How to prepare natural shampoo. Natural ingredients to protect hair health

Taking care of our hair, we buy a wide variety of shampoos and care products, without thinking about how much chemicals they contain. Whatever the chemical compound is, it is alien to our biological body. In contrast, homemade shampoo contains only natural ingredients.

In addition, a brand and good advertising do not always mean quality and efficiency. An alternative to chemical liquid can be homemade shampoos. There are many recipes for making your own shampoos. Some add shine, others strength, others saturate the hair with color and nourish. And to create them, only natural ingredients such as herbs and oils are used.

All, without exception, shampoos that we see in stores and even in pharmacies contain the SLS compound (sodium laureate sulfate or sodium lauryl sulfate). This cheap ingredient is able to wash away dirt from the hair, it promotes the distribution and penetration of shampoo into the hair. In its original form, this substance destroys organic tissue, including the structure of the proteins that make up the hair and scalp. Undoubtedly, it is almost completely washed off, along with the particles of dirt stuck to it, with water. But a small part of it gets into the skin and then into the blood. Thus, the chemical accumulates in the body and can cause disease.

According to the results of independent research by Dr. Epstein's Anti-Cancer Coalition, many components of cosmetics are classified as dangerous toxins. Thus, the components contained in shampoos are very aggressive.

Almost all commercial shampoos contain up to 80% chemical compounds, as well as formaldehyde preservatives and parabens. You can easily verify this by reading the composition of the shampoo on the packaging and paying attention to the expiration date. Shelf life of 3, 5 or more years indicates the content of carcinogenic preservatives that can provoke irreversible processes in the body.

Our body is not designed for continuous chemical exposure. And although natural DIY shampoos will not be stored for long and will require time to prepare, the beneficial effects and effects are worth it.

Useful properties of homemade shampoo

Only natural ingredients are used in the production of homemade shampoos. This means they are environmentally friendly and natural for our body and the environment. They do not use any chemicals, which contributes to healthy and beautiful appearance of hair. By making shampoo with our own hands, we can be sure that it consists exclusively of those substances that are acceptable to us. As a rule, all the ingredients for homemade shampoo are affordable and can be found in every housewife’s home, which allows us to experiment.

Absolutely every girl can use homemade shampoos. Such care will transform your hair and make it strong and healthy, enriching it with useful substances. In addition to their beneficial properties, homemade shampoos perfectly cleanse the hair and scalp of impurities.

Shampoo made by yourself cannot be stored for a long time, but this is not a problem, since preparing shampoo at home is very simple and does not take much time. And the benefits from it will not be small. Your hair will take a break from chemicals and remain healthy and strong for a long time. Weakened and lifeless hair will gain natural energy.

Homemade shampoo should match your hair type and scalp. For colored, weakened, dull, dry hair, there should be a shampoo that is significantly different from the shampoo for normal hair.

Homemade shampoo should be made in small quantities (for two, maximum three uses, but better for one). It does not contain preservatives, and therefore cannot be stored for a long time. Over time, the beneficial properties of shampoo are gradually lost.

Homemade shampoo recipes for different hair types

Before making your own shampoo, determine your hair type (dry, oily, normal, dry at the ends and oily at the roots, dyed or damaged).

If you find dandruff, then you should prepare your own anti-dandruff shampoo. To do this, dissolve a drop of rose oil and 5 drops of sage essential oil in a teaspoon of rubbing alcohol. Pour this mixture into 2 egg yolks, beaten with a mixer. The shampoo, which is not inferior in healing and cleaning properties to the best store-bought samples, is ready! Apply in the same way as regular shampoo.

Shampoo made from bread and kefir will help weak and damaged hair. Pour 100 g of kefir into 100 g of black bread chopped into small pieces. Leave in a warm place for a couple of hours. Beat the resulting mass with a mixer. Rinse your hair with it. Store in a cool place for no more than a day.

