What you need to know about the base and top coat of nails. What you need to know about the base and top coat of nails. Is it necessary to apply foundation after the corrector?

When planning to make shellac at home themselves, women, of course, first of all strive to save money. In any case, such a procedure will be much cheaper than a salon procedure, but you can feel this only after some time, and not immediately.

After all, in order to make even the simplest manicure with a single-color shellac coating, you need to purchase a number of components, without which you simply cannot do this.

Often, women who try to cover their nails with gel polish on their own mistakenly believe that a basic set for shellac includes only the gel polish itself of a certain color (or several) and an ultraviolet lamp. But with all the desire for savings, one should not forget about two more important components - shellac base and top.

To an inexperienced person, it may seem that buying these things is simply throwing money away. However, without a base and finishing (top) coating, there is no point in doing a shellac manicure at all, otherwise it will last just as long as regular varnish, and the waste of common money and effort will be in vain.

It is worth noting

These components of the procedure play a very important role - they protect the main, colored coating from all kinds of negative impact. For example, the base coat ensures good adhesion of the varnish and also protects the nail plate itself from staining. When colored shellac is applied to the base, it adheres firmly and ultimately will not crack, peel, or break off.

As for the top (or finishing coating), it is a kind of shield from the entire aggressive environment in which they somehow find themselves. female hands. Washing powder, dishwashing detergent and even ordinary water act on gel polish with enormous destructive force. The strength and durability, thanks to which shellac has become so popular, is largely achieved precisely thanks to the notorious “finish”. The topcoat also prevents color fading.

Shellac base and top are the basis of a manicure that uses gel polish. They create a protective shell of colored polish on both sides, bottom and top, closing the circle at the tip of the nail. Be sure to brush along the edge of the nail to secure the desired effect.

When to apply top shellac and how to do it correctly

If the shellac application technology was performed correctly, the varnish will last a long time regardless of external influences. Top shellac, which experts also call the topcoat or “finish”, performs exactly this function.

It should be applied at the very end of the manicure, that is, after this, the nails are sent to an ultraviolet lamp and, after two minutes, lubricated with cream or oil (in order to avoid drying out the skin around nail plate).

According to the technique of applying shellac, nothing is drawn, painted or glued onto the top, with the rare exception of large rhinestones, for which the “finish” serves as an adhesive base. If large rhinestones are varnished, it will look untidy. In other cases, the rule remains unchanged.

It is worth noting

When applying the top, it is worth considering that this layer of shellac may be thicker than the previous ones, but not much. The coating should be smooth, without bumps, and if something accidentally gets on the brush or nail plate, it is better to wash off the shellac top and apply again. Otherwise, the manicure may look sloppy or even fall apart when in contact with water or aggressive detergents.

The important thing to remember about sealing is the process of running a brush along the very tip of the nail and applying a little polish to the back of the nail (underneath). A thin layer on the edge of the nail plate seals the main manicure, thus ensuring its integrity and safety. Special attention It’s worth paying attention to covering the edges of the nail near the cuticle with topcoat - if you don’t brush it with topcoat there, then after a couple of days the unprotected varnish at the edges will begin to crack and chip off.

After the top shellac has been applied according to all the described rules, you need to put your nails in the lamp for two minutes. During this procedure, the surface of the nails may be a little sticky - this unpleasant detail can be easily removed with a cotton swab and nail polish remover. You just need to lightly swipe it over each nail (there is no need to fix the result again with a UV lamp). Now all that remains is to moisturize the skin around the nails and enjoy the result.

When to apply shellac base and how to do it correctly

The name of this component of the shellac application procedure speaks for itself. The shellac base is the basis on which all subsequent layers of varnish are held, and if you neglect the rules for applying it, you can ruin the entire manicure as a whole.

In order for shellac to stay on your nails for a long time and be pleasing to the eye, you should carefully prepare the nail plate for applying the base. Good soil will allow the base to lie flat on the nail and adhere firmly to it, and this, accordingly, will ensure the reliability of subsequent layers of shellac.

