, Thomas won the National Wing Festival in Buffalo, where she competed against men and won by eating 134 wings in 12 minutes and earned 6 more such titles in 2004 and between 2007 and 2011. But she didn't stop there and made waves in the Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest. She's never won there, but in 2004 she downed 26.5 hot dogs in 12 minutes.

2. Boxing: Jackie Tonawanda defeated Larry Rodania at Aaron Bank's Oriental World of Self-Defense Show in 1975

Jackie "Female Ali" Tonawanda was among the pioneers of women's professional boxing in the 1970s and 1980s. She was one of three women to successfully win a case against the New York State Athletic Commission, which licensed boxers. Jackie confirmed her legendary status on June 8, 1975, when she became the first female boxer to fight at Madison Square Garden. Her opponent was a man, Larry Rodania. Even more amazingly, Tonawanda won the bout by knockout in the second round.

3. Horse racing (jockey): Julie Crone at the Belmont Stakes in 1993

Even as a child, American Julie Crone was already considered an experienced rider and competed in Western Michigan, but this was not enough for her. She dreamed of becoming a professional jockey and her idol was Steve Coten. And on January 30, 1981, Crone took a step toward making her dream come true by making her racing debut at Tampa Bay Downs in Florida. Just two weeks later, Julie won her first race, establishing herself as a rider. In 1993, Crown achieved what no woman had ever achieved before; she won the Belmont Stakes at Colonial Affair. With this success, Julie became the first female jockey to win a Triple Crown race. She has been inducted into the National Museum of Racing and Hall of Fame, the National Women's Hall of Fame and the Horsewomen Hall of Fame. But Julie didn't stop there. In 2003, Crown became the first female jockey to win the Breeders' Cup race at Santa Anita.

4. Ultramarathon: Pam Reed at Ultramarathon Badwater 2002 and 2003

In July, the sun over Death Valley, California is considered the most destructive and deadly, but this weather is considered ideal for one of the most difficult marathons - the Badwater Ultramarathon. The marathon is over 217 kilometers long, starting in Badwater, the lowest point in North America, and finishing on Mount Whitney. Due to harsh conditions, Irina Reutovich’s record of 29:48:27 in 2000 was considered unattainable. So it took a lot of convincing for 41-year-old Pam Reed, an experienced marathon runner, to take part in the race. However, when she did it in 2002, and came first and beat Reutovich's record by 1 hour and 52 minutes, everyone was shocked. In addition, the next participant crossed the finish line more than 4 hours later. And Pam proved it was no fluke by winning the marathon again in 2003.

5. Bowling: Kelly Kulick at the 2010 Tournament of Champions

On June 4, 2006, in New Jersey, Kelly Kulick changed history by becoming the first female bowler to be sanctioned by the Professional Bowling Association (PBA), so she could compete in any PBA competition during the 2006-2007 season. Soon after, Kelly set herself the goal of becoming the first woman to hold a PBA title. And Kulik did it at the 2010 PBA Tournament of Champions. Kelly qualified for the tournament by winning the inaugural PBA Women's World Championship and proved capable of competing in the prestigious competition, outlasting Chris Barnes 265-195 in the finals. After the historic victory, Kulik beamed: "Obviously this is a turning point in my career and women's sports in general, but I would really like the sport to benefit from my victory."

6. Freestyle wrestling. Michaela Hutchison at the 2006 Alaska High School State Meet

Do women fight men? It sounds strange, to say the least. But in 2005, 17 women qualified to compete in the wrestling championships, which also included men. However, Mikaela Hutchison of Anchorage, Alaska, changed history in 2006 by becoming the first female wrestler to win a national championship against men. She got into the sport through her brothers, two of whom held the title before Mikaela took it. However, it came as a surprise to the Hutchinsons when Michaela was able to win the final in just 16 seconds. Her victory itself was not that surprising since she entered the tournament as the No. 1 wrestler in her weight class. Hutchinson finished the season with a 45-4 record.