This mustard shampoo is suitable for all hair types. Mix a large spoonful of mustard with the yolk, add two tablespoons of strong tea. Mix well. Apply for 20 minutes. Rinse off with plenty of water. This procedure helps accelerate hair growth. The shampoo can be stored for no more than three days in a sealed container in a cool place.

Shampoo made from honey and jasmine will nourish. To do this, mix 2 tablespoons of regular shampoo with a tablespoon of jasmine petal decoction. Add a tablespoon of honey. Apply to hair, massage a little and rinse. Can be stored for no more than a month in a dark, not warm place.

Shampoo for all hair types made from white clay will relieve hair loss. Mix 100 g of warm water with 50 g of white clay until the mixture is not liquid and not too thick. Apply to hair and massage well. Rinse off with warm water. Store for no more than two weeks in a closed container.

Dissolve a tablespoon of baking soda in hot water. Add cold water until you reach a comfortable temperature. Apply the solution to damp hair and massage, distributing over the entire length. Rinse and rinse with acidified water. This solution washes hair perfectly.

Choose base oils, essential oils, and herbs for infusions depending on your hair type. The following are considered universal oils: grape seed oil. Essential oils include pine, rose, tea tree, lemon, ylang-ylang, geranium, orange and bergamot oils. Herbs: sage.

For dry hair, jojoba oil. Essential oils – rosemary, myrrh, rose, lavender and jasmine oils. Herbs – coltsfoot, lavender.

For oily hair, grape seed and almond oil. Essential oils: mint, cypress, cedar, grapefruit and basil. Herbs: thyme, mint and burdock.

How to make dry shampoo at home

There is an alternative to washing your hair called “dry brushing”. For example, on the road there is no way to wash your hair with water. Many manufacturers offer dry shampoos. But you can make dry shampoo with your own hands. Remember that this shampoo is perfect for oily hair.

Orris root has excellent fat absorption properties. Use it to prepare dry (solid) shampoo at home. Grind the orris root to a powder. Divide your hair into strands and rub this powder into the roots of your hair. Then comb your hair. Try to comb the powder out of your hair. You can also use almond powder, oatmeal, potato starch or white fuller's clay instead of orris root.

In these ways, we can clean and improve our hair, and also make a feasible contribution to environmental protection without using chemicals that, along with water, end up in the sewer system, and then in the soil and water bodies. We also protect our body from harmful chemical effects.

Please wait...

Hello friends!

I think everyone wants to have thick, strong, shiny and healthy hair so that it grows well and makes you happy every day.

Therefore, I decided to write an article about homemade shampoos, the same ones that you can prepare at home with your own hands.

So, we’ll talk further about the main advantages of homemade shampoos over store-bought hair products and how to prepare them from simple and affordable products...

From this article you will learn:

DIY homemade shampoos

“Why use homemade ones if there is now such a large selection of store-bought shampoos for every taste?”

Many people are surprised to hear that you can wash your hair with homemade shampoos: why, our grandmothers did this?!

And they did the right thing. Now I'll tell you why =)

You've probably already heard that shampoos and other cosmetics sold in stores contain a lot of harmful substances?

As for shampoos specifically, they contain SLS, parabens, and other “chemicals” that harm not only our hair, but also our health in general: these chemicals accumulate in our body and cause diseases, sometimes very serious ones. More details –

When I learned about this information, almost overnight, I gave up the usual store-bought shampoos once and for all, and switched completely to organic and homemade care.

Any natural and organic shampoo is, of course, much better than shampoo with SLS and other troubles. But industrially produced shampoo cannot contain any chemical components AT ALL. That is, organic shampoos are an excellent alternative in this case; I myself love using such shampoos. But homemade shampoos are COMPLETELY natural and harmless. There is a difference, and it is obvious.

Now I combine: I periodically use organic shampoos (to be honest, only because sometimes I’m too lazy to prepare shampoo myself) and homemade ones.

I’ll tell you about my favorite and time-tested homemade hair shampoo below.