In order for the shellac base to adhere well to the nail plate, it should be carefully treated with files and a buffer. Buff is a large file with very fine abrasiveness that removes the shine of the nail and helps prepare the right ground for good adhesion. In hard-to-reach places where the nail plate cannot be treated with a buff, you can use a nail file (this is usually in the areas along the edges of the nail, closer to the skin). After this, the nail is degreased with a special substance, and when it dries, you can apply the base.

After applying the base, the nails are sent to an ultraviolet lamp, and after this the main color can be applied. Shellac has a very rich palette of colors; in addition, you can additionally decorate your manicure with sparkles, rhinestones, patterns, and so on - it all depends on your taste and imagination.

1. Makeup remover

Always: first remove makeup, then wash your face, and never vice versa!

2. Foam or gel for washing

When you are sure that you have completely removed your makeup, wash your face with a special cleanser to finally get rid of all impurities and - attention - any remaining makeup remover.

3. Tonic

It’s better to have an exfoliating effect to further cleanse the skin surface of dead cells. But in any case, it is the toner that will restore the pH balance of the skin and prepare it for applying the cream.

4. Special means

Right now, at this stage, is the time to apply a spot treatment for acne, anti-aging concentrate and any other products with a special effect.

5. Moisturizer

When the serum or concentrate has been absorbed (or if this stage was not relevant for you at all), apply the moisturizer with patting movements, from the center to the periphery, from bottom to top.

6. Sunscreen with a chemical filter

Even in winter, even at night, even if you plan to sit indoors all day. Solar radiation is invisible and can be reflected from surfaces, so never neglect a cream with an SPF factor. Even if your decorative cosmetics contain it. The only exception is if you have allergies, then look at point 9 in more detail.

7. Eye cream

Surprised? However, eye cream is not applied at the same time as face cream. Because not everyone needs it. If at this point the skin around the eyes is tight and feels discomfort, apply. If not, most likely your skin has enough moisture as it is.

8. Facial oil

Not everyone uses it, but if you are one of the chosen ones, apply the oil as the last step in moisturizing your skin to form a barrier that will protect it from moisture loss.

9. Mineral sunscreen

For allergy sufferers, mineral Sanskrin is better suited, which, unlike chemical ones, is applied after all moisturizing products. Otherwise the rules are the same: always, everywhere.

10. Foundation

Finally, on to the makeup: If you're wearing foundation, now is your foundation time!

Strictly speaking, the first stage of makeup should always be cleansing. As a rule, makeup artists prepare the face using toner or micellar water with low-active surfactants (surfactants). If you wash your face with foam or gel before applying makeup, there will be slight irritation, and the acid-base balance of the skin will be disrupted. Therefore, even if you wash your face with your usual cleanser, you should definitely treat your skin with a toner before applying makeup (it should not contain alcohol!) to restore balance. What should be the order of applying makeup after cleansing? Remember the main steps.

To ensure that your eye tone and makeup lasts as long as possible, use a primer. If you have dry skin, opt for a moisturizing makeup base (such as Lancôme's La Base Pro Hydraglow) to oily skin A cream primer or a lotion primer is more suitable (read how they differ).

© site

A silicone primer would also be an excellent option; it is not recommended to be used only by girls with sensitive skin or acne-prone skin.

For the eyelids and area around the eyes, use a separate primer: the skin in this area is thinner and more delicate, the product should have a more gentle formula.

Special eyelid primers are produced, for example, by the Urban Decay brand. If you need to remove redness or hide a yellowish tint to your skin, use colored primers to correct your complexion.

Distribute the usual Foundation, mousse or with a brush if you want to achieve a denser coverage. Otherwise, apply the product with a sponge or fingertips, using circular massage movements, being careful not to stretch the skin.

Remember that when applying foundation, the main thing is shading; pay sufficient attention to this process. More details in our video tutorial.

One of the most common makeup misconceptions is that concealer should be applied before foundation. In fact, you need to do exactly the opposite: after you have distributed and properly shaded the foundation, let it “settle” on the skin a little and start applying concealer.