7. Equestrianism: Ankie van Grunsven at the 2000, 2004 and 2008 Olympic Games.

Equestrian sport is one of two Olympic sports in which men and women compete against each other on equal terms. A girl from the Netherlands named Anky van Grunsven managed to win gold at the Olympic Games three times in a row (2000, 2004, 2008). Even more amazingly, van Grunsven won her second gold medal in 2004 in Athens while she was pregnant with her first child. She gave birth to a child that same year, and in subsequent years increased the number of her Olympic medals. To date, she has 3 gold, 5 silver and 1 bronze medals in seven consecutive Olympic Games.

8. Auto racing: Danica Patrick Indy300 in Japan 2008

By the time Danica Patrick was named Rookie of the Year at the 2005 Indianapolis 500, the racing world knew the woman was already a champion of sorts. However, it took several more years for the Wisconsin-born American to finally reach incredible heights. This happened on April 20, 2008 at the Indy300 in Japan. She finished five seconds ahead of Hélio Castroneves. Danica became the first woman to win an IndyCar race.

9. Tennis: Billie Jean King defeated Bobby Riggs at Battle of the Sexes 1973

Before his retirement in 1951, Bobby Riggs was considered one of the best tennis players in the world with his six major titles. He was also recognized as the number 1 tennis player for three years, this happened in 1939, 1946, 1947. However, even after Riggs stopped playing, he continued to remain in the spotlight, promoting the sport and emphasizing the progress of the sport. But one “cockroach” did not leave his head. All his life he believed that in tennis a man would always be much more successful than a woman. And at 55 years old, he said he could beat any top female player. He was able to prove his words by beating Margaret Court, then the No. 1 tennis player, in a match that took place on May 13, 1973. However, Billie Jean King, another top female player, caused Riggs to change his mind by beating him 6-4, 6-3, 6-3 on September 20, 1973. But not everyone was so positive about King's victory, since she was 26 years old. younger than Riggs and it was also speculated that Riggs deliberately lost the match in order to deal with his gambling debts.

Boxing in the life of Tatyana Dvazhdova is not the only activity that is considered more masculine than feminine: Dvazhdova worked as a loader and a laborer, and participated in kick-offs - fights between football fans.

Tatyana agreed to talk with me, although the interest of the Cosmo columnist surprised her, and also answered questions about why she enters the ring under a man’s name, what she considers femininity and whether men behave like gentlemen at competitions.

— How long do you train now?

“Now I’ve gone to the second gym and try to train six days a week. But so far, due to an injury (broken finger) and back problems, I have only been able to stay in this mode for two weeks. But I know that I shouldn’t lose, and therefore I will try to stick to this schedule.

Popular

- You are very different from most women - here you participate in scoring, and enter the ring with men, and work as a loader. Male sports, male professions... Do you have traits that you consider feminine?

— Femininity is strength and military honor. For me, a real woman is a warrior and a fighter, so I still need to strive to become a real woman, but I’m on the right path, I’m just following my nature. I could have lived the same life as most women if I had not realized in time: what is imposed means nothing.

— Women who want to engage in boxing and other contact martial arts are scared of injuries. Are there really many of them?

— Yes, I had injuries: broken ribs, nose, fingers, chipped teeth, various bruises and sprains. But this is not the case for everyone; someone can study for ten years and not break anything. The most serious injuries I received were outside the ring, “on the street.”

— Now you are trying to enter competitions using your documents. It turns out?

“After my confession appeared in the media that I presented myself as a man and fought in the men’s category, many organizers became even more aggressive towards me and prevented my appearance at competitions. In September, I was already rejected by two open rings, once they said that they would decide on the spot whether to admit me or not - I think, just to avoid a scandal. When I arrived, they said that there were no opponents in my weight (the most common, by the way, is 69 kg), but I saw a participant who was clearly in my weight category, went up to him, and he said that he had a pair. I approached the organizer - he promised that he would stage the second fight with me as the last pair, but it was already clear that it would not take place. This is a common technique when they stop a scandal by making you wait for the end of the competition, when all the people have already left.