And store-bought shampoos are just like that, no matter what the manufacturers say on their packaging: what they nourish, strengthen, moisturize, etc...

From my own many years of experience, I am convinced that nothing takes care of hair as well as products prepared at home with your own hands!

Hair really transforms!

The main benefits of homemade shampoos

If you have any problems with your hair (dandruff, itching, hair loss), then all this can also be solved with the help of homemade hair shampoo.

That is, homemade shampoos are cleansing, treatment, and care - three in one.

There are a huge number of recipes for homemade shampoos and you yourself choose the components that you need, for your hair type and your needs.

You can be creative, experiment and create YOUR OWN shampoo recipes, taking any recipe as a basis and adjusting it to suit you. You can add to it what you consider necessary at this moment for the health of your hair.

And next time, you are already preparing another shampoo, simply adding some other ingredients to it. And you get a different result. This is a huge advantage, don’t you think?

All components for making shampoos are available: many can be ordered online, and many of them are always in your kitchen!

Homemade shampoos are very inexpensive, and this is their big advantage.

We all have different hair types and different needs. And often many people’s hair is also capricious: it lacks one thing, then another... We bought shampoo, washed our hair - everything seems to be ok. But after a couple of times of using it, you realize that no... something is wrong... you don’t like it... you’re not happy with it... Has this ever happened? This happens to me all the time! And then they just stand there, and you don’t know where to “melt” them...

Not everyone can afford to buy so many different organic shampoos, which themselves are not cheap.

And we prepare homemade shampoo for one use, or at most for several times. If you don’t like it, no one forces you, next time we’ll make a different composition, and that’s it.

What is the undoubted “advantage” of such formulations prepared at home: many homemade shampoos are suitable for washing not only hair, but the whole body!

Therefore, I am with both hands “in favor” of knowing how to prepare and use homemade hair shampoos!

I don’t want what I put on my hair while washing my hair to harm me in any way; there are already a lot of harmful things in our lives.

What you need to know about homemade shampoos?

I often see negative reviews about using homemade shampoos.

What can I say? Everything, of course, is individual, and perhaps, having tried a lot of recipes, you still, unfortunately, will not find yours...

And this does not mean that all homemade shampoos are bad. This means that they were not suitable for YOU. Or you haven't found yours yet.

Still, you need to be patient and continue your search.

I tried a lot of different homemade shampoos, and in the end I found the one that was perfect for ME. But I know many for whom it was not suitable.

And many simply do not know some important points, and are disappointed.

From my experience I want to tell you this:

  1. Homemade shampoo should be used immediately after preparation. Use only fresh shampoo - it is much more effective. Some shampoos can be stored in the refrigerator for a short time. But this still reduces their effectiveness.
  2. Homemade shampoo takes some getting used to! After one use, you are unlikely to like the effect, but when the scalp and hair get used to such delicate cleansing, the frequency of hair washing will be reduced. It usually takes a month to get used to, maybe less, maybe longer - everything is individual.
  3. Some homemade shampoos cannot be used constantly. In these cases, simply alternate them with organic store-bought shampoos. Better yet, choose a shampoo recipe that will be simply ideal for your hair. Arrange an experiment for yourself - try all the options and choose for yourself what suits you best. It's interesting, to say the least! And as a maximum, you will have healthy and beautiful hair and zero harm to your health
  4. Homemade shampoo often cannot wash hair as perfectly as store-bought shampoo, since it does so very gently. Especially if your hair is oily. We are accustomed to the fact that we need to wash our hair “until it’s squeaky clean.” This doesn't happen with homemade shampoos. Or rather, they cleanse wonderfully (if you have found exactly “your” recipe), but it feels completely different. It's hard to explain, you just have to try it.

How to wash your hair - homemade shampoo recipes

Girls, I offer you what I tried myself.

I’ll tell you honestly, everything as it is, with all the pros and cons.