Apply it in an inverted triangle shape for the most natural look possible. We have collected everything you need to know about choosing, applying and using concealer in this material.

To create the effect of tanned skin, add bronzer to those areas that receive the sun's rays first: the top and sides of the forehead, cheekbones, tip of the nose, chin. Or try to resort to the “rule of three”: draw the number three on both sides of the face so that the cheekbone is right in the middle of the “three”, and blend it.

© site

Bronzer is also useful if you want: not so long ago this was considered one of the makeup mistakes, today this approach is even trendy! Liquid bronzer is easiest to apply (and the hardest to overdo), cream bronzer is suitable for dry skin and will help smooth out uneven skin, and powder bronzer is best used only if you are confident in your abilities: handling it requires some skill.

If you're not sure which shade of blush to choose, opt for a little more bright color from those presented. But don’t overdo it so as not to get an “allergic” blush.

Our video tutorial clearly shows how to apply blush correctly.

According to classic scheme makeup, powder must be used after applying cream products and before using dry ones, but today makeup products of various textures can be easily shaded without prior “powdering”. Therefore, powder is increasingly used as a final touch, so as not to overload makeup. If you have oily skin, choose an option that is a shade lighter than your skin tone.

© site

Compact powder is more suitable for you, as it does a better job of mattifying the skin. If you have dry skin, you can skip this stage of makeup: there is a risk that the powder will dry out the skin even more. Can't decide which powder is better to choose - compact or loose? to help you.

After you have mastered the tone, you can move on to eye and lip makeup: look for step-by-step photo instructions and.

  • Tip: if you plan to do bright makeup eyes (for example), makeup artists advise starting with this stage, and only then moving on to applying the tone.

Looking at the precise movements of the master in the salon, everything seems simple. We remove the cuticles, file the nails, consistently apply the required coatings and dry it all in a lamp. Gel polish manicure is ready!

The utopian perception leads to the decision to take care of their nails themselves, and women buy everything they need for a shellac manicure.

Disappointment sets in almost immediately: the compositions refuse to go on smoothly, the nails remain bald, and the designs don’t turn out well.

It's too early to get upset! There are many nuances in a gel polish manicure, but knowing about them, you can create the perfect finish. Where does the path to perfection begin?

The first difficulties arise with the base. This simple manicure layer often causes a lot of frustration for beginners. Why gel polish base does not apply evenly? What are the difficulties?

Most often the problem lies in the degreaser. When using a gentle fresher or its alcohol analogues, particles of moisture and fat remain on the nails, and this creates bald spots when applying the base. Changing the composition solves the problem.

Smooth application of the base is possible by following several rules:

  • Excellent nail preparation - best with a manicure machine

Few beginners know that on wet nails after trim manicure The gel polish doesn't last very well. Do not apply gel polish after nail polish removers or products with oils.

The task of hygienic manicure is not just to give the nails the desired shape, but also;

  1. remove scales from the split tip - the edge of the nail should be perfectly smooth;
  2. slightly remove the top glossy layer from the nail plate and the old “absorbed” coatings;
  3. gently remove the cuticle skin and the pterygium underneath;
  4. remove dead cells from the side ridges.

The biggest danger at this stage is not being able to polish the nail. Here are two tips: when using cutters, position them along the nail and work without pressure, and when choosing a buff, avoid a hardness of more than 240 grit.

  • Degreasing and “priming”

Auxiliary products will not only clean the surface of the nail from invisible particles of dust and grease, but will also increase the adhesion of the nail plate to the base. First use a dehydrator, then an acid-free primer.

  • Correct application of base

The main secret is that the base should not get on the skin. But where the color will subsequently be applied, a base is needed. According to the primary classical scheme, the base is applied to the nails in a thin, thin layer.

Also, beginners should remember that the base spreads when drying, and leave a small distance to the skin.

In the new format, masters prefer to apply the base in a thicker layer, but not too thick: to level the nail plate and provide a high-quality base for the subsequent layering of gel polish.

  • Sealing the nail

The brush is placed vertically and the cut is covered with a thin layer of base.