The same "drain" scheme was used again in September at another competition, and what surprises me most is that the president of this league is a woman. They asked me rhetorical questions about why I came here, then again they said that I was on the list and that my fight was the last. When the closing of the competition and the award ceremony had already been announced, I found out that my opponent was matched with some other girl, and not in an equal fight, but in sparring outside the competition format after all the “normal” participants. I would be happy for her and would support her if it didn’t look like another mockery of women. When we were about to leave, one of the judges came up to me and advised me to fight in the street, because they wouldn’t allow that here.

— Speaking about your participation in competitions, you characterize what is happening to you now as “bullying.” What is it about?

— Because of a good life, no one will falsify documents and pretend to be a man; some women in Arab countries take such measures, where they are not considered human beings at all.

They started treating me with hatred in sports from the very beginning. The system did not anticipate the emergence of a woman like me. The stronger the opposition, the greater the pressure will be applied. When I said in the hall where I came for sparring that I wanted to compete with everyone and did not consider the existing rules to be justified, they put me with a man 15 kg heavier, a titled athlete, and told me to “knock the crap out of me.” When I came with the fight club to an officially sanctioned wall fight at the festival, they literally dragged me out of there, and those who came with me just stood and filmed it.

Male and female categories in sports are not a formality; this directly humiliates women and reflects the attitude towards them as those who are not able to compete with men. Women's sports are presented under the guise of freedom and accessibility, but in reality it is ordinary segregation, the same as the separate education that once existed.

I'm currently putting a lot of effort into trying to achieve performances and withstand the pressure that is put on me. I know that this is my destiny, I can’t just give up everything, no matter how hard life is. If I don’t influence the situation now, future generations will not forgive me for this. For a man to fight a woman is like stepping into the mud, “sinking to her level,” and this needs to change. I receive a lot of threats in the mail because I allegedly speak badly about sports, but I will not say what is customary. If the existing injustice is based on some rules and documents, then such rules should not exist.

— During a discussion at the St. Petersburg Sports Forum, one of the speakers said that if men fight with women, then, like gentlemen, they will give in and lose. How did your competitors, who knew that you were a woman, behave during training and competitions?

— Men beat women even without any sporting competitions and decide for themselves who can be considered a woman and who cannot, and here everything depends not on the woman, but on the man’s desire to hit — this is evidenced by the level of domestic and street violence. So this in itself is a very hypocritical expression.

As for sports, this is an ordinary boycott, not gentlemanliness, a desire to elevate oneself at the expense of another in a socially approved form. Such behavior towards a representative, for example, of a different nationality would be regarded as disrespectful and, most likely, the person who does this would be removed from the competition. Passive combat is generally a violation of the rules.

As for me, I train with decent people, they don’t behave like that. It happens that, let’s say, I’m working on something, and a higher-level person is simply defending himself - this is a normal working moment by agreement. But there were a couple of cases when in sparring or during some training sessions people tried to behave disrespectfully. I didn’t start jumping in front of them, proving something, I just transferred boxing to MMA until we were separated. After being kicked in the head or hit in the legs, they came to their senses.

— How did others react when you said that you wanted to fight men? Coach, are the other athletes you trained with friends?

“Everyone knows that I am engaged in a revolutionary struggle against the sports system. I don’t even communicate with those who don’t support me, and such people disappeared from the environment by themselves. My coaches are a gift from fate. They are an example and a standard for me, I am immensely grateful to them for their support. This is real strength and character - not to step aside, even when everything is against us, to support not in words, but in deeds.

— Do you know anything about the reaction of your rivals who found out that they had fought with a woman? Or did no one ever find out?

- No, I don’t know anything about this. But I want to wish them good luck and success, they are worthy opponents, everything will be fine for them.

— When we agreed on the interview, you said that Cosmo was not your audience. Who is yours?

— My audience is, first of all, those who can influence something. These are athletes, sports officials and heads of sports organizations. But I am very glad that more and more people, even those far from sports, understand the absurdity and injustice of the system. This will bear fruit in a few years, because already now many women and young girls write to me that they started playing sports after reading an article about me. And, of course, my audience is future generations, because someday sports will no longer be divided into men’s and women’s.