Having switched to washing my hair with homemade shampoo, at first my hair simply “didn’t understand the humor” that this was happening... They were used to DIFFERENT things! But I patiently continued my experiment. Did I regret it? Oooh, of course not!

After two or three months of use, I had such a head of beautiful and shiny hair, which, it seems to me, I never had!

Homemade shampoo with baking soda

Not everyone knows that regular baking soda is an excellent substitute for store-bought shampoo.

How does baking soda affect hair?

Soda is an alkali. It removes all the accumulated oil from the hair.

Soda is a mild cleanser WITHOUT ANY IMPURITIES and WITHOUT CHEMICAL ADDITIVES, which are found in huge quantities in shampoos. I'm talking about thickeners, emulsifiers, preservatives, stabilizers, etc.

It will take some time to completely switch to washing your hair with soda: your hair and scalp must adapt and get used to it, so after one or two uses of soda to wash your hair, you will most likely remain dissatisfied.

In order to see the first result, you need to use this method for at least 2 weeks, or even more.

Many of my friends are delighted with this method of washing their hair: they say that now it is enough to wash your hair 1-2 times a week, instead of 3-4.

According to my observations, this method is suitable for those who have oily hair and scalp, and those who wash their hair frequently.

  • How to properly wash your hair with baking soda?

Stir 1-2 tablespoons of baking soda in a glass of warm boiled water, apply the solution to your hair (pay special attention to the scalp). Massage the scalp for 3 minutes and rinse with plenty of warm water.

  • Do I need to use balm?

It's up to you to decide. You can use organic balms, this is a good option.

But, if you want to completely abandon purchased products, then after washing your hair, you should rinse your hair with a solution of water and apple cider vinegar (1-2 tablespoons of vinegar per liter of water, depending on your needs).

Thanks to this, they will be easy to comb and shine.

It is very important to use it, and not its cheap analogue, which is sold in the store. It does not benefit hair. The vinegar must be unfiltered, organic and of high quality.

Pros of homemade shampoo with baking soda:

  • quick preparation: unlike other homemade shampoos, preparing shampoo with soda is not difficult and does not require time,
  • this is one of the most budget-friendly ways to wash your hair: one package of soda will last for a long time,
  • baking soda is absolutely safe and does not cause allergies.

Cons of homemade shampoo with baking soda:

  • long addiction: to see a good result and completely abandon store-bought shampoo, it may take a month,
  • For those who have dry hair, soda may not be suitable: soda dries out the hair and scalp,
  • Baking soda doesn't always wash your hair perfectly: if your hair is too oily, baking soda won't do the job.

Homemade shampoo with egg

For this, the yolk of a chicken or quail egg is used.

The beneficial properties of egg yolks are ideal for hair care.

Washing your hair with an egg is one of the most popular methods of washing your hair, which our mothers and grandmothers used; this method has a large number of fans.

For washing your hair, it is best to use only egg yolk, since it contains all the useful components that we need. In addition, protein is very difficult to wash out of hair.

How to wash your hair with egg yolk?

  • First, we need to decide how many yolks we will need for this procedure: for short hair, one yolk will be enough, for long hair, take two or three.
  • It's simple: separate the yolks from the whites and get rid of the film that covers them. If this is not done, then it will be difficult to rinse your hair. This is why many people are suspending their experiment of washing their hair with egg yolk. But many people are satisfied with this film, and they do not get rid of it. Therefore, try this way and that, and make your choice: to do this, you can make a small cut and squeeze the yolk out of the film.
  • Now you need to mix the yolks with a small amount of water and beat them with a fork or whisk, apply the resulting shampoo to damp hair and scalp. Massage, leave for a few minutes, then rinse.
  • If your hair is very damaged, then you can leave this shampoo as a mask for 15-20 minutes.
  • If your hair is oily, then you can add a little lemon juice to your homemade shampoo with egg; for dry hair, you can add olive oil (but very little - just a couple of drops).

The egg also goes well with, you can add essential oils depending on your hair type or the desired effect.