  • Polymerization

Base coated nails are placed under a UV lamp for 60 seconds. If the lamp is LED, then for 10-30 seconds. In order for the base to set in an even layer, you need to dry either one finger at a time, or first 4, and then the thumb separately.

What to do if gel polish does not apply evenly

Gel polish does not apply evenly - a typical problem for beginners.

The reasons may be the following:

  1. Shellac is of poor quality - it is better to use formulations from trusted manufacturers;
  2. Unlucky color in the collection - in almost any brand of gel polishes you can find a couple of unsuccessful bottles in the collection, why this happens is not clear, but the gel polish can streak and you will have to apply additional layers
  3. The pigment has sank to the bottom - roll the bottle in your palms, but do not shake;
  4. An unevenly applied base can be corrected with a properly applied coating;
  5. A UV lamp is turned on nearby - the composition spontaneously polymerizes, hardening in waves;
  6. Gel polish is not applied correctly.

The last point will be eliminated or very good master classes from the pros, or strictly follow the advice below:

  1. You need a little shellac. Exactly as long as the brush “holds”. If the composition tries to drain, carefully remove the excess on the edge of the bottle.
  2. Gel polish is applied by “stretching” the drop. Not with three strokes, as in a regular manicure, but with a large drop, which is carefully stretched with a brush in all directions - under the cuticle, on the sides, to the cut of the nail. Gel polish does not dry out spontaneously, and you can work slowly.
  3. Three thin layers are better than one or two thick ones. It is the thick layers that cause bubbles and waves on the gel polish when drying.
  4. Seal the edge of the nail during the last applied layer - with light movements of the brush along the cut.
  5. Dry for sufficient time. In a UV lamp 120 seconds, in an LED lamp 30 seconds.
  6. Remove the sticky layer with special degreasing compounds, and not with alcohol or acetone-containing liquids. Violation of this rule can lead to any unpredictable consequences - up to a change in the color of the shellac or the appearance of bald spots on it.

If bald spots appear during the process of applying gel polish, there is no need to be alarmed: the second or third layer will solve this problem.

Peeling or chipping of the coating is rare and is either a consequence of using a base/gel polish/top coat from different manufacturers, or ignoring the correct manicure and primer at the preparatory stage of work.

How to apply gel polish evenly at the cuticle

There are no particular difficulties here.

When working you need:

  1. Pull back and fix the cuticle with your finger when applying gel polish;
  2. Hold the brush at an angle of 45 when painting in the cuticle area;
  3. For the cuticle, apply the first and second layers with an almost dry brush;
  4. If it doesn’t work out, take a thin brush and first paint at the cuticle, then proceed with a regular brush;
  5. Distribute gel polish by stretching, not by strokes;
  6. Do not hurry.

If all manipulations are performed correctly, even the first time you will be able to apply gel polish butt to the cuticle.

Hi all!
You are familiar with this situation - you look at yourself in the mirror, and there again they show a horror film. Not only are the circles under the eyes and a pigment spot on the cheek spoiling the impression, but a pimple has also appeared on the chin. You come to the store for concealment products, you stand at the shelves packed to the top, but you don’t know what and for what.
So I’m tired of “sweating” about this. I decided to make a little cheat sheet for myself.
Concealers currently come in 3 types: liquid, creamy and in the form of a concealing pencil. Now about each separately.
Concealer pencil

Available in the form of pencils and lipsticks. Most convenient to use, because no additional devices in the form of brushes are needed. It is not recommended to apply to the skin of the eyelids, because... very thick consistency, difficult to shade, “hides” in wrinkles, emphasizing them even more. An indispensable thing for masking age spots, acne, scars, vascular network, birthmarks. Usually applied before foundation.
Creamy concealers

Very delicate, with a thick, oily, mousse-like texture that blends well without clumping into creases. The density is slightly lower than that of a concealer pencil. Perfect for large camouflage areas. Perfectly masks red veins, circles under the eyes, rough skin.
Liquid concealers