—Have you had any fights with women?

“I’m always all for standing in training for experience, just like with any other person.” But as such, female competition has no meaning as long as it is segregated.

— Do the women you currently train share your point of view? Do they also want to get into the ring with men?

“I mostly train complete beginners, and it’s too early for them to think about entering the ring. And so, of course, they divide, and in general, my loved ones no longer have the strength to see what is happening.

“Sport is a system that has evolved over decades and is extremely conservative. The prescribed rules assume that men and women compete separately. What do you think can reverse this system? Whose actions and what exactly?

— First of all, the athletes themselves, who should no longer be satisfied with this. I believe that someday they will decide to refuse to participate in what is offered to them and will decide to fight for what they want, dare to declare their real capabilities, and force others to reckon with themselves. I also count on the support of men: fair sport is a general concept. It will not be possible to remove categories at once; a lot depends on this, including money. At this stage, the opportunity to officially fight in the men's category is necessary.

— Do you know other athletes who also think that it’s time to stop dividing sports into men’s and women’s?

— Adult women, over 40 years old, already former athletes, wrote to me that they really believe that I will succeed, that they have been waiting for this all their lives. I promised not to let them down.

— There is a possibility that if gender divisions are abandoned, women will disappear from some sports — for example, from weightlifting. What do you think about it?

— People often ask me about weightlifting and powerlifting, but I don’t understand what’s wrong with them - these are sports like any other. I reject any idea that a woman is an inferior person with a disability. Women have been in sports for less than a century, and their level is literally growing every month. They have enormous, not even half-exploited potential. In general, I think that everything is simple and obvious: if you are ready for competitions, you go to them, if you are not ready, you don’t go. I am always for the truth - honestly and honorably giving a person a title for a real achievement, and not for a low standard.

I also asked several famous athletes the question of whether sports should be made common and what consequences this could lead to.

Konstantin Lysenko, three-time champion of Eastern Europe in Shotokan karate, champion of Russia in professional kickboxing, champion of Eurasia, champion of Europe, vice-world champion and winner of the World Cup in kickboxing, vice-president of the Federation for the Promotion of Knife Fighting of Russia (FNBR):

“As for my view on the question, it is the following: on the one hand, it is simply stupid to deny the physiological difference between men and women - it objectively exists, so I think the division of sports into male and female is correct.

On the other hand, if we postulate equality of women and men, then the natural consequence will be to allow such equality in sports. I think the emergence of a third direction is justified: something like transgender competitions, where everyone will compete regardless of gender.

As for me personally, I have an idea of masculine and feminine, I would not want to change it. I wouldn't like to fight with women, I'd rather love them. In my opinion, this does not degrade a woman and does not make her an exclusively sexual object. This posits a difference that is normative and natural, in my opinion.”

Pavel Boronov, European fencing champion:

“I’m generally against all this, to be honest. This is wrong from all sides, during training we fencing with girls just for fun. I have a very negative attitude towards this.”

Fights between a woman and a man in real life look absurd. To encounter a man and woman fighting on the street is unrealistic. Of course, somewhere on the outskirts of the city or in the village between each other.
Walking through the train carriage, a pretty dark-skinned girl attracted the attention of a dark-skinned Chinese man. Or rather, his gaze fell on a decent circle below the back and his hand spontaneously slapped the young lady on the butt. The girl turned out to be not a timid girl and with a roundhouse she gave the boor a couple of slaps in the face. The peasant did not expect such a daring answer, he cowered, tucked his tail and whined something inaudible. Then they got off at the station and continued the fight, one Chinese man with two plump, fat-assed black women.

Fights between women and men! In one of the Asian countries, most likely in China, people in the evening, sitting at their homes, peacefully watched as a husband and wife sorted out their relationship with the help of fists. For six minutes they fought on equal terms, although the woman sometimes adjusted her thong from behind, probably digging into her butt when she kicked her in the body. In general, Asia is famous for its equality!