Pros of homemade shampoo with egg:

  • The yolk not only cleanses the hair, but also nourishes it: it is an ideal remedy for overly damaged and dry hair,
  • It takes no more than 3-5 minutes to prepare the shampoo,
  • eggs are an affordable product that is always in the house,
  • after washing your hair with yolk, you do not need to use a balm: the hair is perfectly nourished only by the components included in the yolk,
  • Suitable for almost any type of hair, with the exception of hair that is too oily - it simply won’t wash it out, but as a mask - the yolk is also suitable for oily hair.

Cons of egg shampoo:

  • for very long hair you need a lot of yolks, because of this this method is not very cheap,
  • the smell of eggs may remain on the hair, which not everyone likes,
  • You need to get used to this method: the first time, the yolk may not wash your hair the way you want it.

Homemade shampoo with mustard

To prepare mustard shampoo, you can use mustard, which you can buy in the store.

How to use: dilute a couple of tablespoons of mustard with water to a creamy consistency. Wet your hair with water and then apply the mustard mixture to your scalp, massage lightly and rinse with water.

A big plus of using mustard is that hair grows well and dandruff disappears completely.

Therefore, if this method of washing your hair does not suit you, then do not give up mustard completely, use hair masks with mustard in the composition: if your hair is dry, then simply add more oil for nutrition.

Cons: this shampoo is only suitable for those with oily scalp. But even for them it is not recommended to use such cleansing all the time, since mustard dries out the hair very much.

Homemade shampoo made from black bread

Bread masks are very beneficial for hair, thanks to the content of substances such as manganese, iron, zinc, and vitamins B and E in black bread.

Most often, bread is used as an ingredient in hair masks, but it also acts as a soft scrub, making it suitable for washing hair.

For homemade shampoo, rye or Borodino bread is suitable.

  • How to wash your hair with bread?

Pour boiling water over several slices of bread, having previously separated the crusts from the bread, and let it brew for 30-40 minutes. Then mash the bread thoroughly so that there are as few crumbs as possible (this can be done using a blender). Apply the bread mixture to damp hair, paying special attention to the roots, massage thoroughly and rinse.

If you also want to treat your hair, then you can add other useful ingredients to the bread: a little oil for dry hair, and lemon juice for oily hair.

Instead of water, bread can be soaked with a decoction of herbs (nettle, burdock, chamomile, sage).

Pros of washing your hair with bread:

  • black bread not only cleanses the hair, but also nourishes the scalp, promotes hair growth, strengthens the roots,
  • thanks to bread, hair becomes thicker and stronger,
  • This method of washing is suitable for dry hair, as well as to restore hair,
  • After washing your hair with bread, you do not need to use balm.

Minuses:

  • It can be difficult to wash bread crumbs out of your hair,
  • Bread shampoo is not suitable for oily scalps as it is a very mild cleanser.

Homemade hair shampoo with clay

Clay is an excellent natural cleanser, but you need to be careful with it: clay has a strong drying effect, so this method of washing is more suitable for oily hair.

And the second point is that after washing like this, the hair is less shiny.

  • Which clay to choose?

The most suitable for hair is volcanic, it is the most gentle.

Green, white and blue clay are also suitable for washing.

  • How to wash your hair with clay?

The clay must be diluted with water until it becomes a paste, then distribute the clay over damp hair, massage and rinse immediately.

You must not allow the clay to dry out; then it is extremely difficult to wash your hair!

If your hair is very dry, you can add a little vegetable oil to the clay mixture.

Homemade soap nut shampoo

Well, here we come to my favorite HOMEMADE shampoo, to which I can sing “odes” for a very long time.

I won’t burden you too much, I’ll tell you only the most important things.

Not everyone has heard of this method of washing, but it is very beneficial for hair and can replace shampoo 100%.