Usually sold in the form of a “felt-tip pen” or in a tube with a brush/sponge. It applies very softly and blends easily without stretching the skin. They have a very weak degree of camouflage. Suitable for masking light blue under the eyes, lightening/evening out the tone. Apply after foundation.
We've sorted out the consistency, let's move on to color:

Green- to disguise redness, pimples, blood vessels, bruises, too bright blush
Yellow- to disguise scars, age spots, purple circles under the eyes, bruises
Violet- for masking blue circles under the eyes, age spots, yellow bruises
Pink- brightens the skin of the face, disguises circles under the eyes
White- to highlight individual areas/highlighter, apply UNDER the foundation, highlighting dark spots, freckles.
This is probably worth adding too:
Green neutralizes red; purple-yellow; pink-gray, yellow; orange-blue.
Now we are fully armed and can hide what strangers do not need to see. Stay always beautiful.

Opinion: Liquid corrector for spot concealing imperfections. The texture is dense, but completely imperceptible on the skin, the texture is matte, suitable for masking dark circles under the eyes, as well as for redness and pimples due to its light shade and dense coverage. Contains reflective particles, so it looks great in photos! It spreads easily over the skin, does not roll off, completely merges with it, and in several layers it also remains invisible - I apply it with my fingers or a brush. With a brush, of course, it turns out thinner. But it is not suitable for dry eyelid skin or skin with flaking - it will highlight them, although it will not dry out the skin. It will be good for normal and oily skin. I have oily skin (shine appears 15 minutes after applying a mattifying product, I have to touch up my makeup every hour), so by the evening my pimple may rub off a little and swim into the folds on my lower eyelid. But when touching up makeup with mattifying wipes and powder, it remains in place and does not rub off. Within about 6 hours of wear without touch-ups (I mean eyelids) it behaves perfectly on my skin! Plus the color was perfect for my cold weather. light skin with a yellowish-greenish undertone - it does not have pink or warm peach pigment. The smell is very light, powdery, you can't feel it after application. An additional plus of the Seventeen brand is that their cosmetics are not tested on animals, this is important to me.

Tell me what is better to apply first - concealer or foundation?..

does it somehow depend on the type of corrector?.. (I have Touch Eclat from YSL)
or do you not need to use foundation at all when using a concealer?.. or is it better with powder?.. in general, I will be grateful for a short educational program =))

Before everything, you can apply a base - this is a colorless emulsion, like a face cream - it evens out and protects the skin.
First, foundation, then in problem areas, apply corrector using patting movements!
You can set it with powder - light texture and preferably loose - it is better to apply it with a brush.
The properties of the corrector are thorough camouflage of problem areas, it has a denser texture than toner, so it is applied to selected areas, and toner is used on the entire face.
Toner and powder are interchangeable.
For dry skin it is better to use foundation, for oily skin it is better to use powder.
Powder is the least burdensome on the skin, it is less cuprous.
In any case, it is better not to use it when possible,
decorative cosmetics, give the skin a rest.
Because no matter what the manufacturers of decorative cosmetics come up with about the different components included in the composition, it is alien to the skin and burdens it.
This can be seen in the example of people who constantly use tone on their face - over time, they can no longer do without it!

Elena Enes

The corrector is used if you need to disguise circles under the eyes or a pimple; if this is not the case, then a moisturizer and foundation are enough. and if you use a corrector, then apply it separately and only powder is used in these places where the corrector is applied, i.e. apply foundation everywhere except those places where the corrector will be used.

From one site:
“The concealer is applied after the moisturizer to problem areas in a thin layer, and on top is a makeup base or powder. But in some cases, a good effect is obtained when applying concealer on top of foundation or foundation.”

First a corrector, then a foundation, then a corrector again. Powder on top for matte finish. And blush, preferably. Then the unevenness on the skin will be less noticeable. When I was a teenager, this was the only way I could save myself...

Shhhhhhhh

Now I’ll tell you the technique ----- from start to finish!!! !

