Foil (regular culinary foil will do) cut into strips 10 centimeters wide and 2 lengths from the strand to be bleached (this length is needed to fold the foil in half and cover the strand completely, along the entire length).

• Darning (large and small): using a ponytail comb, the strands are separated one at a time, first one wide strand is separated, then it is divided into smaller ones.

The lightening compound is applied to the hair evenly over the entire length; the strand must be thoroughly soaked and combed with it, otherwise a uniform lightening cannot be achieved.

The foil is folded so that the composition does not leak out (to do this, carefully bend the edges). There is no need to squeeze the hair inside the foil pocket. The composition is kept on the hair for different times (it depends on the condition, color of the hair, the lightening composition itself - 3%, 6% or 9%), on average it takes 20-30 minutes.

You cannot overexpose the bleaching composition, this can have a bad effect on their condition, in other words, you will burn your hair. If applying the composition and wrapping the hair in foil takes too much time, then you can use lightening compositions of different concentrations. Treat the first strands with a 3% composition, and treat the last (lower strands) with a 9% oxidizing agent, then the total time the composition stays on the hair will be approximately the same.

Hair highlighting on foil - before and after results

If one part of the strands (to which the composition was applied first) has already become sufficiently discolored, and the strands dyed last have not yet acquired the desired tone, then this process can be accelerated with the help of a hairdryer. The air flow and temperature of the hair dryer should be set to the minimum value.

You need to warm up the strands for 3-5 minutes, alternating only between those that are not sufficiently discolored. After warming up, waiting for the foil to cool, you need to evaluate the state of the tone and, if necessary, repeat this technique. When heated, the action of hydrogen peroxide is activated and accelerated.