For washing, soap nuts are used, which I purchase online, Here

What are the benefits of soap nuts for hair and scalp:

  1. Soap nuts are hypoallergenic and suitable for almost everyone.
  2. They do not dry out your hair at all and replace both shampoo and conditioner.
  3. They have an antibacterial effect on the skin, eliminate dandruff, itching and flaking, and also strengthen the hair roots and promote their growth.

How to make shampoo from soap nuts?

To do this, I prepare a decoction: crush 10-15 soap nuts and pour 1 liter. water. After the water boils, you need to cook the nuts for 15-20 minutes, cool, strain and pour into a used shampoo bottle. The decoction can be stored in the refrigerator (in this case it must be heated before use). Use like regular shampoo.

Attention: do not allow the broth to get into your eyes! To avoid this, I tilt my head over the bathtub and wash it this way. After my nuts are cooked, I throw a handful of herbs into the broth, close the lid and let it sit. Then I strain.

Thus, the shampoo becomes more effective.

The hair becomes vibrant, shiny, and in a special way “real”, or something...

After using this shampoo for some time, I realized that my hair hardly fell out.

And for me at first, I remember, it was very surprising and unusual.

Girls, this is just my experience, so don’t judge strictly. Everything is very individual, but I still really hope that my experience will be useful to you.

In any case, try, experiment, search, and you will find what YOU need.

I wish this for you with all my heart!

What natural and homemade product do you wash your hair with? I will be glad to see your feedback, write in the comments.

Alena was with you, bye everyone!

The range of shampoos in stores is huge. But they are all manufactured in industrial conditions, contain sodium lauryl sulfate for foaming and parabens as preservatives. Therefore, their complete safety for health is quite doubtful. Let's take a closer look at how to make shampoo with your own hands, when you can be completely confident in the naturalness and harmlessness of its constituent ingredients. You can make this organic shampoo yourself in 2 versions: dry or liquid.

Types of homemade shampoos

Dry (solid) shampoo

Advantages: does not require water to cleanse hair, therefore it is indispensable in emergency situations when, in the absence of water, a clean head is urgently needed, as well as on trips, business trips, and trips. Has a long shelf life.

Flaws: not suitable for frequent use. Does not provide proper hygiene, since with constant use it promotes the accumulation of oil at the hair roots and can cause dandruff.

Mode of application: Gently apply any dry shampoo that is a powder to dry hair, trying to distribute it evenly, and, after massaging it for a couple of minutes, carefully and thoroughly comb out the powder with a wide-tooth comb.

If you want to improve the condition of your hair, you should pay special attention to the shampoos you use. A frightening figure - 96% of shampoos from popular brands contain components that poison our body. The main substances that cause all the troubles are designated on the labels as sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate, coco sulfate, PEG. These chemical components destroy the structure of the curls, the hair becomes brittle, loses elasticity and strength, and the color fades. But the worst thing is that this nasty stuff gets into the liver, heart, lungs, accumulates in organs and can cause cancer. We advise you not to use products that contain this chemical. Recently, experts from our editorial team conducted an analysis of sulfate-free shampoos, where products from Mulsan Cosmetic took first place. The only manufacturer of completely natural cosmetics. All products are manufactured under strict quality control and certification systems. We recommend visiting the official online store mulsan.ru If you doubt the naturalness of your cosmetics, check the expiration date; it should not exceed one year of storage.

Liquid shampoo

Advantages: effectively cleanses, does not irritate the scalp, nourishes, restores, reduces hair loss and prevents dandruff. Does not require additional use of conditioner and balm. Suitable for frequent use.

Flaws: short shelf life due to the absence of preservatives.

Mode of application: The mixture is applied evenly to damp hair. It is necessary to massage for 2-3 minutes, then wash in warm water.

The composition of dry or liquid homemade shampoo can be very different; the selection of ingredients for preparation depends on the type of hair.

In addition, our ancestors widely used some organic products for washing their hair, which we can use as natural shampoos:

Rye bread

  1. Advantages: accelerates hair growth, makes it soft and shiny.
  2. Flaws: small bread crumbs may remain on the hair even after thorough rinsing.