It is better to apply any foundation with brushes rather than sponges - it is the brush that will “take” exactly as much tone as necessary; The sponge often “sorts” and absorbs a lot of excess product.
When applied with a brush, the border between tone and skin becomes completely invisible. The foundation layer itself is thinner, which means it looks more natural.

Concealer under the eyes is very convenient to apply with a brush. cat. we apply the shadow It is very soft and will not hurt delicate skin under the eyes. You can also use it around your nose to disguise pimples and all sorts of skin imperfections.
First of all, when applied with a brush, the border between tone and skin becomes completely invisible. The foundation layer itself is thinner, which means it looks more natural
and now more specifically - in prof. my makeup. To make your face look perfect I use corrector, concealer, compact tone, bronzer, blush, shimmer, lip pencil, lip gloss, eye shadow in 2-3 colors, eyeliner, mascara, eyebrow pencil
First, apply appropriate moisturizing creams to the face and under the eyes, and balm to the lips.
Then under the eyes, up to the very edge of the eyelashes and not forgetting the outer corner (it is often dark, and due to this the eye “drops”), apply a corrector (not to be confused with concealer!). After the corrector, concealer is placed there, under the eyes, but not under the eyelashes, but lower, along the bone. It is needed to “sew” the pink spot of the corrector with the overall skin tone. If necessary, the corrector is also applied to spot defects on the face. Don’t worry, if the cosmetics are of high quality, nothing will get stuck in the folds and wrinkles!! !
The tone is applied next, you can use a compact or a cream... whatever you prefer
After the tone comes bronzer, which is used for correction. it can also be applied to the upper part of the cheekbones, it gives freshness to the face
then blush
then the eyes - shadows, eyeliner (I don’t like clear lines, so I shade them), eyebrows and lips, and at the end I polished all the beauty with shimmer; this gives the face that very wet shimmer that a lot of people are chasing. It is so delicate that you could even wear it to work at the bank.

How is concealer different from foundation?

Elena Savchenkova

Concealer (corrector) is a foundation, but it has greater coloring ability. And with its skillful use, you can refuse foundation, which in itself will give the face greater attractiveness due to its natural appearance. Concealer is applied to critical areas of the entire face in one of two ways. The first way to apply concealer is before applying foundation. The second method is after applying foundation. The concealer is applied to the problem area “spotwise” using an applicator brush (convenient), then beaten into the skin ring finger(in the brush this is the “lightest” finger) and the edges are carefully shaded. It is applied in very small doses, in a thin, thin layer (at least 2 times thinner than foundation). And the area around the eyes definitely needs a product that does not dry, but moisturizes the skin.

Dmitry Sharapov

Concealer - Camouflage products for masking problem areas of the skin of the face and body from bruises, pimples and burst blood vessels to scars and burns. They are used for any type of makeup and are produced by all brands of decorative cosmetics. The masking ability of concealers is achieved due to the high content of special pigments in them, so concealers, unlike foundation creams, are used locally, that is, directly on problem areas, and not on the entire face. They are produced in a wide variety of forms, so their texture, tone and color should be chosen depending on the skin type and the essence of the problem.

eyelid concealer is more delicate, designed for skin with almost zero fat layer (lips, eyes). it is both denser and a little fattier. stew well

The facial concealer and blemish corrector are denser and made easy for spot application

🌹 Appearance 🌹

The concealer comes in a cute cardboard box. of blue color, it is also decorated with golden letters, the combination is very successful, the packaging, in my opinion, is even elegant.

The packaging contains a lot of information about the product: description, method of use, expiration date, from the manufacturer and composition, expiration date, and information about the manufacturer.

Inside the box we are greeted by a felt-tip pen format, to be honest, I’m afraid of such formats, once I had a felt-tip pen concealer, halfway through it just stopped twisting, it was a shame to say the least, there was more than half of the product inside, but I couldn’t get it out. But this concealer turned out to be of better quality. The inscriptions on the felt-tip pen are not erased with time of use and remain in their original form.

The tip is neatly cut, not a single hair sticks out, and when opened for the first time it is white. To get the concealer, you need to twist the bottom of the case, but do it carefully.