Fights between women and men! It’s interesting what led to such an analysis, when three girls attack three guys, and even shoes were used out of desperation. The men really didn’t hit the women in the face, but they tried to grab everyone by the hair and throw them on the asphalt. Cruelty is welcomed in the states. In Russia, such treatment of women was not observed.

Fight at Remix in Yakutsk. A crowd of tipsy men quietly and silently watched as the girl, who had taken a certain amount of alcohol on her chest, harassed the guy with slaps and blows to the face. Probably everyone already knew her harmful character after drinking alcohol and no one tried to reason with her, only one comrade knocked out the brawler with a blow to the jaw.

The police and the owner of a restaurant in China unceremoniously deal with the offending employee. Fearing that she will be sent to prison, she only verbally responds to blows to the face and body.

The owner of the gym staged a demonstration performance to raise funds for a trip to Rio 2016. He invited US Olympic champion Danyelle Wolf as a sparring partner, who did not give him a chance to survive sharp blows and be knocked out. Fights between women and men!

In the city of Atyrau, a driver recorded an unusual fight on the roadway on a video recorder. Four pretty girls were leaving the restaurant cheerfully, unexpectedly one of the ladies was hit on the shoulder by a passing guy, perhaps accidentally, or maybe intentionally, unable to tolerate such rudeness, they decided to beat the offender. Fists and nails were used, but not everyone can endure a bottle of champagne to the head. So the women's table fun gradually passed under the article of hooliganism. The man turned out to be the victim.

An enraged black man in the store shouted and threatened at his fat companion, “How much can you eat, look at me how thin I am, and you can’t walk through the door anymore.” Suddenly he slapped her and it was his mistake! With a mass of 180 kilograms, she crushed his chest and delivered several crushing blows from which he fell silent.

In Severodvinsk, where it was cold and hungry, a woman decided to warm up both internally and emotionally by grabbing a strong drink from the shelf and a couple of loaves of sausage for a snack. But the valiant security guard of the Petrovsky store stood in the way of the unlucky thief. Where a stunning, in the literal sense of the word, fight between a man and a woman began.

In one of the densely populated cities of China, on a busy street, two women, perhaps a mother and daughter, or a wife and mistress, were beating a man. One was pulling him by the hair, the other was “cleaning” the careless man’s back with a tangerine box. The fight reached its climax when the infidel's underpants were torn to shreds. And the man turned off the fat Chinese woman with a chair.

A lesson in what a real man should not do, or rather the boy whose boy was beaten by a girl. A man is always right and must stand up for his rights to be on top!

The man's brutal blows knocked out the woman! Probably the Caucasian elder did not like the words of an inveterate prostitute, watch and draw conclusions on how not to talk to respectable people.

A woman fights with a man from a Brazilian film over a handbag. Guess what's in the purse yourself or watch the movie!

A real fight between a boy and a girl, she even managed to give him a hard time, for some reason the fat girlfriends were in favor of the boy!

A selection of classic showdowns between girls and boys of American colleges, the “girls” start and lose!

The ten best fight scenes from films where a woman was able to give a worthy rebuff to almighty men.

In a Chinese restaurant, five girlfriends beat up one who was not submissive, a man came and swept away the whole bunch!

Fights between women and men in India! The wife saw that her husband had been punched in the face and, like a punter, grabbed the offender’s T-shirt, threw him onto the asphalt and began methodically hitting his spine and head with a woman’s fist. The police arrived in time to calm the brawlers and disperse the stopped onlookers.

The operator is hysterical! Turn off the camera, call the police yourself and coordinate where he's going if you want. Why should others call? How can they even explain that? Moreover, the operator is complete crap! And the drunken chickens themselves pulled at the man.

Girls learn karate, then you won’t be afraid of even a half-drunk gopnik.

The lady teaches her boyfriend with slaps and punches that he is her personal henpecked man and no one else.

There are still a lot of “women” in Rus' who can knock two semi-strong guys into “shit” with two blows.

Fights between women and men! Family showdown at the entrance of your own home! The husband came home from “WATCH” with food and drinks, and his wife asked, “What’s wrong?” and it went crazy!