Mode of application: pour warm boiled water over fresh rye bread cut into pieces with the crusts cut off and leave to infuse. After about two hours, you need to knead the bread into a pulp with your hands. Apply it evenly to your hair and, after leaving it for fifteen minutes, rinse your hair thoroughly with warm water.

Dairy products:

Sour milk, curdled milk, kefir.

  1. Advantages: contain a lot of useful natural substances, create a thin film on the hair that protects well from negative external influences.
  2. Flaws: not suitable for oily hair.

Mode of application: Coat your hair liberally with yogurt (you will need up to 0.5 liters), sour milk or kefir diluted with water. Wrap your hair in cellophane. After half an hour, rinse them thoroughly by adding a little lemon juice to the water.

Dark beer

  1. Advantages: An excellent remedy against hair loss.
  2. Flaws: not a very pleasant smell.

Mode of application: Apply about half a glass of dark beer to the roots of hair moistened with warm water, leave it for 10-15 minutes, then rinse. Moisten the hair along the entire length again with half a glass of fresh beer. Then comb them and dry them without using a hair dryer. Do not wash off the beer.

Dry shampoo recipes

Shampoo base

Cosmetic stores and pharmacies sell special bases for preparing organic shampoos. It does not contain preservatives and sodium lauryl phosphate, but does contain surface cleaning agents. Homemade shampoos made using this base will foam well and rinse your hair. If you add certain essential oils and herbal decoctions to the base at home, you can get shampoos for various types of hair.

  • Suitable for dry hair essential oils of orange, ylang-ylang, geranium, jasmine, rose, rosemary; decoctions of lavender herbs, coltsfoot;

  4. Mix the mixture well and cool.
  5. Pour the resulting shampoo into a small container. The composition can be stored in the refrigerator for up to ten days.

Phytoshampoo

This shampoo will be stored in powder form for quite a long time. To wash your hair with it, you will need to dilute 3 tablespoons with water to a paste-like state and lubricate your hair with this mixture.

Compound: licorice root, hops, nettle, birch buds, ground ginger, mustard powder, rye flour.

Cooking method: Grind dried nettle leaves, birch buds, hop cones and licorice root separately in a coffee grinder and sift through a strainer. There should be 1 tablespoon of each of these ingredients. Mix them together, add 10 tablespoons of rye flour, half a tablespoon of ground ginger and 1 tablespoon of mustard powder. Mix all the ingredients well again to obtain a homogeneous mixture. This herbal shampoo perfectly cleanses hair, is easily washed off, and has healing and restorative properties.

Egg shampoos

Homemade shampoos that contain egg yolk should be used immediately after preparation. Such mixtures cannot be stored. They saturate the hair with nutrients, making it beautiful and soft, and have a good effect on the scalp. Egg whites are not used in the formulations; they must be separated because they coagulate when heated.

For normal hair

Ingredients: 1 egg yolk, 1 tablespoon gelatin.

Cooking method: gelatin should be poured with water and left for 30-40 minutes to swell. Then heat it in a water bath until it is completely dispersed and strain through a strainer. Combine cooled gelatin with egg yolk. The resulting shampoo is applied to the hair. Wash off with warm water after 10-15 minutes.

For dry hair

Ingredients: 1 yolk, 2 tablespoons of castor oil.

Mode of application: mix the yolk with castor oil and wash your hair with it, massaging thoroughly at the roots.

For oily hair

Ingredients: 1 yolk, 50 grams of cognac, 2 tablespoons of boiled water.

Mode of application: Having mixed the components well, apply the mixture to your hair and leave for 3-5 minutes, rinse with warm water.

For dandruff

Ingredients: 2 yolks, medical alcohol - a teaspoon, sage oil - 5 drops, rose oil - 1 drop.

Cooking method: Dissolve essential oils in alcohol, add beaten yolks and mix. The composition should be applied for 5-10 minutes, after wetting the hair.