🌹 Brush 🌹

Since the manufacturer suggests applying concealer with a brush, you need to stop there. I liked it, it’s even suitable for applying the product under the eyes, it’s not hard and elastic. I blend the concealer out of habit with my fingers.

🌹 Texture 🌹

Quite light, reminiscent of a thin foundation. It’s not for nothing that the product was called CC, which stands for Complete Corection - a means for complete correction. I like that the concealer spreads easily over the skin of the face and the skin around the eyes, as if gliding over it.

🌹 Hue - aroma 🌹

I photographed the concealer on a sunny day near the window, the shade is excellent, light. For white-skinned girls like me it will be optimal. For example, it’s very difficult for me to find such a shade; we usually have dark tones on sale in our stores, and Light ones are always sold out first. The shade can be said to be neutral, I think it will suit the vast majority of girls.

I don’t feel the aroma at all, I think this is correct since we are applying the product to the delicate skin around the eyes and there is no need for fragrance in the product.

🌹 Compound 🌹

I like that the product is paraben-free and contains UV filters.

🌹 Application 🌹

Mode of application: You can apply concealer either directly to the skin or over foundation.1) On clean, prepared skin (or over foundation), apply a small amount of concealer to the areas that you want to hide (pimples, age spots, wrinkles, etc.) . The product is applied pointwise using the convenient built-in brush. 2) Distribute the concealer evenly with your finger or the same brush.

Judging by the manufacturer's description, the concealer is capable of hiding just EVERYTHING. But I use it to cover redness, rashes (if any), and I also really like the concealer for the area around the eyes.

🌹 My impressions 🌹

Evens out skin tone - definitely yes! My “nude” eyelids don’t suit me at all, I have dark skin eyelids itself, and also ugly circles under my eyes, I don’t go out in public without concealer. This concealer makes your eyes look rested, refreshed and clear. The blue under the lower eyelid is well covered.

Corrects complexion - Yes, concealer can disguise redness, wrinkles, minor rashes and redness. I often used it on the wings of my nose to hide the rosacea.

Result: Before - after

Gives skin a healthy glow - yes too. I love the way my skin looks after applying concealer, it glows with health. Moreover, it can be applied both before and after foundation. Both options suit me.

Doesn't fall into folds - what I want to say is that if I have expression lines under my eyes, even the perfect concealer accentuates them a little, so I don’t find fault with this at all, it’s only visible in a macro photo and no one looks at me so closely. This concealer practically does not emphasize creases and does not emphasize flaking on the skin.

Helps reduce wrinkles and reduce pigmentation - The concealer didn’t make me look younger, of course; in general, I think that these are very loud statements. In my opinion, a decorative product cannot reduce wrinkles or reduce pigmentation at all. Another thing is that the concealer contains a UV filter and can protect the delicate skin around the eyes.

Durability - I apply concealer to moisturized skin around my eyes at 7:30 am and it looks great until the end of the working day, which is 18:00. I take off my makeup around 21:00, by which time it may start to slide off, but this is forgivable.

🌸 Advantages 🌸

convenient packaging format

spreads easily over the skin

practically does not fall into folds

gives the skin a healthy glow

evens out skin tone

Can hide redness and dark circles

makes the look fresher and more rested

has good durability

🌸 Flaws 🌸

〤 will not rejuvenate or reduce wrinkles

〤 will not remove pigmentation

〤 too loud promises in my opinion

I really liked it! It suited me perfectly in shade, I liked its light texture and convenient format in the form of a felt-tip pen. But in my opinion, the promises are still too high. It would be better if the manufacturer did not promise an unrealistic transformation of the skin, getting rid of wrinkles, pigmentation, etc. This slightly spoils the impression of such a cool product, and someone may believe the tempting promises and be disappointed. I don’t expect rejuvenation from decorative cosmetics, and it’s still too early for me to rejuvenate, so concealer has become my favorite. I recommend it to those who want to even out their tone, hide redness and circles under the eyes, and not rejuvenate.

Thank you for being with me.