For all hair types

1. Ingredients: 1 yolk, 50 ml low-fat kefir, half a teaspoon of salt.
Mode of application: add whipped yolk and salt to kefir, mix. Apply the mixture to damp hair. After 3-5 minutes, rinse thoroughly.

2. Ingredients: egg yolk, juice of half a lemon, half a banana.
Preparation and use: peel half of the banana, remove the top layer of pulp, rub the remaining middle through a fine sieve. Add lemon juice to the banana, then the yolk. This shampoo can be used constantly, it perfectly washes your hair, making it healthy and soft.

Svetlana Rumyantseva

Cosmetics intended for hair hygiene are advertised daily by well-known cosmetic companies. The promise of miraculous relief from dandruff and brittle hair remains just promises. Shampoo commercials use the properties of Photoshop and graphic “transformation” of hair after store-bought shampoos.

After prolonged use of industrial shampoos, hair loses its shine, the scalp becomes dry, and dandruff appears.

Attention: all manufacturers of industrial cosmetics add preservatives and sulfates to shampoos, which ensure long-term storage of products on store shelves.

In the 18th and 19th centuries, ladies used herbal infusions to wash their hair. Detergents did not have foaming properties, the hygienic procedure caused a lot of trouble due to the laboriousness of the process.

Nowadays, soap base is used to prepare shampoo at home. You can purchase it in pharmacies and specialized markets. In exceptional cases, you can use baby shampoo without additives as the basis for homemade hair cosmetics.

  • Retinol acetate

Vitamin A in liquid form can be purchased at any pharmacy kiosk. Added to shampoo to improve the trophic functions of the hair root system, improve blood circulation, nutrition, and hair growth.

  • Ascorbic acid

Has a beneficial effect on the hair structure. Strengthens follicles, prevents hair loss.

  • B vitamins

Thiamine, riboflavin, pyridoxine are the most important components in natural shampoo. With their help, scalp cells are regularly renewed, and the building cells of the bulb are regenerated. Under the influence of B vitamins, hair has a healthy shine.

  • Tocopherol

Normalizes hormonal balance. Vitamin “E” regulates renewal processes at the cellular level, which helps slow down aging.

In pharmacy form, the vitamin complex can be added independently to any homemade natural shampoo.

Store-bought shampoos: what's the catch?

The annotation of purchased cosmetic products for hair hygiene indicates the quantitative ratio of the ingredients included in the composition. After conducting a chemical analysis of several types of industrial shampoos, it was proven that the indicated composition does not correspond to reality. Herbal ingredients and vitamin supplements are in the very last row of shampoo composition.

The main function of purchased detergents is to remove dirt. Contains harmful chemical compounds. Surfactants (surfactants) remove residual sebum produced by the glands and provide the shampoo with abundant foaming.

Negative qualities of purchased products:

  • Frequent allergic reactions to the chemical components present.
  • Industrial shampoos affect the functioning of the sebaceous glands, which, with prolonged use, causes dry skin, dandruff, and thinning hair.
  • Covers hair with a greasy film. Due to this, the natural nutritional functions are disrupted, the curls have an oily sheen, and the strands look untidy.

Shampoo classification

Before preparing shampoo, you need to determine the type of hair for which the product will be made. If the detergent does not match the type of scalp, it will not give the maximum effect; on the contrary, it will worsen the health of the hair.

A good homemade shampoo contains herbal extracts, vitamin supplements in the form of natural juices, natural ingredients that do not contain chemical compounds.

Shampoos are:

  • Liquid
  • Dry
  • Solid

Making homemade natural shampoo is easy. To do this, a soap component is taken as a basis, third-party ingredients are added: food products, vitamin complexes, flavored oil.

The soap base for shampoo should be stored in a separate container from the finished product. If necessary, a certain amount of the base is poured into a separate container and the accompanying ingredients are added. It is not recommended to store finished shampoo for a long time.

DIY solid hair shampoos
